Talking about hair yet having a terrible hair day...😅 If you have any personal style tips or thoughts about small foreheads, please share them in the comments!
Everyone complain about having a big forehead but y'all have so many hairstyles you can try but we don't and yet people say they want a small forehead 🙃
I totally agree!! I’m thankful I can just barely pull off bangs. But my bangs are cut SO SMALL because of my short forehead hahaha. It makes them hard to style. People with big foreheads always get the joke that you could land a plane on that thing. But people just tell me I look like a neanderthal 😂
I myself have a low forehead. Back then, it really bothered me so much but now what I have come to realize is that, how beneficial having low forehead can be in the long-run & how rare is that! As always thank you, Ma'me! ❤
Ppl be wanting small foreheads till they know that you literally cant have any type of bangs, i say that as a small forehead person that always puts the hair behind my ear, i wish i hate a little bigger forehead (:
“Hope you find this video helpful.” Woman, this video was extremely helpful. You’re a scientist in hair as it relates to the shape of your face. THANK YOU! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰
Great video. I have a small odd hairline with a pointy chin and wide face. Most people never mention a small forehead. I would really enjoy more videos on parting. Please add curly hair notes too.
Thanks for the comment Terry! Glad you liked the video. I do have a video on parting (the one using Kendall Jenner as an example) so you should check it out 🥰 will add curly hair to my list of topics and see what I can come up with!
Finally someone that talks about weird and small hairlines! I have one similar to Selma Blair and I've always struggled to find tips for it. I confirm what you say in the video, I think it looks best when you try to hide that weird hairline
Thank you sooo much for this video!! My forehead is so short, and my hairline comes down so low that I actually shave it back 😂 I have a diamond shaped face, with the protruding cheekbones. it's such a rare face shape and it can be hard to find content on it, so thanks again for these amazing tips!! you are absolutely brilliant!! ❤
Ok wow this video is actually helpful with styling and explains the why behind the hairstyles. Every other video I've seen on the internet is just like super basic but this is so detailed, love it!!

what is your opinion on getting a septum piercing if you have a small forehead? I think that with big jewelry, it would just make the middle part of your face appear longer and your forehead smaller. or maybe you could do a video on face percings in general? 😃 it would be awesome! (especially since you already seem to have two nose piercings)
Hmm I think that a septum piercing can be a way to draw emphasis, but not sure if it actually extends the middle third (because there is still a separation between what our eyes recognize as skin vs jewelry). I’m gonna have to look at some more examples and think about this one 🤔 but I like the idea of piercings as a topic so I’ll add it to my list. Thanks for the suggestion!! 🥰❤️
@@stylerefinement piercings as it relates to how it make your face look smaller or wider would be so great! it was one of the things i thought about when i got my antitragus piercing i didnt want anything to make my ears look bigger or my face wider
This is so helpful, thank you so much. I'm gonna take some of these thoughts to my stylist because I've been struggling with figuring out a good haircut for my wee forehead TT_TT
What type of bangs do you recommend for a square face with a small forehead? I’ve always had side bangs but I am so bored of the look! Loving all your videos by the way, they are super informative!!
Hi! The style/length of bangs also depends on other factors like your face length, shape/size of your facial features, etc so it’s hard to make an accurate reco! But generally speaking, bangs will highlight your jawline more if you have a square face since covering your forehead will bring more emphasis to your middle and lower thirds ☺️ hope that helps!
Excellent video. I've been following your channel for a few weeks and have found the tips to be extremely practical, unique and to the point. You also make sure to not 'correct' flaws but just highlight how they contribute to the effect accentuating or highlighting certain features can create. Ps- as a small forehead girly, I've wondered why side part looks better on me but immediately looks bad if my hair is flat. Your point on the curved side part is such a great observation and an easy way to handle the hair. Great work and keep going!❤
Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback. I did get another similar feedback yesterday about the sound effects and I'll focus on toning it down a bit in my future videos :)
Very helpful video!! I have a narrow hair and most of the time I like to emphasize it. I like it. But I want to mix it up now and try the curtain bangs and I like your idea of the curved part. New subscriber ❤
Thank you very much Jenn! I learned very useful tips. I'm not sure how many people have similar issues but could you also do a video on hairstyle for widow's peak? and a cowlick in the front also. Thanks
Hey, thanks for the info. Can you do a video series where we send in photos of ourselves and you tell us what type of hair style would look good or if we would look good in bangs? Kind of how home interior youtubers do? lol Ill send my photo in 😂😂
My forehead definitely isn’t small, but I watched this because it is the smallest third of my long face (middle being the longest due to my nose). Can I wear bangs? I’ve loved baby bangs in the past.
I'd need to see your face to make an accurate recommendation, but generally speaking if your middle third is the longest, I'd advise against blunt bangs because covering your forehead can make your nose area appear longer as it gets emphasized more! I'd opt for curtain bangs that expose parts of your forehead, OR baby bangs as you mentioned as they tend to draw the emphasis to the hair itself!
tysmm for this video you made it so easy to understand with the pictures!! it was so helpful but out of curiosity how would bangs or hairstyles in general work if you have a smaller forehead with a shorter lower third but a square face shape? some hairstyles make the middle of my face look kinda flat and empty/wide and hairstyles with lots of volume like waves look nice but overwhelm my face and draw the attention away from my face.
I’m glad you found the video helpful! ☺️ I’d have to see the actual face to make an accurate reco, but from what you described it sounds like you’re concerned about your middle third section appearing longer because both your top and bottom thirds are shorter? I would advise against heavy bangs since covering your entire top third can accentuate your middle third more. So longer bangs below your brows in a thinner style (kinda like curtain bangs) would work better if you wanna get bangs! Another way to shorten the middle third is to get a shorter hairstyle like a bob, but the length of the hair would also depend on your preference as well ☺️ I explain more about this in my video about prominent noses - the first example I use on that video with Hailey Bieber as an example might be helpful for you, so definitely check it out! Thanks for the comment ❤️
@@stylerefinement Thank you so much!! I'll consider this for when I get my next haircut. Hey I have a question, so my face is short and I have small forehead I cut my own bangs and when they are above my eyebrows and dense they look ugly but when I let them grow to my cheekbones (I have a big cheekbones) and wear them in a strand form they look nice and also when I wear a high clean ponytail my face looks weird but when I make a puff and let out some strands of hair it looks good can you explain from this what hairstyles should I wear , i'd be very grateful and awesome video btw 💕
Unfortunately based on your description it's hard to say, but generally longer curtain bangs style creates a less harsh of a contrast between the hair and the face, and the longer sides frame the cheekbones in a natural way which is probably why you feel like longer and less dense bangs work better for you! If you need hair volume / strands around your hairline it might also have something to do with the shape of your hairline itself and your cranial top as well. I have a video on hairline & cranial top so you should check it out!
I think it really depends case by case! But I would generally advise against bangs, since if you already have a round face I'm assuming your face is short and bangs will shorten the face more! Hope that helps :)
Hi - it would still depend on other factors like the length of your face, your facial features, etc. But how do you have same horizontal thirds with a smaller forehead?
Hi! I’d need to see a photo to give an accurate reco, but generally speaking if you have protruding cheekbones, bangs will highlight your cheekbones more. So depending on what you want, you could go either way! 🥰
