Yeah, I did that too with all my D&D & Book characters. Building them, their homes & families in the sims really helps bring their backstories to life 😀 Hope you have a fantastic time in the game & watch out for those natural 1's. DM's can get real creative with those lol.

All characters have some similarity to the player but especially the first character is usually very much alike. And I think that's smart. It helps to get into the game. So much new stuff to learn. Also very smart to keep your character "simple". Many times new players dream of a hero who has already gone through battles and hardships and killed dragons etc. But the idea is to start that heroic journey from the beginning with your group. I'm so excited for you and I can't wait to hear more. How about a series of dnd builds and characters?
I'll always remember my first campaign, I had no idea what I was doing and just went with the flow, I'm so excited for you to experience this, and ofc the build is beautiful ❤
Congrats on playing your first game of DnD! :) Just remember that it’s okay to not know everything and to just have fun!!! As a veteran DnD player, all I can say is learn what your spells do and when in combat, deciding what you want to do before it’s your turn will help with your turn but it’s okay if you can’t decide and need to ask the DM questions!!!
This build is so cozy! Looking forward to seeing future builds within the setting of your D&D campaign and see how your character grows along the way! Its always amazing to see where a character may go once it is placed in a world, and how a general idea/backstory can flourish into a complex character that has some nuances. Also it inspired me to build the home of my character from my previous campaign. The campaign may be over but she definitely is strong in my memory and the story will stick with me forever

Oh goodness, this whisked me back to childhood camping holidays (I’m talking ‘50’s here!). Some were spent in Salcombe, but most were in a field close to the harbour in Mullion. Off the beaten track back then and masses of freedom to wander for us kids. Thank you for bringing back those memories.

Especially when you're playing for the first time, it is extremely helpful to have some strong 'anchors' you can identify with in your character. You'll see: He'll develop his own personality over time and gain traits you might not be thinking of right now. It also strongly depends on your fellow players and their characters and play style, and, of course, the adventures you'll have! Really love this for you and hope you have loads of fun! 😊

Omg this is a perfect cottage for my first dnd character! She was a half elf, half human ace druid who had a doggo side kick and generally despised people. The campaign started with a dragon egg falling from a different dimension onto her land while she was having a smoke and culminated in us literally sticking a sword up Cyric's...well you know. Good times.
your character is so fleshed out, love the backstory. i hope you have a blast with your first campaign. dnd rules take a little time to learn, don't worry if you don't get them all right away! imagination and enthusiasm are what really makes dnd fun.
From one wizard to another, I strongly recommend getting yourself the d&d arcane spell cards! Easier than trying to flick through the book every time you want to set something on fire 😁 Beautiful build 💜
There are also plenty of free D&D spell apps for phones out there, which are also super handy. Most of them you can build all of your character's spells into a special list. Then you don't have to track anything down, including spell cards from multiple box collections.

oh my smell gorgeous terrain painting skills there, i just listened the story and the painting skills brought me to an other world truely. the character extremely relatable wow great story telling. it was happiness to listen.
It would be AMAZING if you did this as a series and maybe made a home for each of your friends and families DnD characters. Or, but maybe slightly harder, asked for submissions in the chat and created followers houses based on their DnD set ups ? I love this sort of build. The story element makes it super engaging and easy to follow
This is what got me into sims in the first place - recreating my various D&D and TTRPG characters! And as soon as I got the building bug, building every one of my and my mates rpg character's homes 😄 So it thrills me to see Im not the only one who does that 😊

Two weeks ago my boyfriend started also his new D&D campaign ( it's like medieval/pirate theme) and this video inspired me to build also my pj's house. Her name is Carmilla and is a lawful-evil vampire who wants to reclaim the honor of her clan ( they have sort of an Order and there's like a new captain that is straining the principles of the original clan and now Carmilla is searching for him). She is kind of a villan but also not, it's like 50/50, she just want the best for her family and clan.
This is wonderful!! With your penchant for storytelling you’re going to have an absolute blast. Adorable build and great character choices; one of the best parts of DnD is making new characters 😅

wizards are my absolute favourite class in d&d; I'm starting a new campaign soon and I'm going to be playing a divination wizard (my favourite subclass) who has ocd (I suffer from ocd, and often my intrusive thoughts are about bad things happening in the future, so I thought it'd be really interesting to explore that through d&d as it's a medium that I've used in the past to process stuff). so excited for you, I hope you have a great time playing! edit - I absolutely love watching/listening to actual plays (recordings of other people playing d&d) and it was so helpful for me in the beginning with learning the rules. highly recommend dimension20 and naddpod (not another d&d podcast) and they're great for listening to while building in the sims!

I love this! I've wanted to get into DnD for ages, and last month my friends invited me to join their campaign. My character is a Arcane Trickster Rogue, a former pirate who got rescued by the rest of the team after a botched heist which may or may not have been a scam. He's kind of a blunt asshole, with a fondness for an occasional blunt 🔥🥬 but he means well, also I tried making him as distinct from myself as possible but I've basically accepted that he's a self-insert with the key difference being that I'm cautious to a fault and he, erm, isn't.
Could we create our own characters within the guidelines of being in the location for you to make a village with maybe? I'd LOVE that collective energy so we can 'join' you in your joy.
I have this character that I wanna be in D&D, she’s a Paladin who is kind of like Miranda Cosgrove in School of Rock, like totally snobby and insufferable. I wanna play her so bad man

I adore the bed furnishings, I can really picture how they were used as he grew up, and I love that his mom is keeping it there as he leaves the nest.

I love this! I've wanted to get into DnD for ages, and last month my friends invited me to join their campaign. My character is a Arcane Trickster Rogue, a former pirate who got rescued by the rest of the team after a botched heist which may or may not have been a scam. He's kind of a blunt asshole, with a fondness for an occasional blunt 🔥🥬 but he means well, also I tried making him as distinct from myself as possible but I've basically accepted that he's a self-insert with the key difference being that I'm cautious to a fault and he, erm, isn't.
Could we create our own characters within the guidelines of being in the location for you to make a village with maybe? I'd LOVE that collective energy so we can 'join' you in your joy.

I love it when people get passionate about things they love and their hobbies. Society has become so heavily work obsessed that people are forced to give up doing what they enjoy so its lovely to see and hear 🫶🏻
