By doing videos like this one, you give our customers a better understanding of what it is we do to make our products look the way they do. Not only are we actually making the product, we are designing our labels and doing the packaging ourselves! Thanks Karen...your fab! :)
Beautiful fabric Karen. I am a fabriholic and love the floral fabrics. I like using my pinking shears too. Makes such a nice finished edge. What a wonderful way to dress up your body butter jars. High end look and oh so chic.
I always look forward to your videos no matter what they are. I'm new to soap making and you are an inspiration. Every time I watch one of your videos, I'm motivated to let my creativity run wild. Thank you so much. Your passion is contagious.
They are lovely, Karen, just perfect. Agree about the Shea butter, it is just so wonderful for the skin. Once people try it they just can't stop using it and come back again and again (which is of course what we all want, isn't it?). Love your Aloe Vera gel too, Karen.
By Gor you are talented ! Pouring two-fisted from those big bowls into those little jars (by comparison) Wow ! I love that fabric - its the same as your aprons. Adorable ! Is that police "Do Not Cross" crime scene tape roll ? heheh Cutting circles, aiming the camera beautifully, stirring the pot with the right foot, wrapping pkgs with the left foot, changing channels on the telly with yer chin, tying bows with yer teeth ! PERFECT JOB ! AMAZING ! You Rock Karen !
Your shea butter is the best! My son has terrible eczema and it is the only thing he can use when his skin is raw. Unlike commercial products, they don't sting him.
Beautiful fabric, love the green jars! Very feminine! Great use of fabric to prevent customers from spoiling the contents. I will have to keep that in mind....I have boxes & boxes of of fabric. I've only seen it used that way on homemade jams & such.
@EdensSecret1 Have you ever considered adding a shrinkwrap ring, just around the lids, underneath the fabric, or even without the fabric? I'd be fried at such inconsideration, too. That product then becomes unsellable...a loss. At best, used as another tester.
@EdensSecret1 The good thing about piping (apart from the beauty it adds) is also that if people didn't watch the videos and they see the shea butter filled jars in a shop, they won't know how liquidy or creamy it is before buying it. With piping you see the structure through the glas and you know a little bit how creamy or liquidy the product might be if you've never bought it before. If it is too liquid it won't hold the pipingform in the jar and it will just stick to the glas like mayonaise.
I have your Angel Skin butter and I love, love, love it sooooo much!! My husband loves it too! :) I just can't get enough of it really!! lol I would like to try another scent but I can't imagine not having Angel Skin! I need a 12 step program I think. :) Kelly
Shea butter is awesome! I use it is my hair, on my body, and try to incorporate it in as many as my products as possible. It is a bit pricey but so worth it!
A bit of a Faf??????? You are so funny!! I know this is probably a silly question but here goes anyway- Do you pour with 2 jugs for the colour or are their different ingredients in each jug? I remember when i was first married i used to make my own jam,and pickles and chutneys, all the sterilizing jars and muckin about . I've had to have the heater on at night , ridiculous for January . Roll on Summer i say!! Beautiful work as always Lovey
These hexagonal jars are in Wilko in the UK for just £3 for a set of 12. Is that where you purchased them from Karen? I purchased a set for some of my own products. Very good value.
Wow Karen, these are so gorgeous! I use the same jars for my products with a nice shaped label but that's it. The way you decorate them is so much better! I really love them. :) Hugsx
Thank you very much for replying to me and passing on that information on the labels. I'm a big fan of your work. I could listen to you all day, love your accent. Your work inspires me & my business. Blessings to you!
These are so beautiful! You put such care into your products!! I thank you for telling shae butter is a sunscreen. Even if it is only a little bit I will use it now. I am allergic to sunscreens! So thank you! :) Have a wonderful weekend!!!
haha i just spoke about ordering some of these in reply to your comment on the other vid:D they look so luxurious Karen, i can't wait! Love watching you make your products:)
I love your videos. Your very talented!! I really love your labels! How did you come across such a pretty label for the jars? I've been looking for labels that wrap around my jars for gifts. I don't know where to look?
Hello, Your work is beautiful and stunning as always. Love that you share. Beautifully presented products. Must order from you one day. Might be best to do that when it's cooler here in Canada. May I ask what software you use to make your labels please? That's my biggest dilemma right now. Thanks and cheers to your ongoing success!
have you ever though of trying to coppycat the discontinued boots botanics body butter ? it was a holy grail product for soo meany pl i payed 40 quid for an old stok one on ebay lol i no if u did try it and got the word out pl will go crazy for it . it was like a lip balm texture and came in a jiant tub dunno if ur allowed to copycat discontinued products but worth a comment x
So Lovely ! Did you ever consider getting a die cutter machine? you can cut out up to 6 fabric circles perfectly. I have a cricut machine and it cuts out stuff for scrapbooking and might be good for cutting out your labels. Could save you a ton of time. Just an idea. It snowed here in Utah today. I am soooo ready for spring!!
May I ask pls, do you need to have a license for producing and selling anything related to soap, body butters and etc??? And if yes is it complicated to fulfill the requirements??? Thank you.
Karen, watching these old videos is priceless. You packaged beautifully from the very beginning! Just lovely.

they are adorable.. I love that you did the double pour in the jar
Very nice. But how long best before dates do body butters have? some say 6 months and some say lontger. And do these have to cure?
You also can fold the fabric and then make a circle and cut the whole fabric in one cut and have the 6 circles in one effort.
I love the effect of the double-pour! Beautiful, beautiful!

Just lovely Karen and I agree with all the comments below especially the one about the dislike button.xx
You can also use napkins with a nice print, that is cheaper.
It is a long video but fun to watch and I would like to hear your chatting.

Is there any regulations on producing in one's home such as sanitation regulations...gloves etc?
Yes, please make a video of how you finalize your body butter.

Beautiful Karen! It snowed here today, supposed to be off and on for a few days I hear.
Just curious why you're pouring from two separate jugs?

In the UK we have to have safety assessments done on each recipe to make sure they are safe for the skin. Overseas I don't know
EdensSecret1 Thank you for replying and for the information ☺
Actually I just realised I said the UK, but the tules are for the EU. It seems complicated, but it's not once you know how
