  • This video is my independent review and demonstration of the handy rechargeable battery powered Bosch Easy Pump. It shows it being used to top up the inflation of a car tyre / tire and pump up a high pressure Schrader / Presta bike tyre. This video shows how to use it along with some tips and pros and cons based on my usage of this portable compressor or pump. Includes the unboxed compact product with the USB-C charging with an adjustable set point in Bar PSI or kpa.

    Thanks for the video, helped me figure out my Bosch EasyPump adapter didn't have the sealing ring inside which prevented it from inflating my bike tires more than 25 PSI.
    One tip though: don't always top up the battery as that will cause it to deteriorate quicker. Only top it up right before use, when you want to store it for later use, charge it to 75% (three bars)

    • @Raumance

      @KyanpuSan หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@adrianbuzea445 I returned it to the shop as I had only purchased it recently and got a new one with a sealing ring. If yours doesn't have one it's basically a factory defect and you're eligible for a return.
      If that's too late for you, you always try to find one of the right size. I can imagine that should just work.

    Hi! Thanks for the review! It seems a little noisy on camera… Air compressor pumps usually are… How noisy would you say this is subjectively or compared to other inflators if you’re able to comment? Cheers

    • @dodeedo
      @dodeedo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good point and I should have made a comment on this. The noise really is not an issue, I used to run one that ran from the car's battery this unit is a lot quieter, not silent of course, but a lot better than others I have used. I did have the camera on tripod quite close so it picked up more noise than it would have done if camera was at normal "ear" height.

    • @josephcullen2512
      @josephcullen2512 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dodeedo okay thanks! That’s what I would have thought. Being a 3.6 V tool I thought it would surely have to be quieter than most similar which are all twelve volt at the least, even ones with their own battery inbuilt. I value my hearing so noise is a significant consideration for me hahah. Thanks for your reply!

    • @dodeedo
      @dodeedo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m with you on the hearing. The big advantage is you can set it and walk away which radically reduces the noise. If I take a few steps away it is no louder than a car driving past

    How long does it take to pump a fully flat tire at 2.5 bar, how much battery is left after 1tire cycle (i.e. how many tires a fully charged battery can pump) and how long does it take to charge an empty battery at 100% ?

    • @dodeedo
      @dodeedo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I topped up 8 tyres, and it used half the battery power I would not advise it for full inflation, its not designed for high volume continuous use. Use an air line or foot pump for the initial high volume inflation then finish with the pump would be a better idea.

    How many pumps does the battery last?
    Or, for example, how much battery is used to inflate four tires in a car?

    • @dodeedo
      @dodeedo  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The pump is quite capab;e of topping up 8 tyres, 2 or 3 times. However it is not a high volume pump so would not want to use it to inflate 4 tyres from flat.

      Yes if it has a standard valve. The readings are very repeatable, I have not been able to calibrate it to see what the accuracy is, but I'm that it is better than the dial type pumps.

      I guess with that small power it can not handle any leak which is more than common with regular connectors (at least in my case).

    • @Wekotin
      @Wekotin 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Common misconseption. It’s not the air coming out of tire but the air that is inside pump’s hose escaping. You can confirm this when you reconnect the pump and it shows 0,2 bar or so less pressure.. wait a minute now you ask that’s less pressure than before! Yes it is as you reconnect and the valve opens some some of the tire pressure goes into the pump’s hose and that’s why it shows less pressure. So you lose pressure when you connect the pump but not when disconnecting.

    • @chch242
      @chch242 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dodeedo what G4ry was asking is, that road bicycles have a tubeless setup where to seat the tire to the rim you need to deliver huge amount of air in a short time, more like a burst to make the tire to expand fast and seat it to the rim hooks. I think this pump has no fast throughput.

    • @mlpugs1234

      No, it doesn't put out the air fast enough to seat tubeless tires. You will need a tank style compressor or a pump designed for tubeless-seating.
