I have one stock AC15C1X with blueback. But I am curious about major difference from regular one and the hand wiring edition. Why the HW is larger in size
Just received my AC15 HW and learned one can jump the channels to blend the Normal and TopBoost Channels. Getting every shade of Vox character. Master Tone is quite musical. Also learned to daisy chain to my VoxAC4HW for effects.
Beautiful demonstration. I own a Vox AC4HW and love it! Can get rock to rich jazz tones. What are your thoughts on the normal channel? Have you ever jumpered the channels? My AC4 has a Greenback. Do you think it’s beneficial to get the Blue not only for tone but not duplicate the AC4 too much? Thank you kindly for your time.
I also own a vox ac4hw and find it to be really boxy sounding. It really needs to be cranked a little to get any sort of bass response. Do you not find the stock speaker either a bit muddy or too ice pick bright? Maybe i haven't broken the speaker in yet, but i have also considered changing it to a blue type.
Great demo and very cool playing ! Is the absence of an fx loop a handicap when playing with amp gain? I play a lot with delays and I'm afraid the result will be muddy.
yeah, you definitely have to be careful with how much time based effects you send into a VOX, effects loop or not. VOX amps kind of “fall apart” in a really musical way, it’s not like a Fender amp which will hold itself together. this is thanks to VOX’s lack of negative feedback, that’s where all the touch sensitivity and harmonic content comes from in a VOX but at the cost of being easy to make fall apart
I have this amp, and this may be a stupid question, but where do you plug your FX pedals into? Looking at getting a multi FX pedal, but no idea where I would actually plug it in as there doesn't appear to be anywhere to pug it in...
Gorgeous tone, beautiful notes. Which makes it as frustrating as all the other like clips that give ZERO information about the amp settings. No visual, no written. Why not ?? Far too common with amp demos.
well it is just a 60 second clip; just a showcase of what the amp *can* do, not necessarily how to get there. plus this amp will sound good at nearly any setting. just plug in the with the EQ controls at 12' o clock, turn up your master and channel volumes and start there :)
@@guitaristwilllane excellent - i have the AC30HW2X with all JJ's as well...sounds lovely and sparkly that Tele on the bridge pup...guessing you're on the top boost channel? Usually run mine on the normal channel as some dirt pedals don't seem to sound so great on the top boost channel. But that light gritty drive from your Mosky Golden Horse sounds fantastic. 😎 👌
thanks! the amp was running the TB channel, volume and eq at 12 o'clock. high cut up maybe around 3 o'clock. master disabled. for the pedals i can't remember exactly, but for the most part volume high, gain low. for the dd20 it was on the modulate setting with pretty long tails and a medium-high mix.
These people make me laugh man, it's not a good laugh though. The thinking of "I can tell the difference between a pair of Vietnamese hands, oh and dedo Chinese hands, White hands just give more toooan".
I have one, also with blue alnico and Range Master Treble booster, the guitar is an American Special Telecaster. The sound is fabulous.
Cool.

Very nice tone. Thanks.
Sold me man. Hard to beat hand wired and an Alnico blue.

you would plug them in where you'd normally just plug your guitar into. so from your guitar > fx pedals > standard input jack
@@guitaristwilllane Thanks. I have been wondering this for a while. I'll give this a shot!

Use your ears, instead of your eyes, when setting the controls on your amps.
sounds great - is that amp all factory stock?
hi dale, at the time of recording the circuit was 100% stock but with new tubes installed: JJ's ECC803s and EL84's, and a stock JJ EZ81

Very nice! Is the gold mini pedal a Tumnus?
it's a mosky golden horse
Amazing tone, can you share any details on the setup and pedals? I also own one and would appreciate it a lot.

I dont understand demos with pedals, whats the point
great point, lots of people use the ac15 platform with pedals so i'm just demoing the amp in a scenario of how it will actually be used
Sounds Chinesey
Made in Vietnam. It's a pretty brilliant amp. Actual current AC15's are MIC.
