Well, for me. I went to Germany and when I got there they said they didn't have any orders and didn't know who I was. So, they decided to input my information and toss me in a Maintenance Unit ( I was Recon) who then said, "What the F&ck?" and said, "stick him in supply" where upon getting down there I found another Recon fresh soldier who had the very same thing happen to him. Literally, I was told I could have gone back home and nobody would have realized anything until maybe it was time for me to ETS out of the service. After around a year, the Battalion Commander heard of my story (because I was being sent to do the overnight duty shit nearly every single day) and was like, "WTF?" Then about a month in a half later some Platoon Sergeant shows up and says, "Well, we found you," and took me to where I should have gone in the first place. That was what happened after Army AIT for me.
Yooooo if you go to Destroyer 2-15 don’t be surprised if half of y’all end up recycling. Luckily I wasn’t one of them but man they fuck us up over there buh the training is worth it. And honestly overall a good experience

Please be aware, that you need to notify your bank. withdrawals and Card use in a new area is a Red flag for a Bank. My Son went to Germany straight out of OSUT. It took days to get everything in order.

Damari Brackett as of now, it depends. When the corona virus started, they didn’t let anyone leave. We were holdovers. Then, after a while, they let us go to nearby bases. Right now, a few of my buddies will go to South Korea, so it’s happening slowly. However, to answer your question as if the virus wasn’t around, you all get sent immediately after graduating. If there’s anything that will restrict that, then it’ll happen.

@@juanvaughn9235 well you’ll set up stuff with DEERS and your family should be on your orders along with household goods unless you want to take your ten day leave after to go back home and travel with them. My wife came from hawaii so it worked a little different. But you can have the government buy your family a ticket if you want or go back and get them yourself. Once you get to your unit, you will arrange travel for them

You need to first start by simple jobs there, and if u decide to join the army how long does it take, should I do the 15 - 20 dollars per an hour or they just go straight for the army stuff. Because If I want to start with like simple jobs well that's how I call it. I need a home too. And I need to know how much money I need to carry with myself there. So is It gonna be a long process to get there and start the basic training or ... Tnx.

@@Liaxlifts hey lia, so what I gathered is unlike single soldiers in most situations if you have a family they will give you sort of a 10 day grace period they can give between 10-30 days depending on situations and units for your soldier to return home and help to get things in order for the move if you haven’t found a place within that time frame and the soldier has a report date the military will house you in either a hotel or some sort of housing until you able to find a apartment or house etc, the leave that they use if they don’t have any earned will just go in the hole so any leave that they earn after will go towards the leave debt until they are at a positive balance.

A lot of people go into the Army and quickly discover their relationships are not going to survive military life. You should be active duty for a minimum of a year before you get married. If your relationship isn't going to survive that it definitely isn't going to make it through a deployment.
11x is an infantry candidate. After processing you will be assigned a battalion on sandhill and only 1 of them makes 11c every other battalion makes bravos. Unless they tell you otherwise your a bravo

So when I signed my contract and picked my MOS 11x, they told me I’ll be stationed in Germany as my first unit. Is that always accurate?

My boyfriend needed to weigh 125 pounds to go to basic. If he falls under that weight at basic will he be sent home?
Not really
They will most likely give him double rations during basic. As long as he hits his minimum weight at maps, he will be good to go

They can be stationed anywhere and everywhere you’ll train at Leonardwood but normally any duty station with a combat unit
