- A&Z #633 - Atlas vs Spain's biggest burger patty named the "Do You Want To Be Immortal?" Hamburguesa Challenge at Bentley's in Madrid, Spain (Day #30 / Challenge #32). Hey everybody!! It's day #30 of our 18-Country 2018 Summer Tour and for this food challenge I'm at the Princesa location of Bentley's in central Madrid, Spain. I will be trying to eat a 3.2kg (7lbs) hamburguesa patty plus a regular-sized bun and lots of picante toppings!! Thanks to Bentley's staff for their wonderful hospitality, and thanks to everyone who came that day to watch and meet us!! Bentley’s Hamburguesa Picante Record Challenge (€108):
- To win this challenge, you must break the current burger patty record.
- As for toppings, you get to pick whichever burger you want from the menu.
- There is no set time limit, and everything just has to be finished in one sitting.
- The bun they use is small and the weight of toppings depends on your burger choice.
- The current patty size record as of 8/26/2018 is 3.2 kg (7 lbs).
- To win the challenge you must finish a burger patty weighing 3.3 kg or greater.
- This challenge is more to feed your ego than anything. It’s not free if you finish.
- You win a sweet t-shirt and your photo is displayed at all 5 Bentley’s locations.
- Your photo sits on the front counter of each location proclaiming your record.
- Note: Bentley’s does have a smaller 1kg burger challenge if you are interested.

Hey everyone thanks for watching the video!! 2 things!! #1 I didn't actually pay for the burger myself, which is why I still turned my hat around. #2 Please don't let this video reflect Bentley's food as a whole, since the kitchen was rushed and not used to cooking a burger patty of that magnitude. It all worked out in the end and their smaller burgers are absolutely delicious (and fully cooked lol)!! If you live in the area or go to Madrid on a trip/vacation, there are five locations and their menu burgers are surely recommended!!
huge beef is hard to prepare, they should have used a thermometer for internal temps, you could have got sick with ground beef, getting sick in europe is not something to do. not sure of the testing they do in spain, but i used to be in QC for a biotech company, had to check all bovine related media for country of origin, mad cow and all...

And when it came back stir-fried, it was STILL RAW. There's no excuse for that. People can get sick from eating that. They shouldn't offer that challenge and the cooks should be fired and the restaurant closed for causing a health hazard. Absolutely shameful and disgusting.
In a later video after eating this Randy talks about violent Diarrhea, tremors, spewing chunks, stomach swelling and cramps, Chode bloating, heavy belching with indigestion, esophageal burning, case of gout, with mild jaundice. You the man Randy! Keep it up!

@@weezerfan999 and in other places they strictly eat well done meats of all kinds so what's the point? It's not standard in our culture the same culture that made cheeseburgers popular. Not to mention they probably buy cheap ground beef that's delivered. I doubt they are grinding the cuts of meat into ground beef themselves. If they are it's not as big of a deal but I just highly doubt it.
Just because some African tribes will eat raw meats and drink the blood doesn't mean we should. They have built up a tolerance to that during many generations doing the same thing as those before them. We don't have those same tolerances not to mention our food isn't as healthy. The food the masses eat comes from sick dying animals that were in horrible health possibly diseased and fed garbage.

It won't cook on their griddle in that size. It needs to be browned on the griddle on both sides then in an oven like a meatloaf to finish cooking through, even an amature can figure that out. What they did was inexcusable. Only way something like that happens is if they don't have a thermometer and that would mean they don't take food safety seriously. They make a 2 kg burger and they cook it like a quarter pounder. Hells no.

8 additional minutes of cooking and some of it was STILL med rare! My stomach churned throughout this whole thing. Finishing this didn't make you a champ, not getting upset being served completely raw and inedible meat without making waves makes you a champ! I get it's size and that it was rushed, but man... no thank you.

@@rdu239 Well if they ground up fresh beef for the burger then it would be okay to serve it raw assuming the grinder was clean. Beef that is pre-ground like at the supermarket is the type that is much more highly prone to bacterial contamination, because of the sheer amount of meat that is usually processed through the same grinders.

in Barcelona we had a Pan full of Paella .. 20 euros for each person .. that was not even a plate full, and most was the rice. (~90%)
