Synchronised swimmers use underwater speakers so that the music is always audible. Granted sound is distorted thanks to differences in how sound travels in water, but the beat and basic rhythms are still easy to hear

For Artistic Swimming to be popular, the underwater scene must be shown when the athlete performs, the athlete must be photographed closely so that the athlete's skin from head to toe can be clearly seen, and the sound of entering the water can be clearly heard when entering the water. If you do, many people will see it and will not hide their excitement.
Yes. Hearing cheers while performing is good feedback. You know you are hitting what you should be. It’s working as intended. During my time as a performer and my youngest child’s current run, hearing feedback while performing feels amazing and is reassuring. And is appreciation for difficult skills.

The cheers dont help the athletes to hear and have their senses high in the performance. If they do a mistake for half a second they will loose valuable points.
