Fantastic and Masterpiece
There are 2 recordings of this symphony?? 😮Love the slow tempo of the opening compared to the other. The first movement is so beautiful.
reminds me of the soundtrack to Conan the barbarian from 1982 by Basil Poledouris
It certainly evokes images of mythological high adventure in the mind's eye, and it is very cinematic...
Same Ätnam, Same Ät-channel!
OK, I thought it was funny.
Great symphony, thanks for sharing! The third movement remembers me the last symphony of Sibelius.
Beautiful symphony, however during the first part I couldn't help but notice the apparent similarity with the 3rd symphony by Gliere written a bit earlier, in 1911. I wonder whether P.-B. was familiar with this work
I'd've liked to discern any similarity with Glière ...but couldn't. You have the sharper ear!
@@steveegallo3384 I've been listening to Gliere's Third quite a lot recently, still can't make my opinion whether I like it or not, that's all!
@@andreykonovalov2324 -- Oh, you'll LIKE it alright....It's ALMOST as Colossal as his SECOND, which you'll someday enjoy as a constant companion until your last breath! Greetings from San Agustinillo!
@@steveegallo3384 Well, I have known Gliere for 15 years at least and my opinion hasn't shifted yet. The truth is I am very puzzled why his profoundly nationalistic third symphony is so popular in western countries while in Russia (where he is generally considered as a rather mediocre composer) - not at all, moreover, his late Soviet works are more popular than second or third symphonies
@@andreykonovalov2324 -- Based only on my favorite, his 2nd - ah! those Zaporozhye Cossacks - Rakhmaninov was much indebted to Gliere...never acknowledged......
QUÉ BUENA SINFONÍA MUSICAL PARA LOS CONCIERTOS DE LA 2 ES EN TVE 2.
