I hope you will continue on the right path of veganism, for health, the animals, and the planet. I am nearly 69 yrs and have been vegan for ethical reasons for the past 12 and have been very fit and healthy. My immune system is stronger and all the health issues i previously had for decades all went away within weeks of me going vegan. You have done the right and moral thing and if you are getting all the nutrients your body needs then you will reap the benefits of that too.
@@adelarsen9776 Antivegans have consistantly moved the goal post since I went vegan. First they said "veganism can't be done" Then I went vegan. Then they said "you will be deficient in a couple of years" So I did bloodwork, which came back fine. Then they said "You can't get enough protein on a vegan diet" So I tracked my macros and came out with 140 grams of protein/day without trying. Then they said "The protein in plants is inferior and you can't build muscle on it" So I worked out for about 8 months and increased my strength and my body weight went up 8 kilos. Then they said to "veganism can't be done longterm" So I asked them to specify longterm. Now, after having been vegan for 8 years, they say "not all people can be vegan, and most people quit veganism". And I personally know about 15 vegans or so, and not a single one is unhealthy or ex-vegan.

Ms Goodall is such an accomplished woman and I greatly admire her wisdom. She has such compassion for animals and must be horrified at how CoVid 19 started. It's easy being a veggie/vegan. Give it a try xx even if you lapse and try again later. There are some great alternatives. 😊
I agree that she would be concerned with how Covid 19 started. Going Vegan is easier than people give it credit. There are so many alternatives now a days to make it easier.
It is important to remember that we do things first for our own selves and therefore it is important for a person to realise that they are making a difference when they stop eating animals, its Positive Karma.
I completely agree, being vegan is the single most thing that helps me with my morales and values. Can’t sit back and know what goes in a slaughter house with a good conscious. Great comment!!
There are a lot of negative comments ( dare I say sanctimonious ) regarding the fact that Jane Goodall is vegetarian and not vegan. Well , as a vegan of 25 years or so, I am happy that she is spreading the idea of animals are sentient beings. Maybe one day she will realize that she can do so much more for the animals and the planet by becoming vegan , I was a vegetarian for about 30 years before transitioning to vegan. When Jane and I were young women there wasn’t the awareness of veganism that there is now. I think we should be encouraging and not negative, after all, veganism is about kindness and compassion to all beings.😊. ( That being said I dislike the dishonest title to this video).
I’d like to fix an error she said: methane is not 8 times more powerful than CO2 in heating the planet. It’s 130 times more, but it converts to CO2 in about 12.4 years. This means that to compare it to CO2 we have to average the greenhouse potential over a number of years. Over 20 years, it’s about 86 times more, over 100 years, about 24 times.
@@ariendb It really is indeed. I was so much hoping her to say it. I didn't hear. Why is this video called like that... veganism, where is veganism here...
I'm wondering if she is using the word "vegetarian" because years ago vegetarian was 100% plant-based. Back in the day people thought vegans were militant anarchist activists. She does mention that we should think about what we wear which leads me to believe she doesn't wear/use animal skins etc.
@@ariendb That's right. It was the egg/dairy Industry that campaigned to get dairy and eggs into the vegetarian diet siting that it was needed for protein and calcium. I stopped watching it as soon as I saw the comments that she’s not vegan. You tricked us with the title. But now when someone does this, I’ll work out if it’s a lie and not continue watching it. Very sad she’s not vegan and doesn’t apply her so called beliefs to all animals 😢 and the abuse that goes on with their byproducts. 😔
Yes. Since going clean strict carnivore I have gotten healthy and strong. All my blood markers are optimal and I feel great. All these vegans are kidding themselves. Veganism is a death cult whose deluded disciples mortgage their health for an ideology. 7 days without beef makes one weak.
We don't cherry pick one thing that animals do in nature while not mimicking all the other horrible things they do to justify that action when working towards a truly civilised society. This is a nature fallacy and illogical reasoning to base our world view on.

@@ruthsmith1694 I agree. There is a dwindling number of truly ignorant people out there who really need to hear about what animals go through. The growing majority of people, like the transparently foolish OP in this thread, are fully aware what animals suffer, but simply don't care, and will never care. They will even go one step further and promote animal exploitation online and flaunt their selfish lifestyles. The difficulty is we are in a narcissistic world of people who only think of satisfying themselves, on a wasteful and destructive diet and lifestyle that they don't even need.
This is a great video, but it does seem to present many ethical problems as equal.
