    Man, I love your channel. When I turned 46, I became a grass Nazi. I wish I could get my hands on the sun joe reel mower. They don't offer it in Canada. I started to mow using my manual reel mower

    Ok, you just put down some Ironite and the grass greened up real nice in 3 days. Then you cut down to1 inch which I think wiped out the Ironite green. The triple 18 helps with the lawn stress which is great, but do you think you will need to hit with Ironite again to get that dark green color? If only I could get my lawn t olook that good with or without Ironite! Nice video, I'm learning a lot!

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are completely right I will hit it again in a week with more ironite for sure to get another green up! Honestly with me having a TH-cam channel I am obsessed with testing everything out ruining things then fixing them lol realistically someone could just topdress overseed milorganite ironite weed preventer water and mow once a week and their lawn would be the best in the neighborhood… but what’s the fun in that right lol thanks for tuning in!!! 🤙🏾🙏🏾

    Haha yeah!! I was wondering when you was gonna bring down the height of cut. I think your the only guy on YT that shows Sun Joe consistently with its potential. AYE SUN JOE! Sponsor this brahdda already!!

      Haha thanks for the support brother! I mean if our lawns can look like a TH-cam lawn without buying a $5000 reel mower and having to deal with all the maintenance why not try the little tools first! 🤙🏾🙏🏾

    I was nervous when I dropped sun 1”, I did the same thing, hit it with 16-16-16, and ironite, watered for 20 minutes, and it’s been great. Although I was already down to 1” when I switched

    Nice house and lawn! Interesting video. What I always understood is not to remove more than a third of the grass height at a time to avoid shock stressing the grass plants.
    Going from 50mm down to 28mm in one day is hard on the grass. Or was it higher than 50mm when you started?
    So for example, If you're at 75mm before mowing you can go down to 50mm, When it grows back to 60mm again you could already take it down to 40mm, when it has grown to 50 after a few days you can go down to 35, then after a couple of days when it's grown to 42 you can take it down to 28. It's a stepwise process and allows the grass to recover time after time. Feeding it with quality fertilizer helps it recover and some watering in the evening/very early morning helps it too. It has to be trained to become denser, otherwise a short cut looks bad, so mowing twice a week with regular fertilizer encourages vigorous growth.
    I'm currently at 50mm with my rotary mower but I want to go to a reel ('cylinder') mower maybe next summer. I'll adopt the above regime to reduce cutting height.
    All the best, Rob in Switzerland

    This Sun Joe mower really seems like it is doing a great job. I use a fiskars push reel, and it does a very very nice job at 1" height. First cut looked like yours as well. I was scccccccccared. Thanks for not leaving us hanging brah.
