Fascinating history of J.C. Newman! Love seeing the craftsmanship behind these hand-rolled cigars. Makes you appreciate the skill involved even more.
I'm thrilled to witness this. The Newmans are a treasure in our industry, and that building stands as a timeless testament
Agree. Very nice family as well!
Thank you to you guys and to Pete Johnson for producing a further chapter into the incredible legacy of the cigar industry. I’ve been fortunate as an employee of Corona Cigar Co to witness the fruition of Jeff’s passion for FL grown tobacco and to see the support from the Newman family firsthand. Every year they graciously invite all employees to come to the factory for a personal tour, rundown and gifts of their cigars, and also allow us to apply by hand FL grown tobaccos to the American cigar. May the Newmans have much continued success and may America regain her opportunity to shine as a producer of premium cigars.
great history, great filming and editing team, hopefully jc newman cigar can continue to exist and thrive. their farm and factory looks good and rich in history and heritage, lovely
Stories like this one should be told more often. I applaud all that were involved and look forward to future productions.
The American is a great cigar. At first I didn’t like it but the more I smoke it the more I love it. I love the idea and the cigar itself. Great job, Drew!
Steve and Jesse you guys produce very entertaining content incredible job! Can’t wait for future episodes! Well done
I’m very new into this world of cigars and I’m absolutely loving getting myself educated about all of this great history. Makes me appreciate cigars that much more.
Fantastic story telling! Steve it was great to talk with you in Vegas, I could see the passion you have for the industry and this is a great showing of that passion!
I am in heaven. I love JC NEWMAN cigar co. And the natural USA FLORIDA, CONNECTICUT, AND PENNSYLVANIA TOBACCOS used in "THE AMERICAN" . Thank you! Just simply, THANK YOU!
This is such an amazing story of the history of J.C. Newman . I absolutely love their cigars . It gives me a newfound insight . Now, every time that I enjoy one of their cigars, I will enjoy the history and everything that has gone into it as well .
I have so much respect for the Newman family. Years ago I had an issue with a diamond crown humidor and Bobby himself called me to make it right. That tells me how much they care and now they have a loyal customer.
This is the best documentation video ever. I got given J.C. Newman their flowers. The real deal
2nd video I have seen on this family J.C.Newman…I love what their story, looks like I need to try their cigars…
Thank you J.C Newman for your dedication to your family’s legacy of cigar making and thank you Drew for all you do in lobbying to our government and preserving yours and our rights to enjoy premium cigars today. 🙌🏼🔥🔥🙌🏼
I've never smoked a JC Newmann cigar. Might be time to change that. I want to support what they've done in keeping the american cigar industry alive.
I just moved south of Tampa and loved visiting the JC Newman factory, great tour. I love the 6 x 60 Maduro Brickhouse Cigars, they have become my go to.
Keep making these videos I just finally took the dive into cigars after years of dabbling in and out of them. The history just fascinating to me and I’m hungry for more
The entire Newman family are the salt of the earth. They are the example of what it means to be a leader of an industry both in terms of success and as a people in general.
Julius Caesar was the one that got me into top premium cigars love um
Thank you so much Drew , Eric and Bobby for the priceless JC Newman history
Some of my favorite cigars.
And roots in Cleveland.
What’s not to love?
Smoking on a Quorum Robusto Naturale this morning. I am really new to cigars and they were 40 dollars for a pack of 20. 2 dollar cigar that goes foot to foot with more expensive sticks. Love the coffee, pepper, grass notes that come off it. Thank you for sharing!
I was here for the premiere. Thank you JC Newman Cigars and Mike Zucker for introducing me to this wonderful family

@bdeditch very interesting, its to bad you couldn't grow more cigar tobacco. This has to be the best movie I have seen about the history of cigars made in USA.

Currently reading Ybor City: Crucible of the Latina South by Sarah McNamara. I learned a lot about what it was like being a ybor city cigar worker!

This is an incredible episode and we are so proud to have rich stories like this in Tampa.
Next week I'm buying a box of "Americans" and one day I will visit ybor and the factory where that cigar was rolled and shake the hands of the family who put in the work on my behave to enjoy this American pastime.

I guess I'll be the asshole who addresses the elephant in the room. The 2nd documentary is nothing, but, a continuation of the Newman's last movie. I learned a lot from the 1st Hand Rolled movie. This 2nd installment just re-summarized most of what I already knew. Should've called it "The History of Cigars II."
The first movie was a bird's eye view of the entire cigar industry, and a history lesson from the 1950's to present day. It only touched very briefly on a few manufactures.
This is the first episode of the followup Hand Rolled docuseries, where we tell the full story of one manufacturer per episode. This way, you get an in depth look into a manufactures history, the area they represent and everything they've gone through to bring you the cigars you love from their company. Because the Newmans also work closely with fighting regulations, there is some overlap from the first documentary. You're not an asshole, you were just the only one that didn't understand what was happening.
@@HandRolled You didn't read my comment all the way. I'm not talking about the 1st Hand Rolled movie. I'm talking about the History of Cigars movie .
Pretty mid
@tomasinodisalvo yay J.C. Newman!
