Very well articulated and explained. I like the “comparative” studies description. Looking forward to more vids. For me, I’d like to see some examples in action that demonstrate some of what you’ve discussed, especially regarding the principles over techniques. What I’ve been taught, Stav principles ideas come from a different angle than other arts that use principles principles over techniques. I’m less talking about how the mind sets are used but more about when you mention understanding of the principles of the runes and characters of the gods. I have my own take on this but I would be interested to hear your perspective with examples if possible. Beautiful setting!

Thanks Ro, could you please clarify and expand on the part in which you mentioned what you think about mistaken elements taken from Snorri in relation to Stav. Is it that some people just take the eddas as gospel missing the tradition? Or some of the specific elements where the eddas are interpreted e.g. Havamal?

      Thanks Chris.
It is not really about mistaken elements, but elements that are not coherent with Stav, or not described within the Stav curriculum; for instance I often see referrals to the cosmology of Snorri, or Yggdrasil or deities that are not a part of Stavs pantheon.
There is not really something wrong with this, as long as you are aware of the differences and clarify them. But it is often obvious that those who makes these referrals do not distinguish between the sources and pretty much regards it all as the same. Which makes Stav less precise and compromises the logic of the system. The written sources are already conflicting each other in many ways so they do not suffer.
I think it might be helpful to see it as different denominations like within Christianity, most people would be fully aware how weird it would be to go into a Pentecostal church and refer to the saints of Catholicism.

@@Stavgille thanks for clarifying. Perhaps you could examine this topic in a lecture.
