Hi Mike: In addition to the metric wrenches/socket set, I would also suggest a couple of JIS [Japanese Industrial Standard] screwdrivers. I have been working on Japanese bikes for a few (Like 40+) years and found that the JIS drivers, although very similar to a Phillips [crosshead] , have a slightly different angulation at the head and this means far fewer butcher jobs on tight screws. Love the work you do and am thankful for no pounding music in the background.....
I took off my throtle cable "needle" and placed it back in but for some reason when i start the bike it just keeps accelerating. Any idea of what it could be? A friend of mine told me the needle is installed wrong but i tried it over and over and still the same thing.
Any recommendations on how to go about getting a new key for a c70? Heard that Honda doesn't make the ignition anymore so I'm looking for other options
Hello can you help me out mate, I'm just putting finishing touches to my 1979 C70. my question is does the throttle cable drop down the frame same route as the speedo cable, I can't remember from when I stripped it for painting. I put it back together that way & it seems like it's not going to be long enough to reach the carb. just can't suss out how to route it. any help would be great. Tar
@@Hugojahman Great Steve, I was just looking back over the first video to see if I could tell as I couldn't remember. Glad it worked out ok! Here's the video I was looking at if it helps, but it's not very clear. Cheers, Mike. th-cam.com/video/EzB2t-qTGHM/w-d-xo.html
Right here ( th-cam.com/video/Al-Z4jJPIUM/w-d-xo.html ) you show what looks like a filter but my 82 C70 doesn't have one and I don't see it on the schematic for my carb on Bike Bandit. Is that a fuel filter and if so, where can I get one? Great videos, by the way!

Thank you very much David. Yes, I like the peace and quiet (and smells) of the garage! They are enough for me 😊 best wishes, Mike
After releasing the throttle cable I still can't figure out how to get the spring out. Did I miss something or can you explain further?
My father use to refer to the adjustable wrench as the "metric wrench". Lol.
