I drove a Dodge Daytona when I was in high school (graduated in 1997) and that has always been my favorite car. I now have two, 1986 2.2 turbo 5 speed and a 1990 2.5 TBI automatic transmission. I’m going to build the 1990 to be as good as new, using parts from my 1986. I am definitely going to copy your ideas about the two automatic transmissions. Thank you so much for your videos. They are perfect for my project. Keep up the good work.

Replying to the email from TH-cam didn’t work, should I go back to the video and post my progress there? I’m kinda old sorry

Hellz ya guy great vid I am just getting into an auto and those are some big differences. So in your opinion most parts are interchangeable. That 5 disc housing is a must. Also on eBay I found some very aggressive transfer gears for sale. They look very indestructible but noisy

Pretty much ALL the parts are interchangeable from what I saw. I basically have the entire 31TH now in my A413 apart from the tube that comes off the valve body.
Those transfer gears you are talking about are a popular upgrade for drag racing since the gears take such a massive load of torque when launching, if you can get them for cheap I'd snag them up if I were you!

How hard is it to pull the valve body from the 31th? Mine needs swapped cuz the kick down shaft is seized in the shifter

Pretty easy. Remove the shift lever from the rod coming out of the top of the trans. Then pull the pan off the trans, remove the filter, then there is a few bolts holding in the throttle body. There's also the parking pin that will either need unclipped from the VB or you can unbolt the piece that holds the parking pawl in place.
