When I lived in Cincinnati 15 years ago, it was very affordable. It was a nice place to live, and nice on my wallet. Nowadays I can't even rent a parking space for what I paid for a one-bedroom apartment in 2009. I love to visit Cincinnati, I love the food, I love this city, the zoo, the sights, the Reds and Bengals, etc. But I would never live there again. It's simply gotten both too expensive and too liberal for my liking.
And people who are priced out of cities like Nashville end up coming to cities like Cincinnati, Louisville, and Indianapolis. Therefore, along with demand, the price of the supply goes up.
America has never and will never care about anyone who rents a property. It’s not a problem just for “the poor” either. It’s the majority of people who have to deal with slumlords - because the majority of landlords are slumlords. It should be a violation of civil human rights as well as a federal crime to raise rent multiples times a year and multiple times within five years and actively REFUSE to upgrade AND PROPERLY MAINTAIN each INDIVIDUAL unit to INCREASE the value of said property. There is NO logical OR financial incentive or reason for ANY property to go through multiple increases in payment while undergoing ZERO actual structural upgrading. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you THINK OR FEEL - everything has a value. And ONLY things that are properly maintained and upgraded are considered high in value and INCREASE in value. Even historical artifacts - even fossils - are maintained and CONSISTENTLY updated with proper HOUSING - so as to preserve and increase their value. The majority of landlords in the United States REFUSE TO DO THIS. They should be held not just professionally but PERSONALLY legally liable for violating basic human rights, discriminatory behaviors and violating federal standards which SHOULD include the proper and humane treatment of citizens. But that’s asking too much from the self proclaimed “greatest country in the world.” 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

People in California laughing at this when rent is $3-4000+…and it’s San Diego that’s the highest right now.
And its still slums inner city housing is filled with crime mess critters throughout the city.
I guess this news channel hasn't heard of nashville rent went up even higher
yes! this news channel is clearly carrying out the deeds of the lizard overlords trying to cover up the rising rent that only occurs in Nashville, TN!
