100% true over the past 10 games now. Though, the truly impressive part is that he’s had 15+ pts in 3 straight games now on top of playing that great defense, efficient 3pt shooting, and working his ass off on the court 👌
cavs are way hot so i wouldn't count on it tbh, but maybe if warriors put up a good fight the fact that were the second on a back to back gives us a better chance
He got embarrassed by the Pistons. And he bounced back. And too many people think Lavine would be a better fit. They forget this kid took a hall of famer’s spot on the court.
Our team ain’t that bad we don’t need to trade the whole team to get better all we need is Atleast 2 centers that can give AD a break bro like bring back javale and trade for jonas we would be alright
Whoever believes in JJ reddick, as in whichever team (including my lakers) if they fully commit to him as gsw did with Steve Kerr, I truly believe he’s the next “great” coach to bring championships
I know my boy AR has been shining more and more, but the best thing about these last games is seeing Max develop. Inserting him in the starting lineup has helped him a lot. Let's keep this going, Lakeshow 💜💛
@MRHIMDOWNSTAIRS12 His ball handling can improve but in reality, it's enough cuz he has an explosive 1st step to get past the defender. No need to be flashy if you can cross over with an explosive 1st step. It would help elevate him tho
@@PayAttExcavs will be hot all season so lakers have to prove they can beat a championship contender. I refuse to not expect the lakers to win this game if I really see them as championship contenders
All real laker fans know the other players play well the lakers are a tough team. Great trade! Need Jaxson to play better too. One trade for a big man then the lakers are fine! So proud of Max!
Gabe & Max plus to an extent Reddish play a big part in the teams defense.. Lakers still need a Big for the playoffs but the team as a unit are gradually showing what JJ recommended.. he said Boston won its championship 🏆 by being solid in defense & extremely hot 🔥 beyond the arc (3p).. Lakers are currently playing better defense.. but is their 3p form legit ?
I watched the highlights of the game and was mildly impressed. Wasn't too sure how the team would work without Lebron on the court. But I have to say, they actually seemed to play better in his absence. Don't get me wrong, Lebron is still one of the top 10 players in the league (even with all his haters) but this version of the Lakers seemed to play more as a well oiled team, then a team full of individuals. Back court cuts, tenacious d and opportunistic 3 point shooting made this victory almost a fait accompli. However, I do hold this victory with a grain of salt. Sacremento is hardly a contender for anything right now. Especially after firing their HC just a few days ago. I also am weary that aside from AD< the Lakers are EXTREMELY thin at the 5. Meaning any team they face with even a marked center rotation can bully the Lakeshow by simply tiring AD out and leaving the team helpless against further incursions close to the basket. Add to that AD's long history of nagging lower legf injuries and an 86 game grind (and his frequent sprained ankles) could derail any Lakers run to the post season. However, all in all, IO still look at this team as one on the upswonmg. WIth the meteoric growth o players like Austin Reeves, Max Christie and Daulton Kenecht the Lakers have a formidable back court for years to come. Rui has elevated his game steadily since coming to the Left Coast and the two Mega Stars seem to have what it takes to guide the younglings into the future. So while I have some doubts still about this team , I also have a lot of optimism for things to come.
They have to play the same way with lebron, letting austin run the point and playing great defense and not turning the ball over, playing like that they can beat anyone... just lock down
Yes they need a trade. They need a difference maker against the better teams. Melo Ball please please please!!! He need to be home in a big market!!! The game is too easy for him.
Big lebron fan but honestly would love to see him in a second/third option off ball role in this system, focus more energy on defense, if he has it going let em take over but why force it i dont think he needs to be #1
Yep, was looking for this comment. They are 2-1 without him this season, no? Their offense looked putrid in those first 2 games. I think LeBron could benefit from a reduced role but this team isn't going anywhere in the playoffs without his playmaking unless Reaves is going to do that every night.

Max is making a big difference. His effect does not show up on the scoreboard.

I’m really happy cuz max is balling rn
Cam Reddish playing good defense
Happy af for Max. Favourite Laker.
Fr Max Crispy actually balling out, sucks that some people only look at the box score
this team is hella fun to watch rn beating the cavs will make us contenders again
cavs are way hot so i wouldn't count on it tbh, but maybe if warriors put up a good fight the fact that were the second on a back to back gives us a better chance
it’s really helped to catch two teams, the Kings and the Warriors who are falling apart.
Max 3+D work, Austin at PG & Reddish/Gabe defense off the bench. All Really impressed me lately.
Reaves been looking different like he unlocked a new gear
It's the headband
@@hademo8737I was bout to say thatlol
i think they told him to put a headband on bc he’s always fixing his hair during the game that will actually effect how he plays
He got embarrassed by the Pistons. And he bounced back. And too many people think Lavine would be a better fit. They forget this kid took a hall of famer’s spot on the court.
It’s the new accessories lol
It would be a shame if we develop another draft pick only to trade him away to become a rotational player for another team
Lakers are in a "win now' mode.
Our team ain’t that bad we don’t need to trade the whole team to get better all we need is Atleast 2 centers that can give AD a break bro like bring back javale and trade for jonas we would be alright
@@aaronscott3667 Jonas is statistally the worst defensive centers in the league.... I don't think you know what you're asking for
Im impressed with the defense of Christie/ Vincent/ Reddish and Rui is fucking dope
So funny how the biggest impact to winning sometimes falls outside the stat chat. Way to go Max Christie!!
Sabonis used to be Davis' daddy but AD has schooled him this season, like crazy 🤣
Hopefully he has the carjones to do this to Giannis and Joker too cos man, those guys have fathered Davis in recent memory 🤮
Folks was saying darvin never lost to the pistons WELL JJ HAVENT LOST TO THE KINGS WHO OWNED US FOR YEARS 4-0 LakeShow
That’s great. But the Kings are literally falling apart.
Whoever believes in JJ reddick, as in whichever team (including my lakers) if they fully commit to him as gsw did with Steve Kerr, I truly believe he’s the next “great” coach to bring championships
Lebron with a 4 day rest, the lakers WILL TAKE THAT! Hopefully it’s a w against the cavs
His b day Monday he bout to turn up lol
Hoping DFS isn’t taking Christie’s minutes. Maybe they’ll run AR, Christie, DFS, Bron & AD lineups
DFS can definitely start in that lineup
This team can play good basketball. Good to see.
indeed they do, without Lebron, especially on defense.
@@willwon8962lakers win one game without LeBron and all of a sudden they are better without him?😂😂😂
@@bfns2353 Lebron doesn't play defense so Lakers are 4 on 5 when he's out there on the court. Of course, Lakers are better without him.
Rui 🎯

Let's see their identity against the CAVS.
Max has went from salary filler to an absolute keeper in a month
If Austin reaves work on his turn overs ! He can grow to be our main point guard ! And that will open up space for a better starting line up
He needs to work on his ball handling as well
Lebron has more TOs than Austin tho. 😂😂
@MRHIMDOWNSTAIRS12 His ball handling can improve but in reality, it's enough cuz he has an explosive 1st step to get past the defender. No need to be flashy if you can cross over with an explosive 1st step. It would help elevate him tho

i will trade vando wood jhs maxwell lewis and dlo
Well the last 2 guys are gone now lol.
i dont want to hear the austin isnt good enough to play starting pg in the nba argument ever again
Dlo has been traded for dfs and shake Milton interested to see what other trade for a big palinka might do
Real test comes with the Cavaliers next game
Let's be real here unless LeBron comes in real fresh the Cavs will destroy us.

How you feel about Lakers trading DLO for Dorian Finney-Smith?
They have to play the same way with lebron, letting austin run the point and playing great defense and not turning the ball over, playing like that they can beat anyone... just lock down
If max remains in the starting lineup y’all think he can make the all defense team?
Hope this Fox BS dies with this game.. AR is going to be a Laker even after James is done..
Do we need a trade??
Yes, this level of play is not sustainable. This was a great win without lebron though.
Yes
We need a true center and a good wing defender
Need a good big to help AD so yes look for good trades

Finally dlo got traded thank the lord
Dlo got traded
Move Rui to the bench and trade for a legit 3/D guy
And no bronny!

yall cant be real people😂 stop talking basketball
All these wins are good but the team ain’t winning a chip if they don’t make moves.
We don’t need Lebron !! He plays no defense
..And AR does?
yet it’s always players like AR, Rui and DLo getting hunted on defense😂 just say you don’t watch Laker games clown
