The coolest thing is that someone like me, in my late 50's who had never heard this song previously, was pulled into this song and performance immediately. I'm a huge fan because I admire men that love and care for their family. Bodie reminds me of a Supertones singer I used to listen to back in the day. I agree with Gwen, he has an alternative twist to his soulful pop voice and with such huge powerhouse singers in the final 10, I think he’d do great distinguishing himself by finding alternative songs or adding alternative touches. Bodie can sing softly and tenderly that powerhouse sings fall flat on sometimes and so he has an advantage there. If he did a song by someone like twenty one pilots (someone in his sort of wheelhouse with alternative rock touches) that would be epic!!! Really so thrilled to have Bodie at the top!

My pick from Day One. This was the type of performance that wins the Voice. It was easily the best performance of the night. This was not a singing show level performance. It was a superstar level performance.
Many talented singers this season (love Parijita, Kim and Justin), but every time Bodie opens his mouth he gets under my skin. There's something about him. He sings with his whole soul, and I feel all of it. Rooting for him for the win for that reason.
It was a solid vocal performance but, this song has zero key changes. The whole song is in the key of D. There is one non-diatonic chord (F# major) before the chorus, but still, no key changes in the song itself.

Kim is a powerful singer in the tradition of Aretha Franklin. She’s great. She has a lot of tools. Technically, she is as sound as they come, but she is still learning her craft in my opinion. Morgan is the most versatile singer of the season in my opinion. I think she can sing any song and sound good. Justin is the dark horse. He gives a solid performance every week. It’s hard to believe he was a one chair turn. I don’t see any of the Top 10 even close. I would actually pick those 4 in that order for the final.
You Are On Point! Unfortunately, after these contestants leave the voice, and even the Winner, you really never hear from them again. Maybe 1 in literally a Thousand. It takes tremendous talent, 24/7 Hard Work, being Humble, finding the right agent, and a whole lot of Luck!! Too many of these Artists get caught up in the hype of the Voice Show and think that everything is just going to go their way. NOT In The Real World, NO WAY NO HOW!!!
