Well done Mike, glad you enjoyed this beer. Brewing Belgians can be a lot of fun. Brewed the Dark Saison in the Craft Beer & Brewing magazine today with a bit of a twist. Going to use oak spirals soaked in Rum. Congrats on your beer. Looks like both of you liked it.
Looks tasty! One of my favorite styles! DeKonninck (DK) is the quintessential; the pride of Antwerp. They have a great brewery tour/experience. There should be virtually no Belgian yeast character, almost lager like. Olympic Yeast Labs-049 is the DK strain. Special B really helps make the beer. Thanks Dudes!
Brew dudes love the video, quick question. Which of the jar of destiny picks of beers you wouldn't normally brew has surprised you the most ? And been the nicest? Love you guys 👍👍👍
I don't know if we've hit it yet but I guess currently in the running was when I did a Brett beer. I think I need to refine that one some more but its certainly something that offers complexity but we hardly ever think to focus on using Brett. Cheers! -Mike
@@BrewDudesI've never brewed a brett beer. I've drank a few of the horse blanket ones. But it's not for me, too much of a move away from the taste of beer. I'm interested in the stone fruit /citrus flavours that can come from brett. So would like to try and brew one sometime. Cheers guys for the work you do on your channel 👍
my favorite bru - doods. thanks for another drop.
looks amazing yum
I love these "cara" malts. Color + character of the malt. Nice work dudes.

That beer looks delicious. A buddy of mine turned me on to WLP575 for belgians PAs, to me that's always the best choice for yeast

Have you tried zinnebir? It changed the way I think about Belgian beer. Particularly Belgian pale ale - though it may not fit the style guidelines.
