Animatic for @tomcardy1 's 'Business Man.' Made by me and my friend Josh Pulsipher. Original Song: • Business Man Patreon link: patreon.com/andythedrewbear_art
@@ProfessionalDumbss I’m happy to see that people are liking the barista inclusion, it’s probably my biggest addition that wasn’t in the original song.
It really doesn't help taht he has to drive a lot and chose an inconspicuous black van to transport his presentation materials. And then his best friend who happens to be a cop kills his wife for some reason. Officer Jackson is really unlucky.
Backstory: Officer Jackson's wife gets shot by the cartel and dies. Jackson wanted to investigate but was forbidden since he was too close to the case. He decides to investigate on his own anyway and plans a meeting with the most likely suspects. He convinces his sniper friend, Dwink Bexon by either calling in a favor or pleading with the fact that Jackson made Dwink the best man at his wedding. Dwink is probably the friend in the group that everyone distances from and talks shit about behind their back so he has been holding a lot of resentment. He killed Jackson's wife to get back at them for making fun of his name at the wedding and used the cartel to cover it up. Jackson was getting too close to the truth so Dwink went along with his revenge plot, despite possibly getting into a lot of trouble with the higher ups, hoping that it would get Jackson to stop looking.
(gasp) So he really technically _wasn't_ a cop, and accidentally got his revenge by disowning his traitor best man before being gunned down in a sting?
The way the expressions perfectly matched a cartoony version of everything everyone was saying really added a lot to the song. Way to elevate a piece with your work.
Can someone tag Tom Cardy?? This is incredible. You added so many fun details. I love Ben flashing his own wedding ring and when Bill and Ben start trying to patiently explain why this plan isn’t working
this made me understand parts of the lyrics I'd never quite understood before (non native English speaker here), which I think speaks volumes about how good your story telling is! Very effective and fun art style (I especially liked the shape of the co-a-ehm, business man legs) and perfectly coordinated with the music, both in rhytm, lyrics and general vibe
What actually happened is I drew all the characters separately from the background in Toon Boom. My friend made the 3d models afterward and I didn’t want to redraw the characters so I just took screenshots of the 3d model and imported them into the animatic.
Wonderful animatic!! I feel like this deserves more views, and i feel like, like the perception check animation, will get picked up by Tom Cardy! But great work! I'm excited to see if there'll be an animation!
How, with a video reaching 21K views, and an amazing art style, do you ONLY have 200 subscribers???? Now I'm undoubtedly one of them, but you deserve so much more attention!
I've been meaning to make an animatic of this song since forever and you pretty much nailed everything I was hoping do do in it, up to and including the eerily contextual business slides LMAO
pretty cool animation, but i noticed a mistake. for some reason, business man jackson is listed as "officer jackson" at the end? dude's not a cop, he's a business man.
You can tell that the businessman isn't a cop by how he tells the sniper to take the shot and then immediately gets in really close to the target and starts dancing around. Not cop behavior.
I love how I’m pretty sure it’s a barista just doesn’t care at all not payed enough

*paid
That's every barista NGL 😅
@@Andythedrew1 can you sing money?
Its really unfortunate that the jacksons decided to name their child officer, must really make sales difficult
Agreed, thanks to his dumb name he needs to start every conversation by telling people he is not a cop!

Officer Jackson is really unlucky.
@@jasperzanovich2504 Carrying a police radio and pistol in case his wife's murderer comes back also doesn't help his case of not looking like a cop.
Now we just need Tom to see this so he can hire you to make the official version!
I absolutely adore bill and ben lol, they seem remarkably chill
@@Seakobra they’re best friends
I don't think they're even criminals, I think they just came to this coffee shop for a business seminar.
@@Andythedrew1the important question is ARE THEY SINGLE

@@cakeisthebestintheworld phenomenal
I have no idea what you mean, this Jackson guy is definitely not a cop. Look at how businessy he looks!
(gasp) So he really technically _wasn't_ a cop, and accidentally got his revenge by disowning his traitor best man before being gunned down in a sting?
wow.
I always wondered why Dwink was both the best man at his wedding and the person that kill his wife.
Enjoying:

The thumbmail goes hard!!
on the one hand, not very good at being undercover
on the other hand, complete dedication to the role while undercover
what fully committing to a bit in disco elysium feels like
Im a very glad youtube brought me this marvellous visualisation
this is like if a cop show was made in the style of phineas and ferb
Can someone tag Tom Cardy?? This is incredible. You added so many fun details. I love Ben flashing his own wedding ring and when Bill and Ben start trying to patiently explain why this plan isn’t working
Love the barista in the background smoking 😂 def not paid enough for this
It is both weird and amazing that this video is how I find out that there's a full version of this song.
it was part of the Artificial Intelligence album!
i absolutely adore these character designs lmao, 100000/10 all around

god I love the barista in the background who's just like I'm not dealing with this just do your thing
this has no BUSINESS being this good.
/self-five

good one
I love that the two criminals (presumably) are named after characters from a different Tom Cardy song
2:48 - To be clear, his first name is "Officer". That's not his title or anything.
He's not a cop.
Barista just casually walking around... Yeah... She'd seen wierder shit...
this is one of my fav Cardy songs. THanks for this XD
It's a crime we never got a full video of this. So glad you made this
I love the super animated poses with the deadpan expressions
Kids make animations in eevee...
Real men make animations in cyclces...
But it takes a true legend to make an animation in viewport
Outstanding work
This renderer is called Workbench

@@Andythedrew1 Hey, I'm not complaining, I love this video
@@MAKiTHappenthanks for watching!
Absolute MASTERPIECE I LOVE YOU FOR MAKING THIS!!
omg yesss ive been waiting for ages to see this visualised - amazing!!!
YEA! Someone made a full animatic to this! Great design work, I love this
I check back here near enough every day to see if Tom has acknowledged just how amazing this animation is (and to watch it for the millionth time)
Absolutley phenomenal. I am in love with this art style
i love how unbothered the barista is 👍
Wow this is crazy good! Nice to see some full animations of Business Man
Very funny. Do your thing algorithm.
Very nice Work. Tom should see this
this was an amazing animatic!! i love officer jackson's ✨fabulous shoes✨, and the character profiles at the end! well done!!
My man really channeling good all Harry Dubois
I've been looking for a full animation of this song for ages! Thank you!
Finally, an animation of the best tom cardy song!!!! Great job :D
The barista not paying attention makes this seem like one man’s schizophrenic episode
This is absolutely incredible.
This is just an average Tuesday for that barista.
This is very good. I like how you’ve visualized the characters. Good work!
A nice little detail would be the sniper laser tracing behind the guys head movement. Really great stuff!!!
I hope the creator sees this!
another banger from andy the drew
Making this excellent animatic for a Tom Cardy video that's been needing one for too long is a weird way to prove you're not a cop.
Wonderful animatic!! I feel like this deserves more views, and i feel like, like the perception check animation, will get picked up by Tom Cardy! But great work! I'm excited to see if there'll be an animation!

I fucking LOVE the 'hello, my name is Dwink Bexon' sticker and I'm surprised nobody else commented about it
I did not know how badly I needed this 😂😂😂
Great animation! I love this song and have been searching for more animated songs and this takes the cake out of all of them. Keep it up!
Speaking as a barista, I would also not care whatsoever about what's going on in the cafe
The barista consistently almost reacting to things in the foreground, then just boredly going about her job is honestly hilarious.
your character designs are so fun and unique to watch animated! cant wait to see more!!!

splendid execution!
i love seeing more artists adding to tom cardy's songs theyre so fun :)))
that was epic
I've always visualised the "shot in both legs" part as Ace Ventura screaming at the two spears in his knees.
Definitely Aunty Donna inspired.
i adore this omg
This is dope! Perfect fit for the song.
That cop has *great* legs
Well, before they got shot
very nice.
Your average deception in d&d
wow thats way little than i expected, good luck on your channel!

Love this
Beautiful.
This is really good!
I like this. Thank you
the not even rendered background bring me joy and I don't know why.
The criminals were Bill and Ben? Crazy!
Will this become a full animation??? I'd give ANYTHING to see it as one
This is profoundly stupid in the best way possible
Love these characters, great designs!
IM CRYING. THE 3D STOOL
What an absolute godsend
My favorite part of this song is the not-cop claiming Money by Pink Floyd is a 'business song'.
You can tell that the businessman isn't a cop by how he tells the sniper to take the shot and then immediately gets in really close to the target and starts dancing around. Not cop behavior.
I sure hope bill hasn’t done anything to disturb his friendship with Ben…..
Ok this is addictive
THIS is how I find out Tom did a longer version!
That was cool
This gives me Phineas and Ferb energy and I adore it
Let’s go! :)
This Comment was here, before the fame was.
Bill and Ben wouldn't happen to host a kid's TV show, would they?
what if he's just very self concious about not being a cop yet despite all his efforts, and thus had to get through business land as his final resort?

Why does this feel like something out of Disco Elysium
So good. I keep forgetting there's a full version of this song!
UNDERRATED AND PEAK
Damn so this is what dr coomer and benry got up to after black mesa
Honestly I can totally see an animatic of this with Benrey and Forzen
This is really good👍
Only 53 views? TH-cam fix this now
