I had a NAS/PLEX running on a RPi4 8Gb but I needed the Pi for another project so I swapped over to a Dell Thin Client 5070 and the same 2Tb SSD and a 4Tb HDD for storage but they are on USB so not the fastest transfers but it does the job, I would love to have the storage going through PCIe and have a larger SSD drive, the Zimaboard looks ideal especially with all the hardware available for it.
Exactly, I been looking into some options on running my own NAS and I agree, ZimaBoard seems to be a good choice. Casa OS doesn't support RAID as of now but I think there is an updating coming next month for it. I will make another video when I figure that out but I do want to connect 2 SSDs. Thank you :)
Great YT! I appreciate you explaining this so well. I'm looking to have my own NAS, VPN, & Backup Solution. Does it look like the Zimaboard 432 be a good option?
Hi, I would say the ZimaBoard is the best fit for that. I'm making my own VPN and NAS for my TH-cam backups as I'm running out of space on my OneDrive. One thing I have to mention, Casa OS doesn't support Raid yet but last I remember they were talking about it coming this month so I would search that if you care about having Raid. I'm making a video soon on how to make your own NAS and VPN on the ZimaBoard so stay tuned for that. One last thing because I care about your trust, I was given the board for free but I genuinely recommend it and I'm not being paid or anything for the video or if you buy the board but I recommend it as I was going to buy it anyway since I needed it for my own NAS. Thank you for watching and the comment.
Are you asking about the Linux version that this casa os runs on? Good question but I would have to check, if it helps, this comes pre installed and casa os boots up right away which is why I don't know on top of my head. I will try to find out and get back to you if I do
So it comes with a cable that you can connect a normal sata hard drive. All you need is to connect it then power it one. Let me see I have another video that shows it in more details. give me a few I will find it for you. Thank you for watching
See this one here th-cam.com/video/Tel3figqhJI/w-d-xo.html I go in more details on how to connect the hard drive. Do not hesitate to ask if anything else you think I can help with :)
I'm thankful they agreed to provide the board for me to review and use. I do have couple projects coming for it and I was looking into it before even working with them. I needed something to backup my videos as my OneDrive getting full. Thanks for watching and always being here :)

Great Video. I want to set up a homeserver in the future.
Thank you, I'm making a VPN and a NSA out of it, videos are coming soon. You can also use it for home automation. Stay tuned for that :)
