There is two different clock icons in iOS 6.
The one shown here and a grey and white one which utilized the Swiss railway clock design.
That one was only used on iPads.

I don’t understand all the talk about oversimplification. I’m indifferent to it. On one hand, I think they did looked better before but on the other had, It’s really the companies choice and at this point I don’t see why they would go back. As times change I can see them changing them again, but not back to skeuomorphism.
