I love the BCD. Had it for a few years, perfect for travel, minimalistic, I have an Air2 on it, a slightly longer primary with flexi hose. The BCD back pack fits all my gear except the fins. 4 air dumps, many places to add attachments, knife. torch etc. Best BCD on the market, especially for travel.
I got this bcd and used it 3 days ago for the first time. I have to say great stability, nice fit (little hard material whit only a swimming short) ofcourse their are a lot cheaper BCD’s available. But in my opinion it is an amazing bcd, a lot of extra features for attaching extra pockets, knives or lights. Every attachment does come with a price but my opinion. TOP OF THE LINE!!
It's five years ago, but I guess it's still the best travel bcd. Before I bought my Hollis s.m.s 75, I really thought about to buy this one, but the SMS 75 gove me more option: back mount and sidemount, but if I would travel more of course I would buy the Scubapro Hydros. ❤
hi Kat,I am using the T Sport Plus BCD that i bought it from my instructor.He just use it 3 times and sell it to me which he bought in UK.It is among his lovely BCD and i feel lucky to have it .He also obsessed with Scubapro and he used to work with Sealantis Dive Centre,the main Scubapro dealer in Malaysia.

I'm about to purchase the Hydros Pro for myself but I am torn between sizing and unable to try one as I have to order it.
What size did you get for yourself?
And what would you recommend if on the high end of XS-S and low end of M??

After trying 4 bcds i still believe hydros pro bcd is 1 of the best. I enjoy teaching with it. Sticks well to your body and when you turn or rotate you dont feel the tank moving on your back 😊. Very comfortable and dries up within 10mins.
I purchased the scubapro hyros pro in blue and the very first bcd I ever owned.
Great choice for the 1st ever BCD. You are spoiled now.
I have the 2019 mares quantum BCD I got it from PDR tried it out at the pool it was great can't wait to go diving at the end of the month.

I have been diving for 52 years. The Hydrospro is second to none.
Very nice video, I enjoyed watching it. Have you used it in training? I wonder how it is to remove it under water or at the surface and put it back on there again? Do you or other people have tried that?
I used it for most of my teaching for years, and it is definitely a little stickier than traditional bcds to remove and put on
I also use it as an instructor, but the removal and putting back on is not the most funny thing. Especially, in the dry suit it is extremely hard. But more difficult is removing the weights and put it back in. I consider to use a different one for the training, but will keep it for single bottle fun dives and guiding…

Go to one size up usually works best w/ Scubapro products. Check the wieght scale they offer.

Hi, What style of bcd do you think is best for diving instructor, jacket or wing/hybrids? Do you find it comfortable teaching in hydros pro?
I total agree with you that the X-Black is very comfortable to ware. Perfectly described from your side. The weight and size is not ideal for traveling. But with the X-Black I really enjoy diving and can forget the on e and only downside...
I think scubapro is best brand. What do you think about the scubapro mk11 c370 regulator? I am think about buying one for my trip in July.
I think for sure. What kind of diving are you interested in doing? How often do you go? What's your relative budget?
@@OceanPancake I would like to start in the ocean but most of my dives have been in a quarry. My incomes varies but if I were making more money, I could invest more into it. I am thinking about getting a high performance regulator but I don't to spend an arm and a leg to buy one. No pun intended. I am thinking about using my credit card but I recently paid it off. I am going to Florida to go diving. I have heard some regulators are hard to breath from. If I had my own regulator, I would know who has been using it and I can make adjustments to it.
Hey thanks for your video, so if weight and not traveling is not an issue would you keep diving with the Black or still prefer the Hydros? I'm looking for a new BCD as my trusted Glide 3000 from last century is dying...
I think I would prefer the black, it was honestly just so comfortable. It felt like I was getting a hug at all times. The pockets are also really spacious and you don't need to deflate to get to them easily

Thanks for the content. I have a ScubaPro question if you don't mind. I don't find many mentions of them on searches...? I haven't been diving in 20 years - back then they were huge. But searching around seems that the company has taken the back burner. Other companies pop up that I'm not familiar with as much. Not to mention the tech has gone crazy compared to what I had back then. Looking to buy new gear is a nightmare with all the options. So I went straight to what I was familiar with. But it seems like, so far, I better do a ton of reading. My old reg was a Mares and I'll probably go with that again. But I feel like a complete noob all over from scratch. Any thoughts are welcome. From anyone.
It is pretty overwhelming with the amount of equipment. I would recommend going into a store and chatting to someone knowleadgeble there, unfortunately there are often staff which are told to sell rather than to educate. What kind of gear are you interested in? For travelling? For cold water diving?Could you tell me a little more? I would honestly reccomend getting a scubapro regulator for sure, they are future proof and I saw regulators coming in from the 70s which we were still able to service and they functioned well. A mk21-s560 for a fully sealed, balanced, regulator perfect for any conditions. In terms of BCDs, if you like a traditional jacket style, you cant go wrong with a glide-x, it's nice and comfortable and has all you need.
Same here bud😂. I sold all my gear years ago and have renewed interest. Ive been driving myself crazy researching.....my wife too she tells me😂. I had scubapro regulator and the classic BC. Computers?🤦🤷♂️. No dive tables?😳 Dont get me wrong, I like th idea a lot.......but researching and deciding.....ugh. What did you end up buying? Or are you still researching?😂🤣

is it worth to upgrade from scubapro x-force to this BCD?
I would honestly keep the X force one. It's a good BCD! They are also coming out with a jacket style made out from the same material!

Go with the steel backplate and wing, more rigid, more versatile, and customizable.
