Yup, this is Shohei's 4th season as a full time pitcher and batter while being at least 25% better than league average at both. Babe Ruth never had 1 season like that. His last 2 seasons as a full time pitcher, he only had 194 combined plate appearances. We've never seen a Shohei Ohtani in the history of MLB. What a joy it is!
It is sad to see year after year of unreal sensational seasons go to waste in this useless team. And Haters are always gonna use this to throw shade in Ohtani’s greatestness.
Starting pitchers need about four or five days to recover their strength and prepare for their next start, but Otani deserves respect for hitting 40 homers on just two games rest for a team that played 113 games!
Even after Shohei had a complete game with shutout in his start of the first game of a double-header, he can still hit 2 homers(37&38) in the 2nd game of the double-header before he got taken out the game due to cramps when he was running around the bases after he hit the 2nd HR. Yet at the first pitch of the 1st AB of the next day's game, Shohei hit another homer(39th) while later he was out of the game due to cramps again. Even Shohei got so much cramps, he still couldn't rest any day because the team's burden all fall on his back. Shohei started his next start with 0 run in 4 innings but he once again got cramps at his middle finger and he couldn't pitch anymore and had to ask to be off the mound 😢. However, he kept in tje lineup. In next inning, Shohei stole a base and then made a run with his speed. In the 8th inning, Shohei hit his 40th HR. Shohei had hit home run (or homers) in the day he had cramps for consecutively 3 times already 😅! The media kept calling Shohei the Ironman or Superman 🦸😂but Shohei is just carrying Angels on his shoulders alone as usual this season like 2021 & 2022 while Trout and all other 20 Angels players got injured throughout this year! And as Shohei explained to the media that cramps are just the natural signs of tiredness of his HUMAN BODY!
