Steph put me on to the best full coverage foundation I've ever found in a mid range price point at just £14.99. Milani foundation 2 in 1 foundation. Like this almost as much as Charlotte Tilbury flawless foundation at just half the price. Beautiful if full coverage is your thing ❤
I get the feeling Revolution expanded too quickly and the quality might have suffered as a result. I haven’t bought any of their makeup in years but they have such a massive product range that they can’t all be great, especially given how quickly they churn out new releases.

That foundation is one of my absolute favourites. It's very glowy/oily and full coverage, and it doesn't really dry down, but I have dry skin and don't mind that, and find that the not setting means it actually blends back together if it settles into wrinkles? So it's actually better for me than more matte ones. At the same time I can completely see why other people would hate it
You have to remember too everyone has totally different expectations when it comes to hyped or viral products. They've probably seen all their fave influencers raving about a product and then they receive it and it's just not all that. Also, a lot of influencers maybe have botox and/or fillers and use filters on their videos so it's never going to look the same on your skin.

I always mention the Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation that literally everyone and their mothers raved about, I never saw one single bad review of that foundation, and it sat so terribly on my skin I can't even describe. And I don't even have bad skin. As for Revolution, I still like them, but I just find it so annoying the back to back constant launches, it's impossible to keep up with and I feel like at this point I don't even know what products they have.
The Wet n Wild foundation is one of the very few that works on me😆 I'm oily and most foundations let the oilyness through before I'm even done with my makeup. And the very heavy full coverage and matte ones just look horrible and cakey. My quite newly discovered favourite one is Lumene Stay, it's not completely matte but keeps the oils under control very well❤
omg yes that wet n wild foundation is definitely the worst one i ever tried. it looked awful on me and i couldn’t even build the coverage because when i was trying to apply more product the first layer was completely disappearing creating holes in my base 😭😭

I was GUTTED I bought the Brow Freeze. Believed the hype and assumed the name of the product would have baring on it's capabilities lol.... it doesn't set so they just move around... took me a while to find the perfect product for fluffy brows that stay put ...and it's the Got2Be freeze hold gel... AMAZING! NOTHING compares!
I feel this way about every brow product I've tried that other people have no issue with! I think it's because I have a warm face 😂 not tried the got2be so it's on my list 🙌🏻

And I'm a hot person too lol (as in temperature 🤣🙈).... just get some disposable spoolies, fluff up your brow with the got2b before foundation, otherwise it makes it go wierd around your brows. I also use a cotton pad with some makeup remover on and go round the edges of my brows.... and after foundation I'll fill my brows in with the urban decay brow blade, really good for little hair strokes. It's taken me ALONG time lol,,,, but that's my perfect brow combo for sure! Fluffy natural thick looking brows that stay put!! The got2b gel is also pretty big and will last ages. Ridiculously cheap in comparison to other brow products. Give it a go and let me know how you get on :-)

Face products I absolutely hate i give to my BFF cause I know she’ll love them 😂 that’s how different out skins are..! Goes to show that there’s no formula perfect for everyone
I melted a €1 soap bar into a mint box that I had bought at the beginning of summer and was by then empty. Both the soap and the mints cost me in total €2 from tiger store and they work amazing. I use a travel spray bottle filled with water (that I mainly use for styling my hair/spot cleaning) and a brush from a NYX brow pencil I got probably 3 years ago? And that my friends works amazing for its price. Because using a bar of soap isn't always convenient. Expecially when travelling or if you need to carry it with you. I swear if I do soap brows (which I've learnt how to then position the hair so it looks fluffy but not wolverine style) and I move my brows after I push the hair down I can feel them stuck to my face. They're not budging at all.
as revolution base products go, I really love the conceal and hydrate. when I first started wearing makeup, I'd go for matte foundations but they really didn't suit my skin. I always try to go for cheap foundations and found that conceal and hydrate (and possibly conceal and glow) is a good option for comobination skin. also a fan of the conceal and hydrate concealer!
Different strokes for different folks i reckon. To assume one make up product is going to suit everyone is crazy. Totally agree about Revolution, way too many product lunches to keep up with...cant wait for more reviews when your back Steph ❤

I've recently bought from the revolution pro line their blush and lift liquid blusher. Because I was looking for a new cream/liquid blush (I have two stick one already I don't know why I keep buying more) and found that one was on sale. It's pretty good. Sometimes it can look patchy on me because it's so pigmented you need the tiniest amount and too little product doesn't always spread evenly.
I agree with you on the stick foundation. I honestly like it better than more expensive foundation sticks that I’ve tried, including the Hourglass foundation stick.
did it to me too, in fact I put it in the video on the flops of the period. then I discovered that the only thing to make it work is to put very little of it 😊❤️
I love the revolution foundation stick it just doesn't last that long! It literally lasted me 2 weeks with everyday use. There just isn't enough of it. Bottles of foundation will last me around 10 weeks with daily use xx

Instant age rewind concealer is one I hate that everyone loves. It's the sponge application though because I have so many different concealer I use it just gets like coagulation between uses on the sponge lol.

I love the revolution fast base stick, it was my everyday foundation for sixth form. I have dry skin and I didn’t wear powder with it and it stayed on great with no cakiness 🤩💕
I was surprised to see Benefit's Hoola Bronzer on that list... it's a really good Bronzer! The W7 Honolulu Bronzer is a good dupe for it if you want something a little bit more affordable, and the Honolulu is a little bit darker as well.
J* concealer is my favorite concealer. I'm 52 with super dry skin, lines, and a bit of crepeing and my under eyes look fantastic with that concealer. I set it with rude cosmetics mineral under eye powder and my eyes actually look smooth. It's a fantastic combo for me.
Is there any other concealers or foundations you recommend for more mature dry skin? I have such dry skin, nothing ever sits nicely, I look like krusty the klown, I end up not being able to wear make up 😭 I personally wouldnt buy Jeffree star, but any other suggestions are very much welcome 🙏🏼
I've been loving it cosmetics cc cream and also the urban decay hydromaniac foundation. Day wear I mix with a bit of charlotte tilbury primer and a bit of ct daily light moisturiser. If you want more coverage then just use as is. My skin is dry and dull.
Makeup is personal, so things work differently for everyone. Could the poor color payoff from the too faced palette be because it’s old, or was the quality poor to begin with? I hate the lip injection because it hurts so much and gives my sensitive lips a rash.
I LOVES the super shock highlighters but I use it more as a cream highlighter and I use a sponge to apply it and it looks amazing !! I use a similar application as you would with setting powder and a sponge Loved this video!! Xxx

Man I don't think I've ever tried a base product by revolution. I only have a couple of their pallets. I guess when I spend coin on makeup I usually go for ridiculous priced things..
I am definitely one of those people who hate the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Foundation. It looks nice for about half a second and then it turns into crease city.
I agree with the Revolution opinions. While the prices are going up and they’re dappling in higher-end type products, the quality isn’t following suite. Their (more expensive) Tuxedo palette formed an eyeshadow lightning bolt in my crease within 4 hours! 😭😳
Can you do a full face of catkin makeup from amazon the packaging is amazing and so beautiful but I don't want want to buy products to just for the packaging, so could u test if its any good? Please I love your reviews and your honesty
Revolution is my ride or die 😂 I have so many of their products lol. Crazy how things can work SO differently for different people. Although I believe sometimes it’s just technique when it comes to eyeshadow or what product you use underneath - I understand though it can be annoying to the average consumer that wants something easy to slap on before work etc but I love layering different products and if something doesn’t have the most pigment I just use a plouise coloured base under it 😄 I’m also cheap so I make everything work until I use it up haha 😆 I used to hate the conceal and define foundation because I always applied what I see influencers do online but find foundation never looks like that in real life and now I use a moisturiser and literally 2 dots of the foundation it looks really skin like and it’s now my fave foundation 😂😂😂
the elf face setting mist snt a problem its light and dewy ans sets your makeup in place i think the nyx lip lingre is good too but without balm underneath
Lol I like conceal and define foundation from revolution . Good coverage stays on the skin throughout the day and no creasing or cakiness. I haven’t tried stick one! But looked nice 😊 xx
I don't like the born this way foundation, I brought this as one of my first 'high end' foundation to use at my wedding, but it just doesn't look smooth, sits ontop of the skin and looks separating in some places and not the best coverage, I've use a beauty blender, a brush, even my fingers but it all does the same thing
I have almost the exact same ear piercings as you. My right ear has 4 lobes, a conch, 2 helix, and I used to have a rook. Left ear has 5 lobes, 4 with two stacked, and my daith.
I used to love Revolution Fast Base, not tried it recently though. They bring out too many products too quickly. It encourages make up hoarding , which I have been guilty of. There's only so much make under can use at once!
I noticed you have a few makeup items for a long time , what's your thoughts on use by dates on makeup and do you find they don't go on so well after awhile x
I know you mentioned it in a video a while ago, but did you ever try the Unicorn Cosmetics bear brow gel. Dupe for the ABH as far as I know. May be worth anyone who really wants to try the ANH one but would rather spend £7 that £23! I like mine, find it nicer to use than soap :)
When it comes to Revolution face base products I much prefer the matte and glow foundations from XX Revolution, they feel lighter but still give good coverage.
I think that banana primer was separeting on your skin (maybe bc that moisturizer underneath) so that's why the foundation , powder and bronzer looked little bit cakey u know 🤔☺️ and the cakeyness was only on one side of the face! I have experienced that couple times also...
I love the painful lip plumper so much. I put it on and let it soak in and burn while doing the rest of my make-up then I dab it with a tissue before applying my lip liners and color. I love the extreme one most. Lately I've been really liking the plumping liquid lipstick from too faced too. It's beautiful and I have the smallest lips in the world so I love it hahaha

I have the Wet 'n Wild concealer and I find that if I let it sit for a few minutes (for example while doing my eyeshadow), it gives a ton of coverage!

I love the revolution fast base stick, it was my everyday foundation for sixth form. I have dry skin and I didn’t wear powder with it and it stayed on great with no cakiness 🤩💕
I still wear it sometimes with no powder… it’s so so but very decent
I was surprised to see Benefit's Hoola Bronzer on that list... it's a really good Bronzer! The W7 Honolulu Bronzer is a good dupe for it if you want something a little bit more affordable, and the Honolulu is a little bit darker as well.
right!? i quite like the hoola bronzer! the w7 is a bit red toned for me but it's a pretty decent dupe for sure!x

J* concealer is my favorite concealer. I'm 52 with super dry skin, lines, and a bit of crepeing and my under eyes look fantastic with that concealer. I set it with rude cosmetics mineral under eye powder and my eyes actually look smooth. It's a fantastic combo for me.
Is there any other concealers or foundations you recommend for more mature dry skin? I have such dry skin, nothing ever sits nicely, I look like krusty the klown, I end up not being able to wear make up 😭 I personally wouldnt buy Jeffree star, but any other suggestions are very much welcome 🙏🏼
I've been loving it cosmetics cc cream and also the urban decay hydromaniac foundation. Day wear I mix with a bit of charlotte tilbury primer and a bit of ct daily light moisturiser. If you want more coverage then just use as is. My skin is dry and dull.
Makeup is personal, so things work differently for everyone. Could the poor color payoff from the too faced palette be because it’s old, or was the quality poor to begin with? I hate the lip injection because it hurts so much and gives my sensitive lips a rash.

I LOVES the super shock highlighters but I use it more as a cream highlighter and I use a sponge to apply it and it looks amazing !! I use a similar application as you would with setting powder and a sponge

Man I don't think I've ever tried a base product by revolution. I only have a couple of their pallets. I guess when I spend coin on makeup I usually go for ridiculous priced things..

I am definitely one of those people who hate the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Foundation. It looks nice for about half a second and then it turns into crease city.
I agree with the Revolution opinions. While the prices are going up and they’re dappling in higher-end type products, the quality isn’t following suite. Their (more expensive) Tuxedo palette formed an eyeshadow lightning bolt in my crease within 4 hours! 😭😳
Can you do a full face of catkin makeup from amazon the packaging is amazing and so beautiful but I don't want want to buy products to just for the packaging, so could u test if its any good? Please I love your reviews and your honesty
Revolution is my ride or die 😂 I have so many of their products lol. Crazy how things can work SO differently for different people. Although I believe sometimes it’s just technique when it comes to eyeshadow or what product you use underneath - I understand though it can be annoying to the average consumer that wants something easy to slap on before work etc but I love layering different products and if something doesn’t have the most pigment I just use a plouise coloured base under it 😄 I’m also cheap so I make everything work until I use it up haha 😆 I used to hate the conceal and define foundation because I always applied what I see influencers do online but find foundation never looks like that in real life and now I use a moisturiser and literally 2 dots of the foundation it looks really skin like and it’s now my fave foundation 😂😂😂
the elf face setting mist snt a problem its light and dewy ans sets your makeup in place i think the nyx lip lingre is good too but without balm underneath

Lol I like conceal and define foundation from revolution . Good coverage stays on the skin throughout the day and no creasing or cakiness. I haven’t tried stick one! But looked nice 😊 xx
I don't like the born this way foundation,
I brought this as one of my first 'high end' foundation to use at my wedding, but it just doesn't look smooth, sits ontop of the skin and looks separating in some places and not the best coverage, I've use a beauty blender, a brush, even my fingers but it all does the same thing

I have almost the exact same ear piercings as you. My right ear has 4 lobes, a conch, 2 helix, and I used to have a rook. Left ear has 5 lobes, 4 with two stacked, and my daith.
That ELF setting spray is one of my favourites -went swimming one time & forgot I was wearing makeup, everything was still in place because of it 😬
I used to love Revolution Fast Base, not tried it recently though.
They bring out too many products too quickly. It encourages make up hoarding , which I have been guilty of. There's only so much make under can use at once!

I know you mentioned it in a video a while ago, but did you ever try the Unicorn Cosmetics bear brow gel. Dupe for the ABH as far as I know. May be worth anyone who really wants to try the ANH one but would rather spend £7 that £23! I like mine, find it nicer to use than soap :)
When it comes to Revolution face base products I much prefer the matte and glow foundations from XX Revolution, they feel lighter but still give good coverage.
Ole Hendrickson primer I apply straight after moisturiser and it applies perfectly

I think that banana primer was separeting on your skin (maybe bc that moisturizer underneath) so that's why the foundation , powder and bronzer looked little bit cakey u know 🤔☺️ and the cakeyness was only on one side of the face! I have experienced that couple times also...

I love the painful lip plumper so much. I put it on and let it soak in and burn while doing the rest of my make-up then I dab it with a tissue before applying my lip liners and color. I love the extreme one most. Lately I've been really liking the plumping liquid lipstick from too faced too. It's beautiful and I have the smallest lips in the world so I love it hahaha
