Those new port lights are amazing especially with the bug screen!! The black interior will give it some color inside.. you're gonna love the smoked glass because it's going to keep the sun from heating everything up in the galley.. the stainless inside would have looked nice if you still had the varnished wood in the area but since you painted it a nice white the black looks really good
I don't want to lose the extra knot, even in cruising mode, 1 knot per hour is 24 nautical miles a day. On a 30 day ocean crossing that's 720NM, could be the difference between arriving a week early, escaping bad weather, etc... I'm going with the external bow thruster, as it only takes a minute to install and remove. I wholeheartedly agree with the need for additional maneuverability.
Hi John, I agree that on a long passage that 1 knot or so can make a substantial difference. It is only our speculation as to how much drag the bow thruster creates, tried to look up some more data now, all I found was that one can lose up to 0.5 knots of speed. Perhaps we exaggerated a bit ;) But we are prepared to pay that price for better manoeuvrability. The externally mounted thruster does sound great, I guess it doesn't get fouled so less maintenance required. Best wishes, Nat & Ziggy
I have to admit, now that I am looking at the portlights that were advertised (ie. all stainless steel with plastic knobs)..I actually prefer the ones we have now. Glad there was this mess up. The black aluminum looks pretty slick 🤩
The algorithm served up one of your videos the other day and I enjoyed it so much that I watched from the start and so far I have got to here! Re-fit is looking good and like the chilled vibe from your videos! Just a thought, and it might not be practical for other reasons as I know nothing about boats, but just wondered whether the portlight needed to open upwards or whether you could rotate it 180 so it opens downwards thus allowing it to be fully opened. Of course at this point (2 months later) it could very well already fixed in place etc!
So the algorithm does work sometimes! Excellent 🙌 so glad to hear you stayed on to watch other episodes 🙏 Thanks for the idea for the portlights, they aren’t fitted permanently yet. We want to paint the cockpit first. We will definitely consider your suggestion for portlights. 👍
New portlights looking awesome and solid, great change 😊😊
Thanks Patryk ☺️👍 We are pleased with them.

The new portlights are two solid thumbs up! Looks truly great! :D That was a really good upgrade.
They are fantastic! 🤩 We really like them, more than the ones we were supposed to get. We were lucky we got them at such a bargain.
@@sailingsqualo Yeah, they look very sleek and modern! :D for a bargain its a no brainer to me. Happ for you guys! Keep it up, you're doing great!
Looks nice and clean… 😊 glad you squeezed in some sanding.😢
The week wouldn’t be complete without some sanding 🤣
Fajnie znowu odwiedzić Waszą perełkę i te OKNA!!! Nie myślałam, że tak będą się prezentować! Super!🤩😍🥰
Też bardzo się cieszymy. Wyglądają lepiej niż sobie wyobrażaliśmy!! 😘
If you like it, I like it. Brilliant answer sir.
That’s right! 😂 no matter where you’re from..that is the right answer!
Nice update on the portlights!
Thank you 😊

Good answer my man good answer 😂
Portlights are a great improvement. Look nicer from the inside too! Bowthruster will make life much easier.

Very, very nice portlights.. to much stainless bling inside isn't my cup of tea... 🙂👍
Thank you 🙏 they are lovely. Especially considering we paid only half the price what they normally cost.
sailing a 1/2 knot slower sure beats crashing into a 4 million dollar yacht while docking !!
Definitely 😅
