- The Galapagos is an amazing place where animals can live without fear of humans. The conservation efforts by Ecuador have created a truly magical place. Tourism is strictly limited, even on the islands there's a limit to how many people can visit at one time. All of this is what makes the Galapagos unique where animals can just live and reproduce in peace.
I was lucky enough to be invited by National Geographic to join one of their cruises to the Galapagos, even better it was a photo cruise with Pulitzer Prize winning National Geographic photographer Jay Dickman, as well as a few other Nat Geo photo instructors and local naturalists.
Here are my top ten reasons for visiting the Galapagos with National Geographic!

Only a matter of time and humans will ruin it all. So sad
They're doing a great job with conservation, limiting the number of tourists, bringing back extinct species at the Darwin Center. It seems to be doing pretty well compared to other places in the world.
