had a 1989 48 - those late 80s were the best looking Oceans ever....the 48 above all. Not a great head sea boat, but a nice following sea ride and an awesome dock tail boat.
I had a Silverton with those engines. After 7 years of my ownership and 700 hours (1900 hours total) the only money spent engines outside of regular service was having the idle adjusted in one of them. They were rock solid, I love those engines. Also, they do leak oil, you get used to it, if they aren’t leaking you have a problem.
I am totally down with this boat except for the wall paper in the bathrooms lol I could see parking this bad boy offshore somewhere and enjoying the scenery
Growing up outside destin florida, my best friend's parents had a 1989 48ft oceanyacht with full tuna tower. I loved it. Cool to climb to top of tower. I am 38 years old now. Miss those days
Ben I’m just curious. How much would it cost you to redo all the interior and make it look more modern ? I’m just curious. I know I will buy a boat in the future and I wouldn’t mind restoring an older boat like this ‘89 I watch all your videos too good job on your channel.
Probably $30/$40k. Better to buy one already redone or find one you like in its original state. I find in most cases buyers are very critical while they are purchasing but then fall in love with the lifestyle and boat and end up not changing much of anything.

You can tell that the appliances definitely need an upgrade. Probably one reason why the sale price is so low.
