Yep, I don't understand the reason somebody calls this dude a miserable one. I live with my parents in my 18, not planning to leave them, don't have a girlfriend, even though one girl really likes me. Don't use a social media, but trust me, if I had one, and somebody would've wanted to talk about my lifestyle - THEY would've beene ones, blocking my account in tears, with an absolutely destroyed self-esteem, not me xD It feels amazing to live this way

Real talk, shy guys are the most emotionally mature people you can ever meet. My absolute best friend was a shy guy whom I met in my freshman years, I approached him after I noticed we were in several courses together. NEVER once did he ever ask me or encourage me to do dangerous or illegal stuff like my other "friends" in my college years. He saw me in my most pathetic state and decided to help me all the way through, whereas my other "friends" just cut contact with me despite knowing them far longer than my shy guy friend. He never ONCE judged me, or made fun of me or anyone else for that matter. He'd always advise me calmly whenever I am about to do something bad, he used literal facts and logic to make sure I never do something I regret. He enjoyed simple and quiet hangouts instead of the obnoxiously loud hangouts like going to parties/mixers. He was really one of a kind, and a true gem.

@@hopeslover6778 I do feel the term misogyny gets thrown around too much. The red pill movement was great until it started misleading young men. Which is weird because they tell young men they need to get fit, not give a fuck about anyone but themselves and make a lot of money. I think every movement online and "circle" has one common issue. The absence of altruism. It is always about me, me, me. I make it a habit to text or call someone different just to see how they are doing every week. Not because I need or want to pry something out of them. People in general both sexes included need to be more altruistic. Altruistic but with no expectation.
I was driving late at night after a girl hit my fender in my Suzuki. She had a lot of stuff going on so I did not call insurance and told her it was not a big deal. (Mind you, she hit the car and did not stop on the shoulder but looked like she hesitated. I was FURIOUS because I thought she was trying to run. I am still amazed to this day how I was able to calm down given the fact I used to be very violent and aggressive.)The girl then told me "if you need anything, and I mean anything please call me." Interpret it as you wish, but I never called her after that incident for sex or something because you give and help people out of principle. I just told her " remember what I did for you and just do it for someone else."
Not trying to humble brag. I just wish people were more nicer and altruistic on a smaller scale...

The last couple generations of women chose to have children later in life. The result is that children don't really know their grandparents as functional adults anymore, and their parents are older, physically weaker, and less capable of caring for themselves. After the age of 30, your body undergoes a noticable decline every 5 years, and the energy young adults have to stay up drinking all night and partying is suppose to be to function while caring for newborns. The result of this is that a lot of kids feel responsible for their parents and their grandparents, and are compelled to care for them even when it costs them a good amount of their youth, opportunities, and personal development. This is why it is important to have a lot of children, and to have them early.

I moved back into my parents house at 27. I lived alone for 3 years and wasted around 30k for rent in those years. For what? to live alone in an apertement with shitty neighbours who are loud all the time? At the same time my Mom lost her job and my father is not doing the best healthwise. I came back to my parentshouse and now help out to keep the house in our family and pay for alot fo things. I dont know what how it will be in the future, but i cant abandon my family, as i had a good hard working parents that just didnt earn alot of money... What am i supposed to do? Go live alone and ignore my parents just so im socially acceptable?
People at work talk behind my back, why i moved back and laugh. But the same people would take it a life time to save up the money i saved. I already have plans to buy the house for myself and buy a house and land in my home country.
I dont expect women to be attracted to a guy who is still living with his parents, but i also dont expect to be with a girl who has no family values.

If he can abandon a woman who gave birth to him and raised him, and looked after him almost all of his life, imagine what he can do to a woman who he has just known for weeks, months or a couple years.

I see your point but he still is lying to her about him trying to get a job instead of playing with old friends where he's comfortable at. At least that much I managed to take from the video. I mean he's not necessarily a bad person but if you think about it he kinda clings to everything he finds relatable to. His invalid mother, old friends which he doesnt really seem to like but just for the sake that they know each other keeps sticking with them. Sticking to what you know best is a survival mechanism and not a wrong strategic in life but when that gets you knowhere maybe you just change things up. Let's think this through. One day his mother dies, so hes left alone in the house by himself. What does he do there. Live. Who's gonna pay for his needs: -food, water, electricity. We dont know, because we dont even know if he works since he lies out of shyness and discretion. And further if thats his behavior who would like to bond with such person who cant share a single ounce of information or form of opinion. Well thats my take on the video I think thats what the author tried to tell, if not the whatever.

Yes, go to shopping mall and start to bother people going about their own day with pickup lines suggested by "dating experts". I am sure that's gonna work.
To really meet people, you need a common background to relate to, like a common hobby or when you meet on sort of course or classes. I guess that's why school and college are the best for that kind of thing, you are going to the same place after all. Then, everybody is just busy with work and whatever, but it's not impossible to get out of this circle. I just don't believe that cold approach will work, or maybe I'm looking for excuses.

@Troll Toxico You can look like a Chad but not keep the spirit of one. Conversely, you could be a seemingly normal guy and still keep the powerful spirit of the Chad.
That’s what I think they were saying.
The second point is, introversion and extraversion are not exactly well defined traits. Carl Jung defined an introvert as one who stuck to their values, and an extravert as one who changes with the situation. Personality type theories then used the four elements, Intuition Sensing Thinking and Feeling and split those up, applying them to introversion and extraversion with those definitions, to create eight functions.
Extraversion, now swapped and spelt ‘extroversion’, and introversion then gained a social interpretation to it. Personally, I find this interpretation a little two-dimensional, as you’d often see introverts as book-wielding asocial shy nerds and extroverts as popular outgoing party friends. I suspect that this may be the interpretation you are using, and it classifies my very extroverted self somewhere down the middle.
Another interpretation is used in psychology: extroverts are energised from socialising and introverts from being alone. This is what classifies me as an extrovert, which I find relatable.
(I define ‘extraversion’ with an ‘a’ as Carl’s original ideas, and ‘extroversion’ with an ‘o’ as the modern idea.)
I am terribly sorry for this unsolicited info dump.

It's not cool to help your parents, but being helped by your parents is cool,

All such nice tiny bits, information in a quite calmly appearing video.
The Plot twist at the end really hit hard, the story inducing again a overthinking of ones own morale,

Men (also women, it’s still the same) need to remember that having tons of friends, sleeping with tons of people and having nice stuff that you’ve just bought because you could are not achievements. They are mere conversations and won’t amount to any greater goals with making a better life.
Don’t surround yourself with luxuries and false friends or partners because, in truth, they only want stuff from you, and could easily leave when you’re in a bad situation that you need their help.

I'm kind of like this. 20 years old, a student, i have a few friends but they're outside of our country, working. I've had 3 relationships, but it was mostly that one which i had with my girl bestfriend and the other two was basically rebound and they both didnt last even a few weeks. My mom died of cancer when i was 16 so i live alone with my dad, my older brothers already moved out. Im shy but i can talk to people i don't know, if i force myself (altough these interactions are not the definition of a good and clear talk). The point i'm trying to make is that due to this whole lockdown situation i've been slowly getting more and more depressed. i've never before actually considered myself that. The lockdown forced my friends to go to another country, as they were "no longer needed" at their current job and i can't interact with the people at my university, some of which i considered friends, and most of which i liked, simply because we shared interests. Now i feel kind of helpless or i just feel "heavy", i can't quite describe it, it's like i don't want to leave my room or i just surrender very quickly. Internet's kind of my last place where i can express myself and sometimes that helps. Anyway folks, stay strong and I hope you have a better experience in these bad times.

His logic is sound. The woman can't seem to realize the bullshit generalizations she is spewing out of her mouth.
I am in a pretty similar situation. My dad's last marriage and divorce left mentally impaired because of all the suffering he endured. I moved in with him and been living with him and taking care of him for 14 years.
I can't have a social life, I don't have time for anything else besides dad, the house work and my job which is our only source of income.
Video games are the only thing that keeps me sane and relaxed, so I can go through the every day.
It hasn't been easy, since 2015 my dad's mental health has taken a turn for the worst, he became a Trump hater and has been endoctrinated to believe every republican is satan and that everything bad in the planet is the Republicans fault, this coming from a person that wasn't political at all he literally had no mind for it but they managed to brain wash him. It's been a struggle for me because if I hear the word Trumo 1 more time my head is going to explode.
Should I abandon my father? No, I must take care of my family, I am all the family he has. Should I put him in a home? I dont have the means, plus I can't bring myself to do that to him but if it continues.... I won't have a choice.

I have a freelance job and I'm able to pay the bills and pay for the groceries with the grace of god.
There were times that I though I was going to lose it and do something I'd regret. It can be like literal torture.
But, sometimes, the hardest thing is that people don't seem to want to understand. They probably think the reason why I seem depressed yet fine is because I want to complain.. To be honest, I have no idea what they think. But, it hurts when they seem to judge you when they have no real idea what you've been through.. Its as if they're trying to assert how hard 'their' life is to you by rejecting your scars.
What kind of competition is this? Who is the biggest victim in the room?? I fail to see how this actually helps them or me.

Considering it takes a few thousand to even move into the crappiest apartment most places and most of a young person's income to cover rent moving out is financial suicide. I moved out when I am 18 and spent the greater part of the next 20 years renting this place and that as it was all I could afford. 2 years ago I bought a house after a year and a half of saving like mad and renting just a room instead of a whole apartment just to accumulate my down payment on this house I have now. The problem is modern monetary theory has made asset prices inflate so much in value that young people are living at home for so much longer just to save up a down payment. In effect, it's creating more of these types of people with this mindset. It's really incredible to think that central banking and finance has such a broad and large sociological/psychological impact on people!

I've met some shy people in my life. They're like every average person, just harder to get to or exchange communication towards. I've been that guy once, and the thing I realized that was in common with all of us is the fact that we cannot start a conversation, and if started, have extreme difficulty with transitioning it into free-flowing conversation. I've since grew out of it, but I still have some friends who still are in the dilemma. What I've learned is, "Activity is the crutch of interaction." You can't solely rely on communication for that. It's pretty common for people not being able to start a conversation, and most of the time it's probably even situational. Having an activity both of you are participating in is a good way to easily and comfortably be able to talk to each other.

Maximize everything. Both your weaknesses and your strengths. Do not overblow your strengths to humongous proportions to think you are the best but rather grow improve, and find a way to be productively humble. With your weakness understand them, face them, and take time. It will be heard, but it will be worth it because you will now have an understanding of what limits you. If you have an at least a shred of understanding of what limits you, you should be able to at least peek at your passion. And then start from there. Never believe optimism that happens overnight and learn to know the difference between flattery and encouragment in your own contexts. Flattery is mass produced and easy to sell, whole encouragement is personal, mostly related to productive and constructive criticism. Some of which can offend slightly as it carries truth. But understand the motive behind it.
You may be living in another country, but I do think can relate with you in some way. Good luck and good tidings!

My coworker is in his 30s and lives in a multi-generational household. Yeah he lives with his mom and loves D&D more than electronic games. He also has a decent job, many friends, entertaining personality, and never complains about not having women flock to him. His family built the farm and house he lives in from scratch. He always has people to hang out with that have similar interests, his money is his, and he seems genuinely happy. I envy his happiness. Life is what you make of it.

That's his choice to make. My point is that he's pretty satisfied with his life and at the end of the day that's all that really matters. His brother never left and he's happily married with a kid on the same farm. It's not necessarily the life for me but they seem pretty happy not trying to follow some societal standard.
