Speaking of life savings, did you know that bees create one spoonful of honey in their lifetime? Kinda like their life savings, but people steal it for frivolous reasons, like sweetening their teas and whatnot. 🤦🏻♂️
Little critters like these always do something SUPER fast and frantically, then they freeze up and just sort of stare, and then they just burst into the speed zone out of nowhere again.
If i recall correctly … i read in one scientific study that many small creatures have extremely fast reflexes and actually perceive speed/time/distance factors much faster than larger animals. Therefore, if they can mentally keep up with it-it must not be super fast to them 😮-idk. i know everything is relative to specific situations. It was something i noticed as well… and i had thoughts similar to your comment a while back.
These guys are the other family of Langamorphs! Not cavi. So they are more related to rabbits than rodents lol. I see a running theme with stumpy tails, bigger than rodent's ears, and their noses are exactly the same as rabbit noses
Much better than the only other Pika video I have seen. More dynamic angles, better view of the haystack, better commentary, explained the poisonous plant breakdown.
This would make a good simulator, having to gather a quota of flowers, avoiding predators and stealing from another pikas. For some reason sounds very much like us.
I can imagine this as a sort of moral story where two pika steal from each others piles, never noticing the food that's gone missing. Their piles never grow, and they are both left without enough for winter. A tale of greed and sloth leading to their downfall or something of the sort. That said, these little guys are so cute and hardworking it's hard to imagine such an outcome 😂
Fascinating little creature. Thanks for the narration - I thought it was "pie-ka." I guess there are different kinds of picas; there are collared picas in Alaska. I love it when they shout "eeep!" Um...that's all I have...bye!
Is this a mere coincidence that the thief is female and the victim is male? I bet it's not. This is exactly what happens in most human sexual relationships.
@@sudhanshutiwari7376 Male pikas steal from female pikas as well in the wild. I could use that to try and spin some agenda about sexism, but they're just animals, so that would be stupid to do. Think before you type, and just enjoy the pikas
What about 200 blinks in your eyes? We blink over 200 times a day naturally WITHOUT thinking about it. Easy! We grow our hairs from our body and head more than 200 times a day and we have more than 200 hairs a day. We talk or sign language over 200 times a day (per word) if active, healthy or aggressive, not old ages, lazy bum or relax and rest, or poor healthy. We move our eyeballs around when we look at randomly. Over 200 eyeball movements a day. We play a video game or computer (including clicking or pressing) or train over 200 times a day. In our brain, we can hold more than 200 times a day. But we don’t use them all or we forget. We can do a lot of 200 per day randomly.
Smart 🤓🦉 and cute! 💕 An astounding display of intelligence to think that far in advance about the poisonous plants while storing edible plants for winter. Wily and sly robbing her neighbor's stored food supply, his haystack.😆

The fact they can plan ahead like that with the toxic plant is pretty amazing.

Pikas has a special skill. They can throw their voices, which is fairly unique in the animal kingdom!
What do you mean by they can throw their voices?
I'm falling in love with her awwww
