You visited beaches of kerala, backwaters of kerala. Now welcome to the hillstations of kerala.....western ghats in Idukki....
As I couldn't find comments on birds you asked for, here it is. 15:29 and 16:06 those nested big birds are called 'Painted Stork'. They are inland migratory birds who come to Kerala from North India for nesting. Those white cranes you see at 16:10 onwards are Eastern Grey Herons, Little Egrets and Indian Smaller Egrets. We call them 'Perumunti', Chinnamunti and 'Cherumunti' in Malayalam. That blackbird sitting near the painted storks in 16:15 is an Indian Cormorant. Cormorants are very good at catching fish. You can see more of them at 16:36 including a smaller variant called Little Cormorants. Now, 16:25 those big birds on that Coconut tree are a rare species. They are called Spot-billed Pelicans. They are a very threatened species and started nesting in Kumarokam only since 2015. Before that their nesting was mainly in Andhra and Tamil Nadu. It is assumed climate change is a big reason for this shift in their nesting pattern. This is really wonderful and rare footage of spot-billed pelicans from Kerala.

I had been to South India in 2016 for second half of December, for two weeks and man every day was just another experience.. Coimbatore - Allepey - Allaphuza - Varkala - Kovalam - Thiruvananthapuram - Varkala - Vagamon - Thekkady - Munnar - Kodaikanal - Coimbatore and back to Mumbai. I could not help myself but repeat oftentimes.. No wonder why it's called "God's Own Country" .. truly feel blessed that I'm born in a country that is so rich in culture, heritage and natural beauty. ❤️
