Thanks Dr. Anu Dalal Mam. Mam, my research area is process optimization and I wish & desire to shift to linear machines and control design. How to handle the situation?
The question is how to handle the situation right! See changing field comes with lots of challenges! I did the same! But what i can suggest is, don’t be afraid! Also, you can enter into any domain! All that is needed is, some rigorous reading! Just read, and keep on trying to understand things, concepts etc! If facing difficulty! Keep on searching google for basic key words, watch videos, just keep on grasping things! Over the time you’ll get comfortable with the field! You can easily do it! All the best!
Hello didi, guide se ladai ho gyi.. reference me kiska name du.. wo poochege guide k kyu nhi diya.. ek scientist institute k deri and other two apni Company se le lu, team lead, she is phd.. kya kru? Pls bta do..
Hello ma'am I'm pursuing my Ph.D. from India as JRF in the subject of accountancy, and I want to know how I can get admission to a postdoc in Canada after completing my Ph.D. and which universities are good for a postdoc.
1st slide title, 2nd for intro, 2-3 slides for some background or motivation behind the work, for intro! Then 4-5 slides for your work! 1 for conclusions/ future persective/ or what your work can contribute for further studies! Thanks slide (make 12-15 slides maximum) its a rough layout i can say! Focus mainly on delivering your content and entertaining their questions! Dont focus on selection! It will be the byproduct Good luck
D Phil is another abbreviation of PhD only (Doctor of Philosophy). Basically it D Phil is used in Oxford and some other britian universities, may be in Imperial College also (not very sure, about this but some colleges indeed). Mphil is masters of Philosophy! Some people do it before getting into PhD.
Hai .! Madam, I have an post doc interview for Auburn university on 21 this month; please suggest to me how to prepare 15 min ppt and some significant questions .Tq
Sum up your PhD work! In say 10-12 slides: intro, your work (what is the achievement of your work), conclusions/wayforward/publications acknowledgements. Whatever you’ll write in the slide pls prepare all questions around it, think your self as an examiner, see your each slide, and write down probable question one can ask! Preparw short answers for it. Significants question will be, why do you like the field, tell something more about your (highlight your research interest) align with the lab you’ll be joining. when they ask you to to ask questions, dont say you dont have any questions. Prepare atleast 2-3 question say on lab or just simple on PI front, his expectation from you! how open he is to ideas etc etc! I mean prepare self as you’ll take the interview . And note down what you want to say! rest significant question will be from your field, what goals you want to achieve! Why this particular lab! it can go on and on! BUT REMEMBER confidence is the KEY! Hope it helps!
Your own research background, kind of what existed in literature! Broad Title of your research work Existed literature The gaps And then come to what problem did you solve

Diksha, it's disheartening to hear about your recent negative academic experience. However, let's keep it brief. Whatever has occurred, it's okay, let it be, and be proud that you persevered without giving up. Regarding a recommendation letter, you can request one from anyone, as long as it's not specified to be from your PhD supervisor. If it's required, prepare a draft as requested by your supervisor and politely ask for their signature. As for the date of your thesis, it's inconsequential. As long as you have knowledge of your subject and a willingness to work and learn, that's all that matters. So, be confident. Only mention the delay if asked by an interviewer, explaining that it's a common practice at your university, often due to administrative hurdles. Best wishes, and prepare thoroughly.
@@Dr.AnuDalal thanks a lot Dr Anu.. I applied one week ago and I got reply next week. This was my first application and tomorrow is my first interview I have following all your content and have learnt a lot.. just one question,do I need to understand the project in greater detail. I have got the basic idea of what they are working.. I have read their papers but should I dig deep into their project or superficial background knowledge is enough. Thanks
@@dikshasharma8108 it depends. Sometimes it required. Sometimes the interviewer wants to check your understanding on your work. incase you dont know much about his work, simply say you’ll dip deep or study more on that.
