Wow... It's done! Wahoo! When did you take your Christmas decor down? Did you do it all at once, or did you spread it out over time? Hope you have fun watching me having fun. So glad you're here!
I took ours down the 1st. I usually put it up December 1 and take it down January 1st. My grandmother did it and my mom did it like that, so I guess I followed suite 🤭 A quiet heart is great! I like that for the year. Your sweater is pretty. Decorating is fun for me. I am in no way a minimalist🤭 That was our house when the kids were young. I miss it sometimes. Mine are all grown now. I like your little talking space. Have a great weekend!
Wow you did a great job Rozanne, lovely video, thank you 🙏 I love my little appartment and love to decorate, but because it is not so big, I don't overdue it. Decluttered a lot in 2024 😊 and now it looks great. Not a 'Christmas person'. So decorated a bit the 15th of december, but took out the little tree and very little crib already at the 28th. In wintertime I love 🕯🕯🕯🕯 everywhere, it's cosy here. Living more minimalistic now, brings me so much peace in my heart and head. Much time to be creative with paper and fabric. Bye bye dear Rozanne, you are sweet ❤ Love from the Netherlands, Anjo 👋👋⚘🫂🙏🕯
@@TowardsASimpleLife ooh lovely reaction of you, yeh I'm happy here 🙏 and grateful to live here. Oh and my word of the year 2025 is 'freedom' To everyone and for myself to do what is good for me and be who I am 🎶🌈🧚♀️🫂🕯🕯👋
I LOVE that pink sweater 😍😍😍 You look great in everything I've seen you in, but there's just something about that color that just...gosh I just love it on you! Such a sweet color. Suits your personality 😊
I worked super hard for the first week. I got all our Christmas bins out and went through it all. Like you, I now have lots of empty bind. 🎉 Happy New Year!!!
Yay Connie!!! You cannot possibly imagine how grateful I am to hear from you and Joyce and to know that you guys still love me. I’ve been through a rough family time. Bless you!!!!!!!
@TowardsASimpleLife so sorry for your rough time. They keep coming, don't they? Yes, Joyce and I will always love you!!! Family is the most important thing there is. I'm still feeling guilty that I didn't break away and go to Roslind's funeral.
@cwdrummond I wasn’t allowed to go. Rough. Rough. It has left me feeling like I don’t know who to trust or who loves me. I am afraid to approach anyone, so I just about lost it with relief when you guys commented on the video. The reasons for the banning - if I understand it right - is ridiculous, particularly since it isn’t true. Yesterday (in the temple), I was brought to understand that my dad is going to take care of the situation for me. He’s the family Patriarch, so it is his responsibility and he will do it somehow. I just have to be forgiving and patient. So thank you, thank you for commenting! Who knows, maybe Dad knew how much I needed to hear from you.
@cwdrummond Guess who suddenly called me? Out of the blue and he doesn’t do it much. Mark. I cried with relief and tried to get him to believe that Dad did that. I have a good father. Mark still loves me.
Hola. Its funny b/c i dont put a lot of Christmas up, but when u have to take it down it can be regrettable 😂 Bins come in handy. I dont have enough which makes me create random hiding spaces around the house. The front of ur home was festive and lovely. I would be in love with the ornament keepers too. They look like they come in handy. 12 hours is A LOT. glad ur relaxing now. I like to decorate but i also dont like a lot of items around my home. It gives me anxiety. Glad u conquered this. Have a wonderful weekend. Jamming to Joplin.
Oh man… Joplin! That will get you moving. I enjoyed watching you out your decorating up and take them down. It was very relaxing to watch. Hope you’re feeling better these days.
Aloha 🌺 I do love Christmas decorations but I also have cats. I love old bulbs. My cats have broken my fav blue ones. I like a blue, silver white look. But I do it all on my own. It was wonderful to see your beautiful decorations! Aloha 🌺🥰💖
I need to put my Xmas stuff away. I’ve never waited so long before in my life. I just felt so exhausted physically and mentally this year that I couldn’t get myself to do it. I did manage to collect all of it and put it all on ad around my coffee table last weekend but now it’s been sitting there in giant piles for a week 🫣
Loved this video! You sure are getting your mojo back. I take my decorations down a little at a time. The trees get packed up last but they are small and not a lot of trouble. I do like your new talking corner-nice and homey. I always wrap my snow globes in bubble wrap tied with ribbon to prevent breakage. They go in a bin with certain other breakable pieces. My cleaning lady came today so everything is tip top plus I finished washing ALL the bedding for three beds this last week- sheets, pillowcases, blankets, mattress covers & 2 bedspreads. Whew!!
Wow, three beds worth of bedding, that's a lot of washing! You did a lot. I should have used bubble wrap. I was so silly to just stick them in there like that. No wonder one broke. Yes, it is nice that I’ve been feeling better lately!
I change my decos each month. So on Jan 1st I start taking the Christmas ones down & then I do a little each day. I have it all down now except for the pretty lights on the front porch. I'll get to them tomorrow when the bitter cold is gone. I also keep my wreaths up through the end of the month. I used to dance with my Dad during Lawrence Welk. I would stand on his feet. 💚
Enjoyed this video. I’m recovering from a winter bug, which has been quite a bad one. Your video was a nice pick me up! I received a piano today from someone in the family so I can play piano again, which has been wonderful. Not sure if you have heard of Einaudi but it was great practicing his music again. You play so well!
The corner turned out beautiful! Yes, I love to decorate. I have a few dedicated spots however, because I can't do as much anymore. I love to change my decor regularly. I took my Christmas decor down on January 2nd. I spread it out over a few days. Love from the Netherlands. Wishing you a blessed New Year. ❤ Karin
I, too, spend a quiet New Year’s Day planning for the year. Something I’ve done the last few years is to make note of details to adjust in events or change in my decorations for the Christmas season to come.
Great job! That was a lot of Christmas! I’ve got just as much and need to get started with the breakdown. I also need new storage containers, bags, etc. Thanks for the motivation!
Whew, its alot of work taking it all down. I takw mine down the day after Xmas because I put mine up at the end of Sept. I love Xmas that much, but I am relieved when I take it all down😊. God Bless and have a great new year. Your home is lovely.
I have never been much of a decorator. I set out a few items for Thanksgiving and a few more for Christmas, along with a tree, and that’s it. Both of our daughters are the exact opposite of me. They love to decorate for the holidays. You have such a lovely home…..a true blessing. ❤-Brenda
HAPPY NEW YEAR 💕I JUST LOVE ALL YOUR TREES AND DECORATIONS,, I'M THE SAME I LOVE TO PUT UP SEVERAL TREES AND MANY DECORATIONS, IT'S SOOO WORTH IT , IT HEALS ME SOMEHOW,,,, !!!!! THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL VIDEO 💕
Good to see you are done with the decorations until next year. You did a good job, to put away so many decorations...looks too exhausting for me...I am glad that I have very little living in a small place...I only have to take down the Christmas Cards. I have a tiny little tree which I leave up all year with tiny decorations & lights...I call it my money tree to bring in more Money & Prosperity in the New Year 2025....lol 😀
Good job getting everything put away. I like the corner you created. I have a lot of Christmas decorations, but I put very few out now. I don't have the enthusiasm I once did. I'll be married 47 years in July. Where does the time go?
I used to like many things everywhere, but I found it too much to care for and work as I got older. I downsized, and now it's easy to clean and enjoy much more. I have a lot more free time.
In terms of having decor all around the house, I guess you could say I’m “the less is more” kind of person. I do like my pretty things around but I keep it very minimal! Some statement pieces, a few treasured books, tasteful lamps I guess uncluttered is my style.
Thank you. We were excited to see the entry when we were touring the home prior to buying it. My husband immediately started talking about garland in the banisters for Christmas!
this year i decided to donate my 4ft white tree w/ cardinals and lights. ive had the same for 3 yrs. but arthritis in my shoulders is making it difficult to store it. lift it, etc. and im bored with the llok. will get smaller tree net year. and what is under the couch? magazines? i do some decor, i just cant do what i use to. not allowed ladders, bone spurs in my heel. and no family. what friends i had passed, or got dementia, so i have simplified so i can handle it. if i get bored i donate and find something low cost on amazon or ebay. i took christmas down on the 5th after family get together they live 20-30 miles away. and i just change my entrance to baby blue & silver and clearbulb, 1 has silver sequins inside bulb, 1 has blue sequins & a few vinyl christmas trees and matching snowflakes, and 1 cute bulb on door, its clear with that has a spiral of beaded silver wire inside.
Good eyes! Those are puzzle sorter boxes. Sometimes I do my puzzle in the living room so I store the boxes there. Right now, I’m doing the puzzle in my room and the board and a couple of the sorter boxes are under my bed. I wondered if anyone would notice the boxes. 😀 Your entry decorations sound beautiful.
I love your big tree! your house is always so festive! Next year we’ll have 4 big trees and a few smaller ones My husband doesn’t get it lol but it’s beautiful to me! Tfs! ❤
You did a great job taking down the decorations and redecorating! I love your pink sweater so much! I listened to the video while doing lesson plans for February (PreK!). Thank you! -Belinda
Just a question… why wouldn’t you roll up the tree ribbon instead of just pushing it down into the bins…? Won’t you have to steam or iron out the wrinkles??

That's it, you have inspired me to pack away Christmas for another year! Thank you😊
You are very welcome! I’m so glad it helped!

Oh thanks! I do love that shade of pink. It’s kind of hard to find, so it’s hard for me to resist when I dine it. 😀😀
Rozanne, great video and I know you are glad all of your Christmas is down, too. Thanks for sharing and have a great day.
Thanks Kathy!

LOVE your sweater.
Thanks Joyce!

That is such a great idea! I need to start doing that. I should write down the idea for the tree next year so I won’t forget it.
You had a lot of Christmas! I haven’t taken mine down yet, ick!

I don’t know where it goes. I can’t even imagine that I will be married 49 years in 2025. How???
@TowardsASimpleLife You don't look like you could have been married that long!
@ yep! We got married in 1976. Yikes!

Thank you so much! Lesson plans brings me back to my former life. I was a junior high music teacher. I’m glad you liked it!

Here is the tree bag:

Hope that helps!
@TowardsASimpleLife Thank you so much. Have a great day!! 😊
I love your pink sweater! Can you tell me where you got it?
Thanks! I bought it from Temu.
Just a question… why wouldn’t you roll up the tree ribbon instead of just pushing it down into the bins…? Won’t you have to steam or iron out the wrinkles??
They are all wired ribbons, so they are simple to maintain. When you use them next, just smooth them out with your hands as you put them up. Easy!
Oh ok… I have always had to steam them unless I wound them around my hand or a paper towel tube.
@KathleenMansfield-f7r I used to do that until I figured out I didn’t need to!
Question: what’s the name of your other channel?
Just Talking About Life youtube.com/@justtalkingaboutlife
I enjoy your videos, my taste is similar to yours! You deserve a rest! How many grandchildren do u have living with?
That’s wonderful to hear. I’m glad you’re here! I have two granddaughters living with us.
I commend you that’s a difficult thing to do!
The older I get the less I wanna decorate, too much stuff! I like to simplify.
I say whatever you like is what you should do. 😀
Hello, Sweetheart!
Hi, you too! 👋
