Good video series! Please note if watching this particular video that chlorine will evaporate out if tap water is left in an open container over a day or two and that will affect the pH of your treated water. Let it set out a couple of days before testing. Plants don't like chlorine anyway.
I bought the starter kit and have a reverse osmosis filter and having trouble with ph. The test strip directly from the reverse osmosis filter is about a 7.5 (yellow/green)......when I add vinegar the test strip gets orange/red which is higher? I also dripped the test strip directly into lemon juice and the strip turned red (which is higher alkalinity). Is the litmus paper faulty perhaps?

strips are not that accurate vs ph meters. the right way is with volt readings on ph slope and use STANARD HYDROPONICS PH IKTS ON amazon
