This update is actually pretty easy once you learn the new priorities.
Economic cycle no longer impact tax income, so they won't create huge deficits and death spirals. Instead they affect productivity growth, which is more of a long term consideration. Also the events have a much lower chance of actually lowering your economic cycle, so the RNG is more forgiving. I know raging incoherently is your niche, but it's really not out to get you.
Productivity unlocks some pretty insane economic growth if you focus on stacking those techs. It rewards long term investment in tech, education, and economic cycles.
Power is also pretty easy to manage and if you can run the higher consumption rates, that's 20% more corporate tax income basically for free.

Treating Millennium Dawn as it's own game that is a hybrid of Victoria 3's economics and HOI 4's military is how it supposed to be played, since that is what the dev team is going for
