- I had planned a mini overnight getaway for Jared and I in the new year, and we unexpectedly had the opportunity to go to Florida for a few days as well which was such a refreshing surprise! Pride and Prejudice is my favorite movie
It’s so important to remember that your marriage is what you’re going to have forever. Our kids are only ours for a season. It is sad- but it’s so special. That we get this time with them, that we get to love them and the love we receive from our children who know they can count on us, that we get to support them in their interests and personalities. Make them feel safe and teach them about life and themselves. But we’re merely a stepping stone to the rest of their lives.
It’s a role we cannot take lightly because we are shaping the future of generations and we are the foundation for which human beings will lead their lives. But we have to remember, they’re not ours, they’re theirs. Wholly and completely their own people. And that is beautiful.
My kids will always be welcome home, and I hope they’ll always want to come home and that as adults we’ll have beautiful relationships and that they’ll still feel safe and belonging with me. And while sometimes I even weep over the fact they are not mine to keep, I know that they have so much purpose. And I would never want to hold them back.
So yes take care of your marriage because that is yours to keep, your happily ever after and companion. That is what will bring you fulfillment until the end. We can’t rely on our kids to make us happy, it’s not their job. Which makes it even more important to take care of ourselves as individuals.
I’m not part of organized religion but I do believe that letting our marriages go in this season is a huge mistake.

The difference between a symphony and an orchestra is pretty easy:) so just for the ones who are interested: an orchestra is a big group of instrumentalists playing together. Can be a wind instrument orchestra, a string orchestra or whatever. A symphony is a big and long piece in classical music. Usually with four movements (sections) played by a symphony orchestra. Which is an orchestra with the exact amount of musicians for each instrument that you need for symphonies:)
There are usually strings, wood winds, brass and percussionist included…
So you saw an orchestra or if you want to be more specific a symphony orchestra (so the people know which kind) but you didn’t see a symphony ❤

Literally love the honesty with the pregnancy clothing struggle. I remember my third trimester being like this in winter and always felt like all the other pregnant mammas looked so amazing, but I just looked terrible. However, I must say you are rocking the bump and looking radiant. ❤ sending love!
I am pregnant with my second baby and about to enter into the two under two stage. This was so good for me to watch as a reminder to give my husband the time and intentionality he needs!

A symphony is wonderful!!
I always tell new moms to not become more obsessed with their kids than they are about their husband, since once their kids are grown and out of the house, they still have their husband and need to make sure that relationship is always strong and wonderful.
You look amazing pregnant!! I get very huge (I have the videos to prove it haha).
How cute your maternity suit is. I never wore a maternity suit, because whenever I was pregnant, I was either newly pregnant in the sumertimes, that no one noticed (my suit just stretched a little in the belly) or I gave birth in late spring/early summer before wearing a suit.

We’ve been to all 3 movies in concert and these guys were incredible! Last concert in Bulgaria was in an ancient theater outside due to Covid and OMG! Such an unforgettable experience 🤍 So cool that you went ☺️
Everything you’ve said regarding kids and marriage resonated with me so much! …and maternity style. My first pregnancy was Jan to Oct 2022, so I really enjoyed dresses for the big bump. I’m struggling with finding pants and outfits that are comfortable, especially for church, now that it’s colder with my 3rd trimester bump!

I would love it if you could do a video on how you prepare for leaving your kids. Hoe do you prepare yourself how do you prepare them especially for the first time. My daugther is turning 1 and we have not had a night away from her yet and that is something both myself and my husband would like to do this year to still focus on our marraige and eachother. Would love some tips on how you do it.
We just came back from Florida! We drove there though with our 2.5 year old and 8 month old from Ontario. Definitely flying next time haha

And are you going to do a potty training video? I’m potty training my 27 months old girl and she did great the first 2-3weeks but now is like she is going back like she doesn’t know what to do and is frustrating because I know she can do it, and she knows she supposed to go potty but she just doesn’t want to go potty and instead just stay whenever she made the accident.
