Under fc rules I think he only lost one fight and that was a rematch with hoost who he beat a year or so earlier. But that second fight with hoost when he lost was on him for getting all big. Look at the Jet here then look at him in 94. He all of a sudden went from 177 lbs to 210 solid muscle. I understand he was moving to k-1 to fight at heavyweight and everyone in k-1 was juiced to the gills . But he was so much better at lighter weight. But all the fights and money outside fighting Dennis Alexio were at heavyweight in the K-1. Alexio didn’t have to go to Japan because he was already getting 150k per fight to stay in fc rules. Alexio didn’t ever have to leave Hawaii if he didn’t want . Plenty of pka and pkc promoters will willing to pay Alexio to headline cards . Alexio was the only American kickboxer who did ppv numbers and had legit drawing power in the USA. His fight with Stan and Cikatic did good ppv buys . He also sold out that arena in Hawaii when he wanted to stay home and knock out cans. I give Roufus credit for fighting anyone and everyone under all rule sets. But if I was Alexio I would of did the same. Why risk getting beat if you are already getting paid better than everyone else under any rules if you can stay under fc rules and bank.

His boxing, movement and creativity was ahead of it's time. I know, I was doing pretty well Kickboxing in 1988. My gym was strictly a fight gym, for fighters only. Didn't last long. 99.9 %of the people wanted to do the fake martial arts, and pretend.

Roufus is a very good technician with an extraordinary track record. He was already dishing it out between the ropes when most of his actual opponents (90's) were still wearing diapers
