I literally just made a comment on the 20th place one asking how anyone could beat her, and then out of curiosity looked up first place. Oh, that's how she got 20th place, lmao.
This one did more impressive stunts but every time she attempted to dance it was painful. Neither have any rhythm so the music must be there strictly for atmosphere. That said, the 20th place girl's was more fluid. She was just visibly a novice.
Her moves were like basic this 1st place one was faster and better

I came from 11th place girl. I thought she's so good and should be 1st place, but after watching this I changed my mind. This girl just did it so much more smoothly and her movement goes so well with the music.
At 4:11 there is no music. I like it better without. The soundtrack us too noisy. Maybe the producer can fix that.

I saw the 11th place video and was like if she was 11th, what was 1st like? Lmao. 11th you could see had hitches in her routine but 1st is so smooth. Even putting her foot in the harness was simply elegant. Congrats to all her hard work.
TH-cam algorithm is showing me all sorts of sports I never knew existed but would've loved to try if I were a kid. So far I've got: Cyr, Slalom, Gymwheel, and that "artistic cycling" thing where multiple people do acrobatics on a bike.

To everyone thinking that the 20th place girl should've won, this girl showed much more fluidity and control. There are many parts where Grätsch's movements don't go together smoothly, such as when she is adjusting the black strap. This reminds me of gymnastics; though the Grätsch had skills that looked "cooler," her foundation still needs some work. If you do not execute the skills well, someone who does "simpler" skills properly will still be ranked higher. This is just my opinion and based off of my knowledge, and nonetheless, both are extremely talented :)

To those comparing this to 20th place, this girl had a finesse that the others lacked. Whenever I watch these, I, while incredibly impressed, feel that there’s usually some choppiness to the motions (which is really only to be expected) but the fact that this girl didn’t have it takes her performance to the next level!

I saw that Ellen had posted a video of someone doing this so I was curious & looked it up on TH-cam. Watching them do this is mesmerizing. I think it would be very ASMR like if we could hear the wheel moving across the ground.
Have any injuries ever occured when performing this sport, like when the contestants perform in front of the judges, have they ever got injured right then and there? Also, this looks fun-time to break my back bone XD

This is so mesmerizing . . . Reminds me of Cirque du Soleil. I would’ve absolutely adored learning this when I was in gymnastics during my childhood, though there’s probably a height range that is ideal and I would’ve been too tall . . .

They have smaller diameter wheels for shorter gymnasts. My cyr wheel was custom made as the ones at the gym where I learned were too large.
lol everyone has a wheel that's measured to their size. she used two different ones in this alone, so if you're short, you just get a smaller wheel

Controlled, stunning and elegant
It looks really beautiful, but really painful. I did very, very basic floor gymnastics as a kid, and I already managed to hurt myself on literally every occasion 😂 couldn't imagine surviving one try at this wheel 😂

I had the 20th place girl in my recommendation. So I searched for 1st, to see who she had come up against.they both did great, but I liked this music better, and this was more satisfying than the other girl.
My opinion.
But she makes a lot of little mistakes.
