  • Blue Lock content comments are hilarious sometimes. People that play sports like soccer or football, basketball, volleyball, etc. because of sports anime like Blue Lock, Kuroko's Basketball or Haikyuu, Ao Ashi, etc. should not receive hate because they were inspired by it #anime #manga #bluelock

To be fair. Blue lock revived my love to Football. I used to like it but toxic friends always we're Putting me in Goalkeeper role (I don't say it was toxic but i felt a Bad emotions towards me even on classes and beyond school). It was frustraiting because i dreamed even to be in defensive role. The show gave me a new look to the football by telling that every one have own skills but it can be revealed by playing on the pitch.

The same thing happens in the volleyball community and it makes me so sad, as a volleyball player who loves Haikyuu. I started playing volleyball before I even knew what anime was, but it makes me really sad when volleyball players who don't watch Haikyuu look down on and make fun of people who like it or were inspired to start volleyball because of Haikyuu. I wonder what their reaction would be to knowing that multiple professional volleyball players like Haikyuu, like Yuji Nishida openly being a fan of it and Erik Shoji reacting to some of the episodes and saying he wants his passing form to look like Nishinoya's. Sports are for EVERYONE, and as long as you put in the work and respect everyone, it doesn't matter how you got into it as long as you do your best and have fun with it.

I became more invested in a sport cause of anime and I see no problem in that if that makes people more active and healthy why not. Anyways wanting to play a sports cause you watched a sport's anime is the purpose of sport's anime, to inspire viewers to try out the sport and experience the fun in it.

    • @jeansanchez8700

I very much doubt any football fan would tell you not to play the sport. The problem is only looking at Blue Lock as if real football was like it, then try to mold the match to how you see Blue Lock and expect them to take it. Would you not correct someone new to anime to stop calling it a cartoon or a kid's show and explain the difference? That is all we're doing. Messi is one of the if not the most humble and down to Earth football players ever, and even so he managed to become the third highest scorer of all time, and he might have an ego of just not wanting to lose, but he will pass the ball. I am not saying that egoists do not exist, I mean just watch the Zlatan Ibrahimovic highlights and he calls himself an egoist, but not all players are like that. The problem is that people coming from Blue Lock think they already know everything they need to know just by watching the anime and all of a sudden are on the same level as fans who actually know ball and some of the history of the club they support.

Besides, Haikyuu and Blue Lock are not the same 💀, it's quite edgy and I imagine the ppl who gatekeep them from the sport is because the target audience are wannabes who suddenly think they can play well, true or not, thats what first impression do

    • @jeansanchez8700

Bro there is no "true or not". There isn't a single human being, except for maybe Leo Messi when he was 3 or 4 and started playing football, that will be good at the sport from the first time they try it. They have no idea how to control the ball and that was always a difficult task for me who have been playing since a child. The problem is they act cocky trying to be like Barou, then say cringe shit like Ego or start shouting "I'm a striker" like Isagi. Bro that is fucking ridiculous. I grew up watching Super Campeones (I think it's called Captain Tsubasa in Japan) and Inazuma Eleven, and do you think I went around shouting the ball is my friend, and kept the ball to myself running around in circles for days just to get the the opposite goal without passing it once just bc they did something like that in Captain Tsubasa or Inazuma Eleven? No. They should not act like the Blue Lock characters either. It's cringe.
