I bought the PSVR2 during the sale and tried GT7 and I now have an stunning theme park attraction in my home. It's amazing and I love it. I still play pancake games but I love how special VR is and it's a great addition to my gaming hobby.
@ILoveUEVR I didn't mean it in a literal but the fact you are in a fully realized world and experience exciting stuff like in a good theme park. Horizon and GT7 really do that for me.
Yeah the hate is definitely real. I don't think Sony has abandoned PSVR 2, I just wish there was some indication they were still supporting it with first-party games. Or at least they should talk publicly about the financial support they're putting into third-party VR games. I don't really care about hand-tracking, but the fact that it exists (along with the new reprojection type offered by GT7 on PS5 Pro) is an indication that they still have some in-house resources dedicated to its improvement, and that's a good thing.
I appreciate the context in this video showing that yes, the psvr2 is a supported and powerful headset very capable of cornering the market on high end vr. The ease of use is something many people forget about. Setting up a pcvr headset similar specs to the psvr2 is SUCH A HASSLE and never makes me feel like " Yeah I want to play more" PSVR2 is a massive step up for people with mid range pcs that cant run even cheap vr headsets at good quality.
I own several PCVR heads, Quest 3, Quest 2, and PSVR2. And I absolutely agree that setting up and using the PSVR2 is absolutely the best experience of all of them by far in terms of being well polished and trouble free. I have PCVR headsets that are considerably more powerful than the PSVR2, but the user experience of getting them setup and working is far less polished and more technically savvy enthusiast oriented. Even the Quest 3 is pretty clunky and less polished by comparison.
This is great news but having astro bots not being VR was mistake. That game won game of the year and would gave been the killer holiday game for the psvr2.
Maybe they plan on making a separate vr game specifically with the psvr2 in mind? And now hearing about hand tracking being a possible feature for the headset… well you never know I guess.
VR is the next dimension of Pro gaming. Once flat screen graphics will peak, the extra difference will be audio and video immersion. The other trend is and will be portability/streaming, especially for more casual gaming.
In about 10 years we should see this with the greater popularization of eye tracking to use foveated rendering in games, in addition to options like FSR, frame generator and the like supporting VR on all platforms.
Once PS6 lands in 2029-ish, we'll be hitting diminishing returns. Having been gaming since the late 80's, i find modern flat screen gaming kind of stale in most cases. VR & MR is the only place where you can get stereoscopic 3D(An evolution of the 3DS), best in-class motion controls 'with' a reference(An evolution of the Wii remote Plus & Nunchuck), Zero motion blur with Quest 3(Unlike the OLED TV's of today).... Plus, A size adjustable 3D/2D straight or curved screen, pitting the player in first person VR, 3rd person, over head, you name it. So much untapped potential and room for growth unlike with consoles. Gaming on a flat/plancake 65" QD-OLED isn't impressive in the slightest. Motion clarity sucks too to the motion blur-free CRT's of the 80's, 90's and early to mid 2000's. TV's have gone backwards in that area. The last combination of consoles/handhelds that I went hard on in my 20's were the DSLite, Wii + VirtualConsole + WiiWare and the first year or so of the launch 3DS. All 3 offered unique and innovative ways to experience gaming. I had an absolute blast with all three. But with flat screen gaming these days, with Switch & PS5? MEH. I'm more into the retro/faux retro stuff if anything. Blazing Chrome, Mega Man 11, Curse of the Moon, just to name a few. VR & MR are the only two platforms with actual wow factor IMO.
@NintenPizza probably in the future we will have televisions and monitors with a very impressive 3D effect, the technology is just starting out so in 20 to 30 years it should be very popular, I'm looking forward to the cheapening of Micro-OLED screens and pancake lenses, if both become the standard along with the highest graphic quality in games it will be excellent.
@@nerddeku9675 As of now, TV manufactures need to work on OLED TV motion clarity, because as is, it's crap without good black frame insertion. And you're not going to get good BFI without a premium scaler like retrotink4K. Even then, it doubles input lag, but you do get a 50% motion blur reduction. :P
Ok, the guy who took over for Ryan is a huge VR proponent within Sony. They just announced a partnership with Seimens to do industrial AR. They put out a PC adapter. They did a massive sale and announced two first-party titles in development. They just released a commercial for the hardware. All of this before this new hand-tracking announcement. People really think Sony is abandoning VR?!?🙃😂
To add some extra content to this video I read an article that supposedly Apple is talking to sony about integrating sony’s sense controllers to the apple vision pro. What that means (if it’s true) is that finally Sony will sell sense controllers separately! That’s been my biggest complaint against PSVR2! So hope that’s something that comes to fruition!
I want a revision of PSVR2, with pancake lenses, and the option to play wireless. After playing Quest 3, which has a huge sweetspot, and sharp image, from edge to edge, and no mura, it's hard to go back to PSVR2. And the cable is annoying, when turning around during fast action. So if those two things would be added to a new revision, it would be perfect.
Nailed it. PSVR2 is awesome. The best change I made was switching from PC gaming to console. For me it's ease of use and separation. My studio is now for production, work and study only. And being time-poor I know I can press a button and play a game in less than a minute.
You... Switched from a gaming PC to a console. Why. You can "press a button and play a game in less than a minute" with a PC also lol. Have fun paying for online!
@Frowggy PC was a distraction. When I boot up, I think, "I'll just check my inbox," "I'll quickly do this," etc. Plus, it's not in the most leisurely room. So, instead of my usual upgrade, I bought a Chromebook for study, a NUC for production and work, and a PS5 (with PSVR2) for gaming. You gotta keep 'em separated!
Im pretty sure a lot of Metas marketing budgets go to paying media sources to talk bad about the PSVR2. I hadn't read good things about it, but the personal reviews convinced me to try it even though I had a heavy expectation I would return it. Ive played my PSVR2 more than I ever played my PS5.
I agree with this video. I own both a PSVR2 and a Quest 3. I still play far more games on the PSVR2 than the Quest. The Quest 3 is a great headset and having no cable is nice, but the colors, eye tracking, wider field of vision, and haptic feedback on the PSVR2 make games more immersive. The headset is lighter so it is better for workout games like Les Mills BODYCOMBAT. I got the PS5 Pro on release day and am blown away with how good No Man's Sky and Gran Turismo 7 now look with the Pro enhancements. When a new game comes out on both platforms, I tend to buy the PSVR2 one. (OK. I will admit that I am a Sony fan and own two Sony Bravia TV's.) The Quest 3 is cool for VR Chat, map programs and watching TH-cam or TH-cam TV in bed or when I travel. For anyone who owns a PS5 and wants to get into VR, the PSVR2 is the better choice. The recent sale price of $350 was a steal.
Just bought a VR2 with Horizon . Scared the hell outta me (new to VR) to the point the first hour or so all I wanted to do was look around . The only thing I didn’t care for was the cord attached to…
The reason mainstream media are saying this is that Sony isn't making any first party VR games by my knowledge. They haven't shown anything significant since Horizon and GT7 after launch, by my knowledge. People at Playstation still working to improve the PSVR2 is cool but that doesn't show anywhere near the (financial) commitment, that making full scale games does. I think VR is reallyu cool and I actually just bought a PSVR2 in the recent sale but I honestly believe it's kind of dead as far as Sony's support goes. Calling this misinformation, as if intentional, is absolutely crazy in my opinion. It's just logic.
Fanboys don't use logic man. Im right with ya. Anyone who says sony supports vr2 while NOT making astro bot 2 for it has lost their mind. Psvr1 game was a vr GOTY.... and the sequel isnt in vr? Hahahaha come on now logic is key & unfortunately many today are without it.
@@tasseiviews2947 I don't see how people are like "best decision I ever made". It's really not. Your best decision would've been to buy a gaming pc then get like the quest 3s to go with it. In all honesty, consoles suck.
@Frowggy Ok, now that sounds like a bad decision to me. Pc's are just a hassle when it comes to gaming and overly expensive in general, IMO. Quest is from Meta, facebook basically, you know, that not so morally sound company. Quest needs a meta account from what I understand. You want them to have all kinds of physiological data on you?
@@tasseiviews2947 Ok first, I'm agreeing with this original post here. Second, owning a PC myself has actually been pretty easy. It's not much of a hassle at all. The main thing that made me go with PCs was 1. Free online. And 2. Actually building it. I wouldn't say they are more expensive, I could build someone a good PC for 500 dollars or build them a good one that can last many, many years. That's my take on it. Edit: yes I think quest does need a meta account but I don't think you need it to hook it up with your PC.
@Frowggy Thank you for agreeing but just to be sure, I'm only saying that it's logical to conclude that PSVR2 is 'dead'. Not that it IS dead, as in we don't know for 100% sure and definitely not that I think consoles or console VR are bad. Sure, if you like PC's it's fine, if you like building them it's great of course even. I just mean that I never feel sure how well a game is going to run. Frame pacing issues, stutter struggle, weirdly heavy graphics settings, V-sync issues (although there's VRR nowadays)... The potential obstacles to an easy boot up and play are legion. A long time ago I built a beefy rig, my dream pc basically. Some games ran amazing, some looked amazing. However some games didn't run nearly as well as I expected, considering how powerful it was and especially how much money I put in to it. Simply put, deep down, I had just lost all passion for ever building a powerful gaming PC again. To me that just represents the harsh truth of what my PC experience was like. I couldn't buy, let alone build, a PC for $500 that's remotely comparable to a PS5 or Series X in effective performance. $800 at the very, very least and I doubt it would be on par in terms of SSD and memory speed (or even graphics).
On top of this now apparently from trusted sources apple and sony have made an agreement to use the dual sense controllers with apple’s headset as well which will also show players to buy spare controllers
a few days ago I finally got a PSVR2 and yes is very amazing experience specially GT7, today I just bought Drum Rock, played demo and holy hell freaking love it!!, and also today I saw there is going to be a Metallica song pack for beat saber , and I was holy hell!!!, yeah Im a fan of Metallica , so what, so what! :D
I will believe it when i see sense controllers in the store. For anyone considering buying a psvr2 be aware that if something bad happens to your controllers you won't be able to buy new ones, rendering the dang thing unplayable except for a few games that support the dualsense, gt7 being the only one i know of.
Interesting take on the implications of developing hand tracking for psvr2. I mean, it would need to be better hand tracking than quest3's (which is frustrating at best). It does mean that Sony has more feature parity with headsets like vision pro. Which is maybe why they are also working with apple to get sense controllers working with vision pro. Maybe we might see a refresh of psvr2 (psvr2.5?) with colour pass through next?
if sony would support the older VR titles RES village REs 4 but why not Res 7 that has a PS5 Gold Edition and ace combat 7 and Star wars vr need PSVR2 updates
There seems to be too many Meta ‘ambassadors’ out there. They say they love all VR, but they always favour meta or will say how incredibly close a game on quest is versus PSVR2. Don’t get me wrong, for a mobile device Quest3 is remarkable and great for multimedia purposes. Sony have ignored this aspect in favour of gaming though and just check out their top games like GT7, RE4, RE8, NMS, COTM etc. There is no comparison. Both can now be used for PCVR so that is moot.
@@GhastlyB HUGE comparison actually. Psvr 2 is the same (if not higher) price of quest 3s. Both can hook up to PC (according to you). So they should have the same features right? Then tell me, where is psvr's mixed reality? Case closed
@@niklasfritzell6465 Actually the guy who tried PSVR2's hand-tracking has stated that unlike what you saw on the TV, there is no latency in the headset. He also stated that it’s better than any other VR headset including quest 3.
I was put off on the original price of PSVR2 and decided to wait till it goes on sale… and now it is so I just bought one for $349 at Amazon. Better get one now before the sale ends. 🎉
Honestly, I just want people to get any VR setup they can. it is worth it. I am a PC VR player I have a Quest 3. But I never cared if someone chose another path. Sony has high-quality control for their games. You can use it to get in shape and learn things as well as games.
The oled screen is the best thing about psvr2. Controller haptics are nice also. But the rest isn't even utilized because Sony doesn't lead the way & make software that shows off eye tracking, foviated rendering, or head rumble features. Very few game devs do as their largest selling markets are elsewhere & headsets dont have those features. Sony is the biggest enemy of its own psvr2 hardware & its crazy.
You showed 2 of my favorite games. Synapse and Light Brigade. Also i just watched a guy praising VR2 because of metro and synapse and light brigade but 7mo ago he was that guy pushing Sonys VR2 is dead dead and to go with another headset and i called him out for it. He said, "Oh yeah, they needed more support and a cheaper price." My man you said it was dead and Sony isnt supporting it anymore.
I want Sony to moke more VR2 games more demo's more games like from Skydance Sony needs to acknowledge and support this new surge wave they need the pr
I just purchased the PS5 pro to enhance my PSVR2 experience, and boy it's incredible. No Man's Sky and GT7 are mind-blowing in VR. Can't wait to get the new Aliens game for VR also.
@oakie007 In GT7 there is no more ghosting of objects outside the car and the movement of everything around the car now feels like 60fps instead of 30fps on the regular PS5. Also all graphics look higher resolution. Even the home screen in GT7 instantly looked sharper on the pro. With No Man's Sky, the resolution looks sharper on everything. Also, much less pop in when flying over planets. Also, better frame rate when flying over planets. Everything looks smoother and more pleasing. If you're into VR, the pro is a must in my opinion. The future of VR is looking very bright now and No Man's Sky in VR is simply mind blowing. There is still some anti aliasing in NMS on the pro, but overall, it's a far better experience. God I hope the NMS team updates the VR side of the game and makes it even better than it already is.
I hope they keep making software improvements like this, maybe one day that PlayStation home thing makes it into this kinda like a friends hub type thing
I don't think it's that most people hate on psvr2. Is just a bad bandwagoning, and lack of critical thinking . Environmental politics and silicone valley modern companies has tainted peoples perception of what it means to run a company. So the most fundamental ideas of companies need to make money, and not telling your strategies to the public is suddenly no longer something people take for consideration. So they blindly just slander the biggest gaming company in the world which clearly knows how to run a business unlike most people criticizing Sony. Tldr; people are too loud and too dumb
If only Sony made The VR game like Stellar Blade and Black Myth Wukong one that makes all gamers exited and journalists could rage as much or more like President Trump Sonys one VR game that puts others to shame
Yea sorry but it's been nearly 2 years and all sony have done is showcase a hand tracking feature. How does that prove anything? They still haven't made any games for it, if it wasn't for 3rd party devs making games for it, it would already be dead. Sony have done nothing with it, they have shown more intrest in other platforms than they have their own by making the pc adapter and now working on controllers for the apple Pro. All sony wana do is push hardware now days. while I still agree the headset is great and has some great 3rd party games, sony need to do more for their own player base, we want separate controllers, we've only been asking since the thing launched, and we want sony 1st party IPs. What's the point in buying the psvr2 over any other headset when all the games are avaliable everywhere else plus exclusives that we cant get on psvr2? When people say psvr2 has no games, what they actually mean is psvr2 has no PlayStation games. They are all available on quest n pc besides horizon gt7 and reaident evil. They need more exclusive PlayStation studios games that PlayStation fans actually want to play. The average age of the majority of PlayStation owners are not kids anymore, it's people I their 30s n 40s, n they don't wana dance or play hide n seek in amoung us vr. I think we should be demanding better, not celebrating and praising sony for flicking us a crumb from the banquet table.
Totally agree with everything you've said. TH-cam's always making propaganda videos whenever they see big sales numbers. Not trying to figure out why, but to justify his own obsession with psvr2. Its the holiday season, and scalpers are buying them too. Look at what happened to the sales of the ps5 pro, higher than expected for most gamers. Again, its scalpers that Sony loves to show the number of sales on. I don't see why the psvr2 just gets a permanent price cut, they aren't selling for higher priced. Gets me wondering how Sony is recouping thee loses on its major flops, it isn't anything to do with psvr2, for sure.
I personally think that what we are seeing is stuff they HAD worked on and don't want it to be a total waste.... might have even promised some publishers some type of support.... I have one.. wish it wasn't so but the question had to be, where are first party games? That tells the tale to me.
I found a lot of people complaining that the FOV changes not long after using and there’s no way of reverting back, is this still and issue on the PSVR2?
I got PSVR2 in February of 2024, and I have played every single night since. I even got the PC adapter to use with my moderately powerful gaming PC... but honestly its kind of a pain in the ass to get setup. Id rather just turn on the PS5 and put the headset on. Way easier. (tho half life alyx is so good)
I'm a happy new owner of a PSVR2 but I'm still suffering from motion sickness with Synapse. Could anyone recommend me a good game to increase my resistance to this problem?
@@IvanSantanaEu Hey there! Welcome to the family! I made a video on this a while back, check it out: th-cam.com/video/CpO9_HwHBr4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=B5VL763nwAjjaNco
To be honest VR headset biggest flaw was the price originally but with it being 350 now it’s actually justifiable. I got a PS five if you want to do 4K gaming even if someone comes and say that’s not true 4K who cares what they say it’s amazing experience for that price Plus it’s not like Sony band. We’re still getting mad games from the VR side now we still need backward compatibility with PS1 VR, but besides that it’s pretty good also do any VR games on the PC platform even support the PSV or two features when that whole controversy happened Where the PC version didn’t support any of that Also, they expect Sony to have like 20 different games in the development for the PS VR one VR still a niece genre hasn’t meta-quest in total so like what 10 million or 20 that’s like the most successful like that’s like the PS2 for VR plus Sony got to pay attention to their consoles first
@@nothingbutgaming1996 what games you recommend? I feel like beat saber and Tetris are gonna be great starters but if I want the full experience, what’s best!?
Quest 3 has had hand tracking for ages. I like my PSVR2 on Playstation but it;'s not very good on PC. I prefer my Quest 3 on PC. But they are both great headsets. Quest 3 has way more functionality for me though. I can take it over my sisters and just play Batman and behemoth or Metro with my nephew with no PC or console. And If I want better graphics. (slightly better ) I go home and plug it in my PC. The PSVR2 is just good on the PS5 slim I just bought. It's not the best headset on PC mate. Best headset on Playstation.
Well, they may as well sell a set of stickers to have them plastered all around the headset but this doesn't really mean anything for those who wait for new exclusive games (so well optimized actually using the features in a smart way that so far mainly collect dust). Gimicks that won't be used for anything more than a few tech-demoy games aren't really a big deal, and not what the majority of people would likely want to see :/.
The main selling point features of psvr2 aren't even utilized by most games as they're ports from quest & pcvr headsets that dont have the features. This is why its instrumental that Sony would make games that do utilize them & inspire a reason for people to buy the headset which in return would inspire devs to utilize the features & as a whole advance vr gaming. Instead, sony chooses to make an advanced headset & waste its potential.
If psvr 2 hadnt followed the quest and deleted buttons from the motion controller could you imagine??? At the end of the day the thing holding vr down from mainstream is deleting buttons from the motion controller and making video game interactions "Tedious Only" Vr is supposed to be synonymous with accessible, not tedium. Meanwhile an echo chamber pushes this "i might as well play flat if your pressing butt0na to reload, because vr has to be equal footing. Its a competition. Maybe hmd isnt for you if you dont want to twist door handles and reload guns." So you all hype up game content that wouldn't get a 2nd thought in the flat gaming world. Like did anyone buy a resident evil game based on how it opens doors before vr came along? Did you notice they managed to make doors open by just walking into them still, even for vr? Thats why i actually played through that one in vr about 5 times now.. If they forced the gimmick, I'd have dropped it. Before getting through it once. Because ive yet to play a vr only door handle twister that doesnt come off as complete jank. Same for moat wvwry other forced motion interaction outaide of aiming with One hand. Cause i aint buying a damb tube. Far as im concerned bulletstorm VR is the only damn game that didnt drag itself down on behalf of trying to make it tedious to play it with my hmd. What drags that game down is function bindes to the thinbstick that shouldnt be. Because lack of buttons on the motion controller.
They should of just came out with a Bluetooth Wireless Headset. And the right vr2 controller never works. Why cant they sell the controllers separately? After 1 year and nothing.
Hand tracking is crap on PC though lol. I bend down to pick something up in half life alyx and lose tracking. Doesn't happen on my quest 3. Controllers are way too big as well. awkward to put on.
How many did they sell during the first price reduction when the pcvr support was added? What was the price on the black Friday deal for the psvr2? Could be its a Christmas gift for others that increased the sales numbers. I don't think people are jumping at the chance of playing with it. Or scalpers, holidays sales. I have yet to buy one, I still want one, but is it something I need right now? Well, let's hope they keep getting cheaper so more people can play them.
I don’t appreciate this content because no one tells you just how bad Sony are with warranty and repair I bought the psvr2 on release paid full price and Iv had nothing but problems with the unit it’s been sent back three time and the last I needed up with my old controller and new headset so all the bull we are being to about can’t get controllers is bull Sony just lies to you and head tracking is bad since other vr companies have head and eye tracking
They are but unfortunately these games today take an insane amount of work and time. How long have we been waiting on GTA6 ? It sucks but there's games coming
Im glad to see Sony innovating and adding features. That being said, the weird anti-media take was unhinged. Game journalists have been reporting on the state of PSVR mostly accurately. There has been poor sign, and there has been a dirth of games and experiences and that's been an issue. It just seems to me people are upset that a product they like (as do I) is getting bad press.
Hand tracking!?! Thats "sony support". Dude i have psvr2 & now a quest 3 after buying & enjoying a quest 2. Why did i get a quest 2 to begin with? Uevr. Why? Because sony DOES NOT SUPPORT their own hardware with software. Astro NOT 2? Not vr?? If supportive of their hardware this is a 100% must after psvr1 was GOTY. Fanboys are garbage man. Terrible for vr. Wanna bet psvr3 isnt a thing? Where is the psvr2 storefront? Allllllllllll the way at the bottom of the page AFTER hitting the expand button. Psvr1 storefront is even above it. Quest & pcvr devs far more support psvr2 than sony who makes no additional controllers for separate purchase (theyre dead in 4 hours max without the possibility of swapping batteries). All the games that are "coming"(many of which were promised even for psvr1 & now pushed to psvr2 & STILL not here yet) have been put for years already on quest & or pcvr. Deny the writing on the wall all you want & the facts, but it just shows the true sony blue fanboy in you. I want all vr platforms to flourish its whats best for vr. But when a company dogs it & its consumers it requires rebuke not blind praise & denial.
As a PSVR2 owner, I barely touch mine. The controllers are big and awkward and lose tracking and have terrible charging, the room mapping is crap. Fresnel lenses are awful and a big step down from PSVR1. The headset is bulky. The cable is - a cable. The cams are awful. It has some great features like eye tracking, but its shortcomings overshadow its benefits. PLUS - why oh why did Sony not have VR support for Astrobot??? They barely support this thing and 3rd party devs are keeping it afloat.
although i love psvr2 i have to admit that there were no AAA-titles since horizon and gt7 and i am fed up with this cheap and terrible games available right now. even the games on psvr1 were better. therefore i also say that psvr2 is dead 😢
People go to extremes on either side... its dead or its heavily supported by sony.. its not dead. Its supported by 3rd party devs & still functional on a ps5. But sony support? Well... it may not be dead, but its in a coma on life support at the very best.
Say who? Where do you people come up with this nonsense from? This video is talking about you, bud 😂 What the f-k makes you all assume that there's nothing being made? And why do you ignore the ones already made and out? Sony is silent and has been for many years about all of their projects. And who's to say they don't have new projects lined up, but most of their studios have been swamped and lined up with whatever game they're working for the last 5 years already? These games today are insanely difficult to build and twice as hard to build them in VR. Relax and let them cook and enjoy the great games that's been coming our way until then.
@watkinsjames82 bit of an intense reaction to a question rather than an absolute statement of fact. I've got plenty to play on my PSVR 2, but when it comes to Sony releases we have Horizon and GT7. Thee is not even a title screen tease of anything else coming from them in the future.
@@watkinsjames82ummmm the closure of London studios. Fire Sprite studios. Astro bot 2 NOT in vr. No sony exclusive announcements... but closures of its vr studios.. what makes one think sony isn't supporting vr 2? What!?! Wtf makes you think sony IS supporting vr2? By making a overpriced pc adapter? Thats so they can sell to people on another platform to increase sales on their overstocked headset. Why? Cause they dont have the games or support to sell it on their platform exclusively.
Psvr 2 on pcvr doesnt have eye tracking. A lot of games from psvr1 are still on psvr 1. Only. They fired their cto... certainly for fun or "rumors". Bait clicks ? It seems this is what you're doing right now. Hey you said we should go f right ? No like and no subscribe. Nope.
I love my psvr2 but it has some big drawbacks compared to pc and they are Mura 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Much less games then pc vr Other than that, I think it’s incredible but it really needs more triple A games and no, they don’t need to be 60 hour open world games. 6-10 hours of triple A gaming is what we need and is highly possible and with this psvr2 would blow up and if they started adding vr modes to flat games , like they did with gt7 resident evil village etc that would be the icing on the cake. I really love games like synapse, call of the mountain and my new absolute gem Max Mustard but I really want more of the likes like resident evil, games like but NOT metro Awakening etc Vr gaming with all the negatives aside, really is so incredibly more FUN then flat gaming. If I have the choice of loading up something like horizon zero Dawn, god of war etc or some indie game even like Synapse, there simply isn’t any choice to be made. At least for me it don’t matter what game you put in front of me. Gaming is boring and stale and so are the games. Unless we start getting new games with some originality, then flat gaming with always be a shell of its former self to me and others alike.
Dude this whole video sounds like you are crying about the treatment of Sony by the media, when we all know the media is also accused of having a bias for the PS5. You yourself can't point to why the media hates it, it is probably because it isn't true. The PSVR2 has not done well, and a black Friday boost is not story worthy unless it sustains that trend. Also, the PSVR 2 IS lacking in support, especially compared to the PSVR1 that had must have VR exclusives that are still stuck on that platform. PSvr2 arguably has just 1 and it came out at release. Sony needs more high profile exclusives releases so people take it seriously. Why buy a psvr2 when it gets less games than a quest 3, and most 'new' psvr2 games are ports of pcvr and quest games.
"Why buy a psvr2 when it gets less games than a quest 3" The PS VR2 is a good middle ground IF you already own a PS5, and DON'T own a gaming PC. The showpiece titles visually blow away anything possible of the standalone Quest. Something like the upcoming port of the PCVR game "Subside", the game I'm most looking forward to showing off to VR newbies, just isn't possible on standalone. Quest 3 is awesome too. Unfortunately it's being held back by the Quest 2. 99% of the games in the Quest store are native Quest/Quest 2 games still. With the exception of a few mixed-reality titles. Neither platform is perfect. We need healthy competition in the VR space in order for it to grow. This isn't a war, so choose whichever you like. There's always going to be a trade-off unless you have a gaming PC to tether it to.
You lost me whenever you said it only arguably has just one high profile exclusive. You have not done your homework, sonny Jim, and as such, are talking a load of bollocks.
I bought the PSVR2 during the sale and tried GT7 and I now have an stunning theme park attraction in my home. It's amazing and I love it. I still play pancake games but I love how special VR is and it's a great addition to my gaming hobby.
What's the theme park-esque game? Thanks.

Fanboys logic just blows me away
This is great news but having astro bots not being VR was mistake. That game won game of the year and would gave been the killer holiday game for the psvr2.
Agreed! I don’t think it will be hard for them to port it over
Maybe they plan on making a separate vr game specifically with the psvr2 in mind? And now hearing about hand tracking being a possible feature for the headset… well you never know I guess.
@@H3KUTA It's hard to give Sony the benefited of doubt this point.
What two first party games?
To add some extra content to this video I read an article that supposedly Apple is talking to sony about integrating sony’s sense controllers to the apple vision pro. What that means (if it’s true) is that finally Sony will sell sense controllers separately! That’s been my biggest complaint against PSVR2! So hope that’s something that comes to fruition!
They also improved reprojection lately, see ps5 pro method for GT7
@Frowggy I will. Thx!
@@nomanisanisland
Just purely wondering, what led you to switch?
@Frowggy PC was a distraction. When I boot up, I think, "I'll just check my inbox," "I'll quickly do this," etc. Plus, it's not in the most leisurely room. So, instead of my usual upgrade, I bought a Chromebook for study, a NUC for production and work, and a PS5 (with PSVR2) for gaming. You gotta keep 'em separated!
@@nomanisanisland
That's kinda a you problem not a PC problem ngl
(OK. I will admit that I am a Sony fan and own two Sony Bravia TV's.)
The Quest 3 is cool for VR Chat, map programs and watching TH-cam or TH-cam TV in bed or when I travel. For anyone who owns a PS5 and wants to get into VR, the PSVR2 is the better choice. The recent sale price of $350 was a steal.

I don't see how people are like "best decision I ever made".
@@tasseiviews2947
Ok first, I'm agreeing with this original post here.
Psvr2.is awesome so many great games . The most AAA vr games on any vr platform in the last 4 years and not even year 3 yet.
On top of this now apparently from trusted sources apple and sony have made an agreement to use the dual sense controllers with apple’s headset as well which will also show players to buy spare controllers

I will believe it when i see sense controllers in the store.
I just got the PS5 Pro and the PS VR2. It’s truly amazing. (I also own a PS4 and PSVR1). Hoping Sony will bring Astro bot VR to PSVR2.

I just purchased the PS5 pro to enhance my PSVR2 experience, and boy it's incredible. No Man's Sky and GT7 are mind-blowing in VR. Can't wait to get the new Aliens game for VR also.
How has it made it better?

At the end of the day the thing holding vr down from mainstream is deleting buttons from the motion controller and making video game interactions "Tedious Only"
Vr is supposed to be synonymous with accessible, not tedium.
Meanwhile an echo chamber pushes this
"i might as well play flat if your pressing butt0na to reload, because vr has to be equal footing. Its a competition. Maybe hmd isnt for you if you dont want to twist door handles and reload guns."
So you all hype up game content that wouldn't get a 2nd thought in the flat gaming world.

People go to extremes on either side... its dead or its heavily supported by sony.. its not dead. Its supported by 3rd party devs & still functional on a ps5. But sony support? Well... it may not be dead, but its in a coma on life support at the very best.
Isn't it fair to say that Sony have dropped support in terms of future games being developed by their own studios?
Say who? Where do you people come up with this nonsense from? This video is talking about you, bud 😂
What the f-k makes you all assume that there's nothing being made?
Nope.
😂 sore ass 😂
I love my psvr2 but it has some big drawbacks compared to pc and they are
Mura 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Much less games then pc vr
Other than that, I think it’s incredible but it really needs more triple A games and no, they don’t need to be 60 hour open world games.
6-10 hours of triple A gaming is what we need and is highly possible and with this psvr2 would blow up and if they started adding vr modes to flat games , like they did with gt7 resident evil village etc that would be the icing on the cake.
I really love games like synapse, call of the mountain and my new absolute gem Max Mustard but I really want more of the likes like resident evil, games like but NOT metro Awakening etc
Vr gaming with all the negatives aside, really is so incredibly more FUN then flat gaming.
"Why buy a psvr2 when it gets less games than a quest 3"
The PS VR2 is a good middle ground IF you already own a PS5, and DON'T own a gaming PC.
Quest sucks . only good thing about it is mixed reality which is boring . The quality of the vr2 performs better than the quest big time .
😂😂😂 blah blah nobody reading all that ignorance 😂
You lost me whenever you said it only arguably has just one high profile exclusive. You have not done your homework, sonny Jim, and as such, are talking a load of bollocks.
