@@TriniT21 I think they deserve each other. But, since Ridge is the only character who makes the couple a leading one, (and I've never understood why), I prefer him with Taylor!

She is already on the verge of having an incognito affair with him. So the self-sacrifice motivation is basically non-existent by now.
It started as a sacrifice for Ridge's happiness (never understood why she thought it was a good idea to keep him hurt about her death), then it turned into a sacrifice for the kids, now.. It's just gone beyond proper explanation.
And now, I can relate to Stephanie's anger, at first, when she discovers Taylor is alive. Ridge and Stephanie ( the ones who truly suffered for her loss) won't understand why she has hidden herself for so long.
@@babs4848 exactly - not wanting to (maybe) disrupt the children's lives (who at the point when Brooke and Ridge were in Casablanca on their honeymoon hadn't even _started_ that family life) just isn't a good reason to allow people who loved her to continue grieving. At this point, Taylor _has_ no reason to hide, other than the awkwardness of showing up and having to explain to her loved ones why she thought it was okay to let them think she had died.
Thorne can't blame alcohol and pills for his actions this time... I'd always said, tho, they tried to write Thorne as the "nice, sensitive" brother... But he really has always been the hot tempered one that simmers underneath til he explodes on someone. When he shot Ridge b4, the alco/pills combo merely heightened his inner temperament to get violently angry and act out on another person.
Yes, he always had it in him. I just wrote a post about how I think the show kind of hints at the possibility that Thorne actually _could_ have unalived Ivana. He pushed her to the floor and if she'd been unlucky, she could have hit her head on something or whatever. Thorne didn't un-unalive Ivana because he doesn't have unaliving in him, he un-unalived her because he was _lucky._
It would have been interesting to see how this storyline would have played out if Thorne really had killed Ivana. It may have killed the purity of the Thorne and Macy love story, but could have potentially made for more compelling viewing.
@@leviaj1 it is an interesting thought experiment. It would have been truly tragic because then Anthony would have committed the perfect cri me and got away with it while Thorne would have been the one convicted, and Macy would have been the one suffering for it. Macy clearly _doesn't know_ about what Thorne did before they met. It would have been interesting to see her reaction to this side of Thorne.
*Thorne's last scene as Othello* In this scene, Thorne plays the role of Shakespeare's Othello again - he threa tens Ivana and falsely accuses her of writing all of the letters, but he is basing this assumption on evidence that has been tampered with, and on suggestions planted by Anthony, who plays the part of Iago by setting _both Thorne and Ivana_ up for destruction. (I have previously compared Anthony both to Iago in Othello and Mephistopheles in Faust, and the two are arguably variations on the same character archetype - the "false friend" plotting the demise of the person who trusts them.) Like I've said before, Thorne and Macy have often had an Othello/Desdemona dynamic in the past, where Thorne has wrongfully accused Macy of different types of "betrayal", but this time the part of the wrongfully accused is being played by Ivana instead. And what we have here between Thorne and Ivana is actually something quite similar to Act V, Scene II of Othello (where Desdemona is mur dered by Othello) - Thorne/Othello shows up in a rage, falsely accuses Ivana/Desdemona based on an incri minating but misleading object that has deliberately been tampered with by Anthony/Iago to make her seem guilty (the purple stationery/the handkerchief), Ivana/Desdemona refuses to confess and instead claims to be innocent, and then the confrontation turns vio lent. Even the way Thorne takes hold of Ivana's throat and calls her (female dog) mirrors Othello smo ther ing Desdemona and calling her another name which means the same thing (this is my second attempt to get past the algae rhythm so I'm walking a fine line here). But then the scene takes a sharp turn and Thorne _leaves._ Essentially, he is removed or rescued from the Othello role at the last moment, and instead Anthony steps in to com mit the actual mur der. Anthony _absorbs_ Thorne's darkest and most problematic side. But there is an unspoken conclusion to be made - Thorne _was_ capable of kil ling Ivana, and _could_ have ended up doing it. After all, we remember what he did to his own brother, and how he has shown clear "Othello-like" personality traits in the past (vi o lent tendencies, pa ra noid jea lousy, problems dealing with rejection, seeing betrayal even when it doesn't exist). Anthony's Iago _could_ have succeeded in manipula ting Thorne to the point of actually kil ling Ivana - and that would have been a perfectly plausible scheme for Anthony when he first decided to write the second letter. However, the show never went there because it would have damaged Thorne's character beyond repair and made any happy ending impossible. Instead, in order to keep Thorne's character viable and on the road to redemption, Thorne's worst personality flaw is transferred onto Anthony (who, being evil already, doesn't suffer as a character because of it), and later on it will be _Anthony_ who gets to reenact Act V, Scene II of Othello the _second_ time (with Macy as Desdemona), and who ultimately gets puni shed for his cri me. I think this storyline works well as a "redemption arc" for Thorne because it finally resolves the one fatal character flaw that has been a part of his personality ever since the Ridge/Caroline "prank", and which has always prevented him from being happy with Macy. Thorne having to spend time in prison is part of this redemption and has been a long time coming, since he can't be fully redeemed until he pays for his past cr ime in some way, thus restoring the balance.
Bravo Annie! 👏 I love how how you carefully trace the Othello themes through Thorne's character history (he HAS tried to kill before) and his future redemption. Your close reading on Act V, Scene II of Othello is superb! 👌 And I'm intrigued by your observation that in the end, Anthony assumes Thorne's worst impulses as if he has to be both Iago and Othello to complete the story. It's similar to the Jane Eyre comparison in the A storyline where Rochester is embodied by _both_ Ridge and Omar.
@@NewYorkNick0607 thanks Nick! 😊 It's one of my favorite Shakespeare scenes, so I find it fascinating that its key elements occur _twice_ in the course of this storyline (Othello conf ron ting Desdemona over an object he discovered that makes her look guilty, which she denies, and things going disastrously downhill from there). There are additional elements as well from the scene - this first version with Thorne has the whole Iago plot, the second version with Anthony has the "Put out the light" soliloquy. And Anthony's "double role" as Iago and Othello also mirrors the earlier writing for Thorne when he was the one who planted unfounded suspicions in his own mind, functioning as _his own Iago._ This plot also fits my "second act" theory because what Anthony is doing here is the same modus operandi as Deveney Dixon used with Thorne in 1989 when she hoped to fuel his dark side and set him up to get thrown in pri son for unaliving Ridge. I like your Jane Eyre comparison! Ridge is the blind Rochester here, but both Brooke and Taylor have characteristics of _both_ Jane Eyre and Rochester's wife. Taylor is the first wife who is hidden from view, but it is Brooke who causes Ridge's blindness. And both of them want to take care of Ridge, meaning they are in a kind of competition to be his true companion as opposed to being the "other woman" whose claim to Ridge isn't acknowledged.
@@annieo6527 OMG the Deveney comparison! You're SO right! Note the similarities: they both have alliterative names (Anthony Armando and Deveney Dixon), they both came into public view at a Forrester/Spectra combo fashion show, and Anthony's first appearance was him coming on to a Sleeping Beauty Macy just as Deveney first appeared as Stephanie's Sleeping Beauty daughter.
@@NewYorkNick0607 yes, and both of them had a kind of two-part character arc where first there was a period of time when they seemed harmless (or relatively harmless) and then they showed their true colors. What pushed them over the edge and made them become their most dangerous selves and set their plan in motion was perceived romantic rejection (Deveney had unrealistic dreams about Thorne falling in love with her, Anthony had the same hopes about Macy). And both characters' actions seem "evil" in the sense that their desire for revenge is out of proportion and misdirected, since they really brought it all on themselves.

@@Esi-741 I have two thoughts combined. 1. Ivana calls 911 ( it's her right to do so). 2. She has provoked the situation by sending the first letter. Therefore, she should turn herself in when 911 comes because she is guilty of a crime also. No kidding. 🤭
@@Angel.M.Trinidad Ivana has done very little to provoke this situation. Her first letter was a long time ago and it wasn't nearly as bad as the other ones. This is not Ivana's fault, she is one of the victims.
@@annieo6527 I have not seen that yet. So far, I have seen her make Jessica's life hell with alcohol. Also sending someone threats via a letter can send that person in various directions therefore what she did to Macy is seriously wrong. The length of time in which she did her crime against Macy does not matter. If she killed someone years ago she would still be guilty and the person would still need justice. So whether her wrongdoing is seemingly small or large she needs to pay for that - Macy needs justice from both Ivana and Anthony. I reiterate, icy Ivana is a very envious provoking person.
And Anthony's "double role" as Iago and Othello also mirrors the earlier writing for Thorne when he was the one who planted unfounded suspicions in his own mind, functioning as _his own Iago._
This plot also fits my "second act" theory because what Anthony is doing here is the same modus operandi as Deveney Dixon used with Thorne in 1989 when she hoped to fuel his dark side and set him up to get thrown in pri son for unaliving Ridge.
M’y god Thorne turned psychotic like Sheila here lolll
Flashback to ep. 395, when BRIDGE has sex at the hospital after Ridge has been shot. Today's nurse at least didn't have to get another nurse involved to ask what was going on there in the bed and if it is good for his medical health. 😅
Cringy convo between Taylor and Jack about the kiss. Almost bad as the bridge kissing scene. 🤮
Not really, since nothing is as bad as watching boring Bridge! LOL🤮
Was Taylor trying to imitate Julia Child when she was serving dinner? Wth hahaha
@ brenda, yes she was trying
Ivana was bad...Anthony is worse...
Where can I get next episode ?
Hit next eppy
Oh boy.. Taylor now has morphed accents into Julia Child. Please end this SL.
So when Ridge gets out of the hospital, Taylor will become the nanny for the kids and live with Ridge and Brooke until the kids go to college.
Is Jack’s apartment the same set as the one for James?
Police response time in LA was really bad wasn't it? That Anthony had time to do all this while they were on the way was pretty astounding. ITs almost like this was 2024 or something.
This is actually Season 9
Yes!!!❤❤❤
I think Anthony's going to kill lvanna and Frame Thorne for it 😢
Thorne deserves to be put behind bars just as much as Sheila does!
Thorn, Anthony and Sheila all need to share a cell...
@@TriniT21 Interesting! 😂
He will be tomorrow
@@TriniT21 Esi has a soft spot for Anthony, she's not ready to admit that
@@tiroyaonejustinphologolo9763 I thought it was Burke? 😉
So, we are at the point where Hunter Tylo is just doing lots of funny voices. Julia Child, enraged Moroccan princess, bumbling hospital volunteer from Scotland, and when she's at the diner, Midwestern visitor who cannot find her wallet.
Now I see why Thorne gets arrested!
Monika Shnarre ( Ivana ) is a bad actress
what a plot twist. I was sure it was sly
Hey ridge how can a blind man have S 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Most Women enjoy being knocked to the ground ..And bring called a *"':; Thorne !! 😂 😂
🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹 OMG its Anfunee is the culprit who has been writing the letters! He now confessed to icy Ivana. Well Anthony is a psycho hmm. Only crazy men in this show and lover boys ha ha.
Angel/Trinidad West Indies.
🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
Another episode that is hard pass.
Bell jr can't write.
Ivana and Thorne 😴
I know this was supposed to be a dramatic scene but these are 2 of the weakest actors (not to mention a dumb story)
Brooke and Ridge 😴😴
They are relating the only way they have known how since 1989...borrrinnggg
I agree! Too many crazies running around at the same time! Anthony, Sheila, Thorne!
I don’t like what they’ve done to Anthony….
🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹 Long legged long lush haired icy Ivana calls 911 on Thorne. She is really envious and provoking.
Angel/Trinidad West Indies.
🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
Are you kidding? He put his hands on her, not to mention breaking into her apartment.
She has made Macy her victim due to envy. Even if she is now a victim - karma returns. 😦
@@Angel.M.Trinidad well, yes, of course what she did to Macy sending that first letter is wrong. But she realizes that now and has changed for the better. She is a 19 year old kid who doesn't deserve what is coming to her.
Ridge learns that sex is also good in the dark... good for him... oy
tayor is totally unaware to her complete inability of acting with an accent
Bridge makes this episode interesting
Absolutely Agree…❤👍🤗
LOL...quite the opposite🙈👎
Was pleasantly surprised we got some Bridge today. 🥰
The rest of B&B isn’t worth commenting on…👎
Maybe when Taylor reveals herself things will get more interesting?🙄
Not into watching the Psycho drama going on with Sheila and Anthony…🥴
@@bettyhopson I found it difficult to get into Thorne fighting with Ivana.. It lacked dynamism to me from those 2 actors, not to mention the story is 😴
@@TriniT21and I find it beyond difficult and boring to watch Bridge! They're anything, but interesting! LOL....
Finally Brooke have decent hairstyles…
She always does. Georgous thick hair
Ridge and Brooke, hot, hot, hot. Best chemistry on the show!!
Thorne has made the scene right for Anthony he made all the wrong moves. poor Ivana she trusted the wrong man he is thinking of killing her betrayal is a terriable thing
Zero sympathy for Ivana.
Yes, Thorne is playing right into Anthony's hands.
It's chilling that throughout the scene where Anthony holds Ivana and comforts her, the letter opener is in his pocket waiting to be used...
