- Coming to Korea, I wish I knew beforehand how my dorm was gonna look like. This was the place I'd be LIVING IN away from home.

it's weird that most people in the comment section afraid that they gonna get rejected by these university bcos of bad grades .. of course you're gonna get rejected if you had a bad grades .. there's no other way in LOL at least for us who wants to study abroad

That is so cool! When I arrive to university, I plan on going away on an erasmus! I'm from Spain, I currently know 3 languages and not long ago I started learning korean, so I have to places in mind: one where the spoken language is English, and the other one is Korea. I guess when the time comes I'll decide, but if I go to Korea, would I need to have much money for like, an apartment, or a dorm or something like that?
Btw, sorry if I made any grammar mistakes, I am a little bit tired so I barely know what I'm writing, hehe

I'll be studying in Sogang on exchange in 2019 1st semester. I am quite picky and like to cook my own meals. I am curious, is there a common kitchen area where the students can use to cook?

Ok,sooo if i temporary move to Korea and am just curious about studying program and university life could i like talk to the principal or something and ask him if i can stay week or two (month if possible) in the dorm and attend classes and everything(just as normal student) but not study,write or get grades?Mainly what i'm trying to say is will they let me stay there and basically not do anything and just follow classes,listen as they talk and stuff without interference? Is it possible??

Thanks! I got a scholarship including dorm for two terms at Sogang, but I read some posts online that there are no dorms that non-Korean students can get into!? But this looks fine! I'm excited! Was your roommate Korean? I'd prefer to live with a Korean guy to improve my Korean... And were all the rooms just two people in one room or some with more? Thanks again!

Your voice is so relaxing! I love your building tour too! When you were deciding to study abroad, did you have many universities to choose from or did you know you wanted to go to Sogang? If you had many choices, how did you decide? Also, does Sogang offer a meal plan, or are you responsible for finding your own food during study abroad?

-Yup, I was looking at programs from Yonsei, Ewha, and even Hanyang.
If you had many choices, how did you decide?
-Personally, I did soooo much research on each program. I also had to look at what I was trying to get from going to Korea (prioritizing on my speaking, over writing and reading), Sogang really worked on that.
Also, does Sogang offer a meal plan, or are you responsible for finding your own food during study abroad?
- For my program, we had breakfast and dinner, lunch was not included. But there are places in the plaza on campus that serve a cheap, but good lunch :)

I kinda don't wanna go to college tho. I just want to get my scholarship so I can study in Korea because to me there's no point in going to college in America when I'm gonna live in Korea in the future and plus I want to be a model in Korea. But at the same time I don't wanna make my mom mad cause I know she'll probably want me to go to college but I don't want her wasting her money when I won't even be there long... And plus college and university is the same right?
Mind you, this school is Catholic like Yunsei is Protestant Church one, which means students should attend worship 1/week.
Are classes there in korean or in English?

I glad that my dorm is bigger than yours. (Feeling grateful). But unfortunately, to buy some necessity, we have to take grab. And boys and girls have their own building and we also don't have elevator here. Yeah😊✌

Hi! I will certainly go to Sogang University for a summer programm in July. Can we apply for dormitory? Beacause people near to me said that dormitory are not available to the language center. But on the website of summer programm they wrothe the price of the dormitory. So I don't know what to believe 😓
