In this Walk, We Covered : Katra Jaimal wholesale market Quite a bustling and vibrant market in Amritsar. market is pretty close to the Golden Temple and consists of a labyrinth of narrow streets laid out in all directions. Traffic is a terrible conundrum, the cacophony of all different types of autos, rickshaws and taxis trying to navigate around. There are a jamboree of shops selling an assortment of things. There were a number of shops selling dresses and fabrics - salwars, Patiala Suits, Phulkari clothing, lehengas, jackets etc. There were also shops dedicated to selling the famous Punjabi jooti (shoes), dry fruits, papads and what not. There is considerable amount of price bargaining going on in most shops, so be prepared to haggle!
Amritsar is the city of punjab and the vibe of punjabi runs through the streets of amritsar. The place is fantasticand has many places to visit. We learnt more about the punjabi culture. The vibes are very positive and more like punjabi vibe. The city has many places to visit and the golden temple is the most famous places, is a must visit. the place is a delight and a must visit.
