I genuinely don’t even think it’s about how high you rank and what league you’re in for who you get matched up against. I think the match making is just broken and they don’t care to fix it or make it better. I’m only in the Varsity league and routinely get matched up against the Lakers, Bucks, and Celtics no matter which tier team I play with. I even got matched up with the 16/17 Warriors once while in JV league… playing as the current day Hawks, a tier 3 team. Makes the game way less fun to play when you have to work your ass off against bad matchups each game to even stand a chance.
