So Mat did an Q&A at Oxford University union and apparently this was the first time they realised how popular horrible histories was. They had viewing figures but didn't know if they had fans. They turned up to the proms hours before to a crowd of people and was mobbed by fans. not knowing how much this show meant to so many people. They are national treasures.
Sometimes I wonder if, when Jim was at school, his music teachers who all praised him for his amazing voice knew that he would not put it to use by gaining a number 1, but rather by telling a bunch of kids that George IV was fat.
He loves what he does...He doesn't go as big here as he does in the original, maybe because he has to save his voice...He is also a good drummer and bass guitar player. He also plays Richard III..which is gorgeous

They made a mistake in the original version. George I had died of a stroke not diarrhea, and while George II was found in a collapsed state on his toilet - or whatever they used then - he didn't actually die on it.
