Not your typical runner audience but love that you review so many types of shoes! It has helped me so much as I try to find comfortable shoes. So cool that the ads shown for your channel are now mostly shoe companies, you are getting noticed! Saucony Hurricane is 10x more comfortable than the Hoka Bondi. I have tried almost every Hoka shoe and none of the Hoka shoes even come close to any Brooks or Saucony shoe for walking. I have sensitive feet and I can feel every seam in the Hokas. And they are HARD!
Are you talking about the Old Brooks and Old Saucony, when the Hoka Clifton and Bondai was released, it was the softest and lightest running shoes around, compare to the Brooks and Saucony at that time ! the problem with Hoka now is, everyone alreday catched up with Hoka and most of them are much better than the Hokas, either Clifton or Bondai.
There is a cast of characters getting the cameo in. One would assume that as the channel gets more porpular, the amount of random cameos in the background will increase. Fast forward a few years and it’ll be a full Mardi Gras commencing at the start of the breakdown.
I picked up a pair from Going Going Gone for 89 bucks. I love them. The cushion has no bounce but they offer a ton of protection. The foam gets better with a break-in but not bouncy. Firm enough to move at a decent pace. These are my "dead leg" shoes. I run in MCG shoes from Invinicle 3, prime X strung 2, etc etc. I appreciate the Bondi for what it is. They are absolutely in my rotation. They led me to pick up the Cielo X1 which are amazing. Hoka has something for everyone
Whatever the Bondi did to my stride, it hurt my knees like I’ve never encountered before lol. Great shoe for a long walk though, as long as your foot doesn’t get irritated by the arch contact.
Ran my first HM in the Bondi earlier this year around 225lbs. I’ve graduated to faster options as I’ve slimmed down and trained more, but my feet still appreciate them for recovery miles.
The Bondi was the shoe that brought me into the world of max cushion just over a year ago... soft, rockered, and so comfy to run in. That helped me to enjoy running a lot more.
I had the Bondi 7 and it felt like a foam brick 🧱. My coworker had told me it was soft but he was about 220 lbs. I always struggle with HOKA sidewalls though as they pressure the outside of my foot. I've been MCG at work lately, sporting the Superblast. I never loved it for running but it's a great shoe for being on my feet.
Great review, I own 3 pairs of the HOKA Bondi 8 and love them for their comfort at work. I work in the hospital and there at times I stand and walk around a lot and this shoe is good for that. As a matter of fact most people at my job that wear HOKAs, wear the Clifton 9 or Bondi 8. In the end of the day the Bondi 8 are not meant for running but I wonder if you can see if the Clifton 9 are in a review you can do soon.
I normally see these croissants gym-guys with the Bondi.. I've barely seen any runner with them though. Maybe I would have compared the Bondi with the More as well? Or maybe even with the Ghost Max 2 that now is also "fatter"? Nice video man! Cheers from Spain!
I got blisters from the lip that hugs your foot as it sits below the foam on the sole. They last few versions are far inferior to the first few, just like the Speegoats and many other Hoka's: they need to add some Peba, or something. However, I bought the Skyward X to try and baby an injury I have developed without stopping running in my training cycle for a 50K. I ran in it the last two days. For some reason the first day I felt a bit unstable, but today they felt amazing. I would definitely go for the Skyward X if I had to pay full price for the Bondi's. I would also buy the New Balance Fresh Foam More V5. I think they are far superior to the Bondi's and the Skyflow/Stackflow.
I'm big foot brotherhood with 12(300mm) wide. With some difficult buying running shoes experience due to my size out of stock, I did 'filter - size 12 wide - buy' on all the year end sale and finally 11 running shoes stacked on my shoe rack but there will be no more mistake with Supwell app.
Yes Bondi are great for big boys, but also a guy I know that’s won 2 marathons and a half, prefers the bondi 8. He puts the most miles in them in any given week.
I absolutely hate this shoe I had three pair all three the heel wore out in the 150-mile mark with a hard plastic thingy came through the heel and dug into my achilleas, so I have never worn them again. I am now however a New Balance guy mv5 banger!!!!
@@radoslavstoev4550 because they were comfortable walkers I just got sick of buying them so soon like every other week after the third pair I changed brands they all three tore up the same way.. still have them in the Garage

Review the Asics Superblast 2!
as a run coach, i may borrow "embody the slug" ✌
lol, that strong pronunciation of bondi is hilarious 🤣
If had to pick the Broos Ghos Mas vs the Hokacane 24 vs the Bondi 8- which would be your pick for everyday use / walking
I’ll be interested in Yowana’s answer:) I alternate between the Hurricane and the Ghost max 2

Bondi had a odd arch in it too if I remember.

Mach X1/2 comparison would be good, since the 1 is on sale for $140 now
saucony ain't happy right now and this man don't care lol, he's in the zone

Remember thats a 2 year old model, Bondai 8 was released on 2022, Hoka dont update the Bondai yearly.
