      @@MARTIN20-USASeriously . All the professionals who treated them and/or watched their testimonies agreed with their extended abuse. They also said that the events of the last week before the murders contributed to their belief that the parents went into the den that night to get guns to kill them because They believed their sons were going to tell everyone what they had been doing to them. The JURY absolutely “Did NOT “HEAR ample evidence the second trial for the Menendez brothers was not fair. It was a completely bias judge that did not allow any of the abuse excuse per se to partake in the second trial so that washes away the whole defense attorneys argument “ it was in perfect self-defense. They should’ve gotten manslaughter.NOT LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE It’s so simple and so easy to understand this and why they’re making such a mountain out of a damn molehill is beyond me. It was unfair from a biased judge and a biased prosecutor cause they needed to win after the OJ case!! CASE closed, good Lord, good grief. Plus, there is an ex Menudo band member that was molested by Jose Menendez who’s got his documentary on Peacock, which proves Jose Menendez like raping young boys, including his own two sons. With all the pedophiles and freaks out there today. Why is it so hard to believe that Jose Menendez was a sadistic freak!!🤦🏽‍♀️

    • @BarbaraEMarshallCampbell
      @BarbaraEMarshallCampbell 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      I do feel that these two have served enough time. They should have received 30 years with the possibility of parole, not life in prison due to the extenuating circumstance of sadistic abuse by the father and the failure of the mother to remove the threat to the boys by filing charges and taking full custody.
      Her failure to act to protect and remove the threat to the Melendez Brothers led to their actions. I'm not saying it excuses the two for murder but feel the young men have served enough time, so yes, I agree the sentence should have been 30 years with the possibility of parole.

  • @debbieolson5348
    @debbieolson5348 7 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

    One thing about the 2nd trial is that the judge took away the imperfect self defense and manslaughter. Therefore the jury could only consider not guilty or 1st degree murder. I believe if people then understood the intense fear both of them felt that last week that the jury would have voted for manslaughter and not 1st degree murder. Has any of the panel watched the entire 1st trial????

    If one believes one is in the process of being killed, one is defending oneself. Children of those parents will not be beacons of calm and reason and is unreasonable to think they would be.

    Who do they think the TikTok generation is? I’m on TikTok and I’m older than 2 of the people on this panel. The dismissive assertion TikTok is the ONLY source of information people have is a lazy cop out, in my opinion. They clearly haven’t done their homework and don’t have intelligent counter-arguments, but still want to make a good sound bite. Yes, I’ve seen stuff on TikTok. I’ve also watched substantial portions of the first trial (it’s all on court tv), read books and legal filings, watched documentaries, heard interviews with legal experts, etc. Find better people to interview. These people have nothing of substance to offer. No one is asking to retry the case. Had anyone on the panel done even 10 seconds of research before coming on the show, they would know that.

Count yourself lucky, but then open a book and read case files of people who have been severely abused. Most kids never tell, many adults never leave. It's so common it's a normal psychological response.
