On the subject of Danzig I've been a fan since high school and I graduated in 92 misfits for the coolest and don't forget his band samhain he's just a badass he's got Jim Morrison and a little bit of Elvis in them he really does some Elvis songs I'm the one sounds just like him check that out thanks he also dose Jhonny cash they wrote a song together it was his idol should check it out

I agree „how the gods kill“ is one of their best, but „she rides“ is the holy grail for me - it’s blues, rock n roll, it’s pure sex! Danzig is a legend!!! One of the main reasons I love him, is because he has no problem being an "asshole"... fuck the haters.... your favorite dark band is highly influenced by this one man
I followed Danzig on his Twitter feed for a while, before he left. He has a fake tweeter as well. I remember first hearing the Misfits a very long time ago and nobody I talked to at the squat would tell me who they where. I sang the song at the local alternative record shop and they let me listen to The Misfits and that was the song I heard. Since then I've seen Danzig a lot of times live. He reminds me much more of Morrison than of Elvis, to which people compare him a lot. I really dislike his Elvis covers. Btw, you can hear he has a great voice (I think it is a falset tenor) with the Misfits, Return of the fly, Hybrid moments, etc. God is supposed to be almighty and all knowing, past, present and future. So everytime God gives an order, it's known in advance that people will fail or incidently don't fail. Still he punishes. I think you articulated it very well, Danzig hates the hypocrisy in religion and the forgiveness for one who says hail mary's for something bad and no forgiveness for the person who doesn't say them for something less. Also, I think he is referring to all the killing done in the name of God. Is that good? And isn't there a great gap between the God portrated in the old testament and the God in the new testament? It seems like they are complete different entities! Never take anybody's word for it, go explore. Well, maybe Danzig would like to punch me in the face as well ;) :D Btw, are you interested in melodic music with female growls? I reccommend 'Your's is an empty hope'-Nightwish.
