It's precisely because of the misinformation about OCD and intrusive thoughts that the disorder is stigmatised and often overlooked. It's known as the cleaning disorder and intrusive thoughts are portrayed as quirky impactless things. Because of the stigma, many of us suffer in silence. Don't contribute to it.
