  • Well iv been putting off this project really, I don’t seem to mind tinkering with drills which arnt mine buuuuut since I hardly use this drill! ( plot spoiler it’s a bit numb!!) and iv fallen out of love with xgt tools a wee bit, anyway I really needed to get this drill working again!! I hate being let down by my tools and thought it might be an easy fix so folks here we are again on the work bench taking another makita clam shell to bit to have a peak inside #worklife #tools #makita #cordlesstools #buildingtrade #goodtools #diy #powertool #plumbing

You're right. It has only two pins. But our friend Dean in Ireland the TH-cam tool fixer says it does work better with four pins. They're the same pins in lots of other drills. My BHP 451's for example. I would put two more pins in. I'm sure you have some knocking about there. 😉

They're called shoulder pins and cost about 3 quid each 👍🏼

Heavy because its good for bashing stuff. Like hammering in plugs with battery.

This happened to me a couple of days ago, my phone heard me bitching about it, and today TH-cam showed me this video. God damn the AI is getting good.

Fixed the blade slipping on my repaired makita cordless bandsaw. It's not the spring but I'm sure you already found out the fix.

@@UKTOOLTALK The first non brushless one. It's the one with the hidden screw under the non motor driven axle that is used to set the angle and keep the blade in place.

@@UKTOOLTALK Trick is to set the two axles at a slight angle, fighting each other and keeping the blade in tension and in its place.

@@UKTOOLTALK Next model, version 2, has that screw uncovered in order to easily fix it on the fly.
